Giraffe Tree Service did an amazing job. The crew worked together with the efficiency of a finely tuned Nascar pit crew. Everyone had a job, and everyone executed their part. I had three huge oak trees needing extensive pruning. The team knew what they needed to do and executed the work according to their plan. The crew arrive early in the morning, and were done by sunset. The trees were trimmed, cuts sealed, branches ran through the chipping machine, and everything hauled away. The yard ,and street, were cleaned up leaving no signs of Caleb's team having been here. I now have plenty of light in the front yard allowing me to see the front yard . . and now that I can see the front yard, I am on Caleb's schedule for much needed landscaping. I'm hesitate using a service that doesn't have a web platform for reviews. Giraffe Tree Service has reviews which were all old, but good reviews. Despite being a very busy time for landscaping & tree service companies Caleb and his team responded right away. They were able to provide a quote within a day of me providing the necessary information and came back to complete the job within a week (They removed the broken branches, fixed the cuts on the trees, raised the canopy and trimmed trees away from the house). Caleb and his team did an outstanding job trimming our trees after the recent ice storm. His team pulled out the partially broken branches, trimmed everything back and made sure the large limbs did not hit the house, fence, etc. Then they came and hauled everything off and cleaned up the yard - looks great! The winter storm in Austin TX in Feb 2023 caused lots of tree damages. Tree companies were swamped, voice mail boxes full, no returns to device calls. Tree cutting price also skyrocketed. After a dozen calls, leaving voice mails, I was surprised that I was able to get connected to a live person 'Celeb', the owner of Giraffe Tree and Landscaping Services. Of course his quote was just as high everybody else. But when I called him back asking him to match one competitor's bid, he was very reasonable and accepted the request. I then decided to select Celeb's company based on two reasons: licensed and fully bonded (which is important for operating with chainsaw), and the way he described to me about cleaning and sealing the branches after cutting to help for regrowing (sounds more professional than some of the quotes of just cutting the beaches). One day before he was scheduled to do the job, I got a call from another company quoting me for 40% of his price, which made me hard not to investigate into the details. I texted Celeb explaining the situation and asked him to give me one week to look into that quote further. Celeb was very understandable and professional, he pulled me off the work list that night before the job start, without any complaints and upsetting. One week later, after investigating and making more calls into that bidding companies with no answers, I realized that company was either a fake or not trustworthy, I went back to Celeb giving him my verdict and asking him to put me back on the job list. He was very responsive and immediately put me to his next week queue. The workers came finished the work, they came again based on feedbacks and Celeb himself came out even the third time to make the job perfect! He is just so professional and customer centric! I was very glad that I picked him as my contractor. And at last, he pleasantly surprised me and gained my respect even more, when I made a mistake Zelle him $2500 more. He immediately acknowledged the extra payment and within minutes he zelled me back the the money. I was so thankful for having such a honest person as my contractor, as I was very scared the moment I made the mistake and worried if it would be hard or even if I can ever get it back! Again it proved important to do business with trust worthy company and company that is properly registered and doing long term local business. I am very happy with his work and the way they treat customers. I told Celeb that I would do all my future landscaping work with him! He has got a loyal customer here! read more

I wish I could leave ten stars! I needed two trees trimmed before I have my fence replaced so that the fence builders had some headroom. I sent out several yelp estimate requests. Caleb replied very quickly and offered to visit my house two days later to look at my trees. In the meantime I had received several estimates based solely on the picture I included with my estimate request. Two days later, Caleb not only sent me an estimate that was well below others I was getting, he said he was in my area and could get to it THAT day. The price could not be beat. I was at work, so I sent him the money online and told him to feel free to access my yard. When I got home, the trees looked great, but they were not totally what I had in mind. I sent a message to Caleb. He called me first thing the next morning and was so kind. He offered to send out his crew that morning. They came back and not only perfectly trimmed the two trees again, but ALSO gave another very large tree a nice trim at no charge. Wow. Talk about service AND ensuring you have repeat business. The crew members were very polite and left my yard so clean, you could barely tell there was any trimming going on. As long as I have trees, he will have my business. read more

We arrived home just after 5pm to find our irrigation system flooding our front yard. The only option was to turn off the water main to the house and call for help. Caleb responded to our 1st call, dispatched a crew and repairs were underway by 6pm. They quickly located the issue and capped the main so we would have water to our home until parts could be located in the morning. A crew returned in the morning, and all repairs completed promptly. They submitted a very fair quote, so we decided to engage in the work. Sprinklers and side area came out very well, so we offered more work to redo the rest of the backyard. They ended up doing 4+ zones, installing a smart sprinkler system, laying decomposed granite, composite borders around most of the backyard, mulch, moved several very large rocks, resetting a small rock area, redoing sod most of the backyard and installing a new 15' tree in the back. I have a small front yard which has been full of weeds and patches of dirt. Called Caleb and he gave me a quick estimate. Told him I wanted sod and a crushed Granite walkway and Caleb said "yes sure". I hired Giraffe after another local company and I got into an argument about billing. Giraffe seemed to have a lot of positive reviews. I gave them the list of all of the services the other company did. He came in about $50 cheaper so I thought I would give him a shot. The crew came out at the end of the day while my family was out, but I watched on my Ring cam what was happening. One employee smoked heavily near my front door and flicked ashes everywhere. Another raced around in a riding mower and someone was blowing stuff around with a leave blower. It felt like they were trying to be an Indy pit crew, however they were so focused on speed, they completely missed my backyard, didnt do any weeding or edging, basically they were there about 5-7 minutes and then they left after doing a bad job. I contacted Caleb to let him know that I was expecting better service and he told me he would have his crew come out again the next day to fix it. Once again, they showed up after we left and I watched what happened. And again, they raced around trying to get stuff done as fast as possible without actually hitting the requirements. And they were on the ground literally 5-7 minutes (and I have at least a 1/3rd of an acre). I finally decided that it wasnt going to work out and contacted Caleb to stop and that we were not happy. His answer was a glib "ok". No apologies or attempts to right it. He sent me a bill for $100 for mowing and premerge service. I told him there was no way his crew was here long enough to apply premerge. If you are looking for a landscaping service, pass this one and find someone else. read more
