Very solid taco truck located on the side street right next to the Manteca Library. Not the best taco or burrito I've ever had, but certainly nowhere near the worst either. I've dined here many times and always have an enjoyable meal. Prices aren't bad, though it's cash only so remember to take cash! My personal favorite of the meats I've tried has been the Pollo Asada. I tried the hot Cheetos burrito once and while the novelty sounds cool, I found it to be one of the worst things I've had at this truck. The hot Cheetos overpower everything else and takes away from the other tasty ingredients. If you're looking for a conveniently located taco truck for reasonable prices, you could do a lot worse than this. read more

Dropped by Tacos Limonense passing through town and I had the pleasure of enjoying carnitas and Al pastor tacos. The tortillas were perfectly heated with a nice crisp on the outside. The carnitas tacos were juicy and slightly crunchy on the outside. Although the picture on the truck showed the Al pastor on a vertical grill I don't think thats a fair representation and that perhaps their Al pastor just seasoned and chopped pork grilled on the flat top - kind of good but not really authentic. All in all, it's a good taco truck that should not be missed! read more

Great flavor! The truck is there 7 days a week from 10:30 am to 8 pm ish:) I had 2 veggie tacos, a veggie huarache and an aqua fresca (Jamaica) For the veggies they do rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, radish and tomatoes. They also will add crema but I leave that off. They all had a green sauce that had a little spice but it was delicious. They also gave me grilled onions on the side. Love that! The Jamaica was delicious as well. There is street parking and they put out some tables and chairs. They were also at a city park so more benches available. All came to $10.50. I found Tacos Limonense parked next to the Manteca Public Library. A cash only operation, it limited me from buying my usual array of dishes and thus making it harder to grade. I had a carnitas burrito. It was dense, loaded with meat, rice and beans. It had a little zing to it besides the cilantro. Perhaps I should've ordered the Supreme and gotten a little more (onions, crema, etc). So that leaves me at a personal score of 3.5 stars. I need to go back with a little more scratch and sample further. I can then award the extra half for a four star rating. read more

Parked daily on the corner of W. Center & Manteca Ave near the library. Love at first bite! The Hubbs found this taco truck and I saw sope's on the menu so I was in! Hubbs liked the food so much, he was back the next day at 11am for more shrimp taco's! The huaraches & sopes are thin and fried crispy then topped with the meat of your choice, lettuce, tomato, salsa, cheese and sour cream. Warning the salsa is spicy, they do offer a mild green salsa if you don't want to burn. Both the carne asada and al pastor had a good flavor and a great price at $4.50 for the huarache and $2.50 for the sope. Tacos are small street tacos at $2 each. Babes had a plain chicken taco that was loaded in meat. Cheap tasty bites, for the 3 of us, dinner came out to $18 & left $2 in the tip jar! read more

The best quesabirria I've ever had!! I got to enjoy an order at the Pumpkin Fair and immediately fell in love! The tacos are nicely crispy and don't get too soggy on the plate. The consommé was so so flavorful and not overly salty. I didn't think I'd finish an order of three but it was so hard to stop. I did get VERY full though, whoops. The food coma was very well worth it. The meat is perfectly good and have lots of flavor. Not too tough at all. I've already been back for my second visit in a week. What a treat! My friend enjoyed the asada fries as well and loved them so much they ordered them again during our second visit. Believe I just found my favorite tacos in Manteca! read more

Saw pics of the birria tacos so I had to go and try as it looked like they prepare them like El Azteca and the famous Birraiarria San Marco in Los Angeles.... Unfortunately I was wrong nothing like the picture.. plain tortilla not fried in birria oil like picture on there menu and the meat was just like a plain old roast nothing special no seasoning none of that chili and clove flavor you expect.... I'm iffy about this place, I come all the time the food was perfect when I first started going past month or two I've been getting tacos with mixed meat, some meat seems old some is fresh and is not tasting good. Attended a birthday party that had Tacos Limonense making the tacos. They have a mobile trailer well equipped to whip out some yummy tacos! I ate seven!!...shhhh. They were that good and authentic. The owners said they have been in the taco truck business for years and have been doing the mobile catering with the taco trailer for quite a while too. I tried this food for the first time when my coworkers brought tacos and burritos to work the other day from this food truck and they where so good, the carne asada and the spicy sauce were delicious. I went with my son yesterday , May 10,2020 around 2 pm because he wanted to try them since I told him how good it was. We got a carne asada burrito and a plain steak taco. Everything was good EXCEPT THE BEANS WERE SPOILED!! UNFORTUNATELY , I am awake now at 1:33 am writing this review because I cant sleep due to a very upset stomache ache and wanting to throw up ! . Food is made to order which is nice, but tacos are all premade items and took forever to get. About 30-40 minutes from the time ordered. The burritos were dry and overcooked ingredients. The meat was strange tasting as well and we ended up throwing away our food. read more

The customer service is great but the food is just ok. I have a problem with places that overload your burrito with rice and beans and pinch on the meat; need some protein and salsa to balance out the redundance of carbs. I've been here twice hoping the first time was just a fluke but it has happened both times. Unfortunate because I want to support the food truck movement in manteca. read more

I've driven past this taco truck several times and I'd always tell myself I have to stop and try it. Last Friday while driving back from Sacramento I finally had a chance to stop and test it out myself. First things first, parking is somewhat of a challenge since this taco truck shares a lot with a fairy busy bar, but the trouble isn't so much finding a parking spot as it is getting out as you have to back up onto a busy street. Parking aside I arrived and ordered 2 fish tacos and 1 taco de lengua and a bottle soda. All for five dollars, do note that the tacos appear slightly smaller than what i've see from most Mexican restaurants but they were delicious! The fish tacos were smothered in some kind of salsa or gravy, I couldn't tell what it was but they were delicious. The beef tongue was excellent, it had strong beef flavor and was cooked to a perfect consitency. Eating the tasty morsels of beef reminded me of eating a prime rib or a really good steak which brings up the point that beef tongue is an underrated part of the cow. So if you ever find yourself driving out to the central valley or driving back to Contra Costa County, they you MUST stop by Limonense (at the corner or W. Charter and S. Fresno Ave) read more

Well I'm from Stockton where there is a variety of taco trucks. Some very good ones. This taco truck is pretty good, good amount of meat, they don't put too much or too little rice. The salsa is hella good. Only thing is they should use a different cheese or at least make sure it melts, it would make a huge difference. I never knew we had a taco truck in Manteca, I'm happy i found it! Oh and their prices aren't outrageous like every other place in Manteca! read more

I love this place! It does depend on who is working the grill but I love my tortilla to have a little crunchiness to the outside of them and they have perfected it!! I only get their carne asada and it has a really great flavor especially with the green salsa! read more
