    a colorful food truck

Dropped by Tacos Limonense passing through town and I had the pleasure of enjoying carnitas and Al pastor tacos. The tortillas were perfectly heated with a nice crisp on the outside. The carnitas tacos were juicy and slightly crunchy on the outside. Although the picture on the truck showed the Al pastor on a vertical grill I don't think thats a fair representation and that perhaps their Al pastor just seasoned and chopped pork grilled on the flat top - kind of good but not really authentic. All in all, it's a good taco truck that should not be missed!

I found Tacos Limonense parked next to the Manteca Public Library. A cash only operation, it limited me from buying my usual array of dishes and thus making it harder to grade. I had a carnitas burrito. It was dense, loaded with meat, rice and beans. It had a little zing to it besides the cilantro. Perhaps I should've ordered the Supreme and gotten a little more (onions, crema, etc). So that leaves me at a personal score of 3.5 stars. I need to go back with a little more scratch and sample further. I can then award the extra half for a four star rating.

Great flavor! The truck is there 7 days a week from 10:30 am to 8 pm ish:) I had 2 veggie tacos, a veggie huarache and an aqua fresca (Jamaica) For the veggies they do rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, radish and tomatoes. They also will add crema but I leave that off. They all had a green sauce that had a little spice but it was delicious. They also gave me grilled onions on the side. Love that! The Jamaica was delicious as well. There is street parking and they put out some tables and chairs. They were also at a city park so more benches available. All came to $10.50. Very good price and quick service. Thank you ladies

Not a birria taco like there picture on menu nor the flavors you expect... just roast in a tortilla....

Saw pics of the birria tacos so I had to go and try as it looked like they prepare them like El Azteca and the famous Birraiarria San Marco in Los Angeles.... Unfortunately I was wrong nothing like the picture.. plain tortilla not fried in birria oil like picture on there menu and the meat was just like a plain old roast nothing special no seasoning none of that chili and clove flavor you expect.... Maybe try something else next time but if I want a normal asada taco im going over to acosta's.

So absolutely delicious!!!!! Best Mexican food in town hands down!!! Food is so delicious, so fresh and so hot (as it should be) Great prices and super tasty!

I'm iffy about this place, I come all the time the food was perfect when I first started going past month or two I've been getting tacos with mixed meat, some meat seems old some is fresh and is not tasting good. Please fix this & throw out food once it gets to hard. It's starting to happen to me more frequently, first couple times I ignored it but don't want to waste my money anymore.

I eat at this truck at least once a week. Food is always delicious and consistent. I take everyone I can to this truck or bring them food from it. If your from Stockton, this truck is like something a mix of a North side and crow valley taco truck, just a lot cleaner.

My delicious carne asada tacos! Definitely a must try!

Good tacos are so hard to find, but these are probably the best I've had in the area! Super friendly service and great food. I've had their al pastor, asada and birria and I've liked all the meats so far! I could probably eat there everyday. Finally a good taco truck nearby and I don't have to drive to Oakland

Super burrito it's all tortilla no filling!

Hard to rate this because I really love there food tacos are delish and super burrito are awesome but only when the guys are making it. Unfortunately every time the gal is cooking the super burrito are so dry and small it's all tortillas it's like she does a baby burrito instead extremely frustrating! Please train her properly! This is from today.

On our visit they were only taking cash -luckily we had enough on us as the prices were very reasonable & portions huge! My hubby had the gigantic Chili relleno burrito with Carne asada & fresh veggies; i had the Huevos Mexicana with the very savory sauce on top that was not that spicy/perfect for my taste. I was pleasantly surprised with the homemade corn tortillas and homemade chips & salsa that came with our meals. Very clear that this place is frequented by a steady stream of regulars stopping by for take out, or sitting down for Menudo or Birria tacos. Highly recommend this place if you are hungry because of the large filling portions, quality & well prepared food at a small family run business. This location has several tables/indoor seating and was very clean/well maintained.

I ordered the three taco combo plate and you can mix and match the meats. I got all birria and it came with consome as well as rice and beans. The service was nice and quick. The tacos were very filling and the meat was juicy. The consome was really good as well. It did not have a lot of oil like other places. Overall I would for sure come back and try other things on their menu.

The sign said Taquizas so that's what we'll go with for now (though the trailer did say Magda's tacos or Tacos Magda). I ordered 3 tacos (asada, pastor, Chicken), a quesabirria and a horchata. Pastor had some nice char and was relatively tender. My favorite Al Pastor tacos pretty much always have some form/taste of pineapple but theirs to me just doesn't have it. Maybe it was drowned out by the salsa? The asada was fairly standard, nothing to write home about. Not especially tender or tough. Tad dry though. Of the regular tacos, the chicken was the most standoutish. Very moist and tender. On the negative though, it was VERY salty to the point where I almost didn't finish it. The quesabirria had some positives and negatives too. The tortilla was nicely done with just the right amount of crisp. The meat itself was a tad tough and dry though. And this is possibly the first time that I had a quesabirria that didn't come with consommé for dipping. Quesabirria just doesn't hit the same without it. And with quesabirria I also prefer that green salsa already inside it as opposed to putting it on after the fact. They had a table with all of the condiments and toppings like salsa and onions. I was more than happy to do it myself for the regular tacos. The horchata was so grainy and not refreshing at all. Not super sweet either so I guess that's a plus. Don't know how horchata is made; is it blended because if so it definitely needed to be blended even more. Or is it strained out? I don't know. The person who took my order was very pleasant though. They also got my food out pretty quickly. I don't think I could give them more than a 3/5 and that's a little generous.

Incredible flavor. While I waited the staff surprised me with a complimentary vampiro taco which was amazing. Toasted tortilla with melted cheese, meat, cabbage, red salsa, and avocado sauce. Their website says save time and call or text your order so that's what I did. I initially accidentally texted the salida truck but they then redirected me to the riverbank location number so I texted at 8:38 to have my order ready for pick up at 6:50 since it was cinco de mayo I knew they'd most likely be busy. They never confirmed so I sent another follow up text at 11:28 am then they responded confirming that it should be ready by your birthday dinner at 6:50pm. Hence if you didn't catch that it was my birthday. I get there at 6:50 on the dot. They were busy which I figured. My daughter and I stood around patiently waiting for a few mins then no one was coming. I flagged down the gentleman and I told him I have an order pick up for 6:50 for Lisa. He said, "ok it's gonna be a few minutes it's coming up." I said ok and sat down. There were maybe about 6-8 people. Person after person is being called and I am still waiting. Even a gentleman went up and said did you forget my order so he must have been waiting some time too. Then he called me Liz waved me down to come up and said there was a confusion with orders did you order it here and I showed him the text from the number on the truck who confirmed everything. My name was not Liz. I showed him the order and he still seemed confused and said ok it's coming up. 4 more people get called and 7:20 rolls around and I'm so close to just walking out. It's cold outside, my daughter in the car hungry, family at home hungry waiting to celebrate, and to top it off it's my birthday which I informed them of at 8:38 in the morning. Finally 7:31 rolls around and he calls me Liz once again waves me down and apologizes but the damage was already done. I was upset which I'm sure he caught but I wasn't going to be rude and told him this was suppose to be ready and now I'm late to dinner. In his apologies he gave me a can of coke to make things better which I don't know how it would. He gave me 3 limes for 5 tacos and a burrito. You get one small container of consommé which I asked for another one for 5 tacos. He told me to be careful on the lids of the consommé which was already leaking out and I took out the bag but to just get all over my hands. I get home finally and the food is fresh which I'd hope it would be after I sat there for 40 mins. Now for the food the quesabirria tacos were salty but then you're heat with the spicy of the tacos that for my daughter she barely could eat it. Even I thought they had some heat to them I could only eat 1 1/2 and decided to take some tums just for the spice. My husbands burrito was okay but salty and spicy which was expected but it has salsa in it so that made sense and my husband tolerates spicy better. The final nail on the coffin and the happy birthday to me was being sick on the toilet all night to waking up this morning nauseous. I will not be returning maybe the salida truck has better service but not so much here in riverbank. Honestly I should have given 1 star but I know they're new in the area but hope they do better for others based on my experience.
