I've lived in Lago Vista/Pt.Venture for close to 20 years now and have not found anyone as consistent, professional, and always fair-priced. I've heard of so many botched quotes, inadequate work, or just ripping off the elderly demographic in PV, which really burns my britches. Thanks for all you and your team do Jeff. Keep up the exceptional work! read more

I had Jeff clear the back of my lot and grade the whole area. Jeff did this work himself driving his front-end loader. He did an exceptional job and then hauled away all of the debris. I also had Jeff's tree service crew go over my entire property, removing dead or dying trees and trimming out dead branches from the rest of the trees. His crew was hard working, and Jeff was working right alongside his crew, monitoring their work and running the chain saw himself. The trees looked great, and they thoroughly cleaned up the area before they left. I highly recommend Jeff's company and services. He's a professional and a really nice guy. Give him a try - you'll be pleased with the results and the price. read more

I have been using them for the past 3 years and I will tell you this! They are the best fast friendly and they clean up the yard better than I do! They are reasonable and efficient and a bunch of hard working folks!! read more

what an AMAZING job they did for us. Our fixer upper is covered in Oak Trees. They spent all day working on our property and WOW. I will absolutely always use them for my trees. His crew was professional and cleaned up nicely after a full days work. Highly Recommend read more

I am very satisfied with the work Jeff's just did for me. I originally had a quote for a larger job but ended up doing a lot of work myself. When I asked Jeff's to re-quote based on the new scope of work, they agreed to a price that was more than fair. I needed the work done in a matter of days so I could have another job done and they came through for me - completing it all in about 5 hours. My only complaint and word of advice/caution for those having work done, is that they did not cover my Air Conditioning units, so debris ended up inside the air handlers that I'd rather not have had there. All in all I am happy with Jeff's and recommend them. Thanks read more

Jeff and Debbie are great to work with. I called and Jeff came out right away to work with me to understand the tree trimming and clearing that was needed on my property. After walking through he offered a fair rate. When they came out the results were exactly what I was hoping for. They even cleaned up after themselves. I am very satisfied with the work his team accomplished and would recommend that anyone thinking about having their trees trimmed to get a bid from Jeff. I held off for a couple years fearing the cost and now only wish I had called sooner. read more

Spoke to the absolute rudest woman on the phone this morning. She spoke over me, interrupted me and acted condescending the entire call until she basically hung up on me. Service training definitely required for that one. . . Not a good ambassador/representative for your business. read more

Watching Jeff and his crew work was like watching artists. They crafted and crafted, and created something beautiful out of overgrown trees at our home in Lakeway. Once they were done, the cleaned up everything perfectly. Bonus: Jeff's sweet dog supervised! read more

Jeff and his team work like a finely tuned machine. You guys are magicians. Thank you so much for a job well done!!!

Called twice and left voicemails but never received a call back. We also stopped by during business hours but no one was there. Guess they don't need anymore business!! read more

Jeff, the owner, just left my property in Lago Vista. My first question was, "Are you an arborist". He is not; his qualifications were that he has been climbing trees since he was a boy and that he inherited the business from his Dad. He said, "I don't have to be an arborist to trim trees." So we started talking about the Ball Moss that's in my oak tree (my tree that my neighbor wants me to trim) and he said, "It's killing your tree." This is factually wrong as I pointed out. He insisted in the rudest way imaginable. I ran him off - will not pay him a dime. What's more, this is not my first time with Jeff - he came to my house once before, years ago, and was just as rude then. Oaks are especially susceptible to oak-wilt virus - which WILL kill your tree. As other posters have noted he and/or his crew are rather indifferent to proper protocols for disinfecting tools or sealing fresh cuts. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HIM LESS. read more

Do NOT hire this guy!!! He is very personable and friendly, and gains your trust immediately. However, after he finished the job that we had agreed upon, and the estimate clearly stated, and I quote, "clear cedar branches off the side of the house", he cut down an entire tree! When I tried to discuss it with him, he responded with the comment "Look lady, I already did the job and I gave you a really good deal. I can't even believe you would call me about it". Since it was a tree that created a lot of shade for my house, I will now be paying a much higher electric bill! Stay far away from Jeff's Tree Service!!! read more

SHOWED UP DRUNK AND LATE FOR QUOTE. WOULD NOT HONOR INSURANCE. We called Jeff and requested a quote for 3 dangerous trees that were overhanging our roof. Our appointment was originally for 4:00, but he did not even call until 4:30, when he said he would be late and arrive at 5:00pm. He called again and said he couldn't make it until 7:00, after dark to look at our trees. When he finally arrived he reeked of alcohol and was obviously intoxicated. In addition, he told us that unless we spent a minimum of $500 he would not guarantee his work or honor his insurance policy. The whole reason we called a professional was to obtain insurance since our trees were so close to the house. So he tried to bully us into spending more if we wanted his guarantee and insurance. Worst of all however, is that he was SOOOO DRUNK he actually forgot he had done our estimate. Jeff called my husband the next morning to see if he had an estimate scheduled with us, or if he had schedule the job. He could NOT even remember coming to our house. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR TREES OR A CHAINSAW. read more

We called Jeff to give a quote to prune and cut down about a dozen or so tree's. Jeff took my call, drove by my place and gave me a quote all in the same day. I had him meet me and my wife to go over details and he was very helpful and professional. We scheduled him for the following week amd he and his crew arrived on time and like he promised completed the job in one day, and what an amazing job they did. read more

Jeff was very nice and extremely professional. He did exactly what he said he would do and showed up on time to do our tree trimming. I would highly recommend his company to anyone. Jeff and his crew did a super job. Cleaned out a lot of cedar and trimmed our live oaks. Will recommend to others in Lago.

Wouldn't return phone calls. Didn't show up for first app rescheduled and then didn't show call or answer his phone. Wanted to use a local but this is very unprofessional. read more

Jeff and his team did a great job with our yard, it was hardly recognizable. Very reasonable prices and super nice!! Can't go wrong!

Our experience was completely different. A neighbor had a good experience and recommended them. Jeff was on time for the estimate and service, and his crew was great. They worked hard the whole time they were here and did a very thorough job with tree trimming and clearing out debris from our hillside. We feel we got real value for what we spent. It was much less expensive than my niece in Austin has paid for tree service. I've already recommended Jeff's to other neighbors, read more

This company was working in my neighborhood which is in a known oak wilt site. The crew was not following protocol for pruning oak trees. The crew was informed that the City did not recomend cutting oak trees at this time of year. When the crew was asked kindly to be sure to disinfect their equipment and prune paint the oaks they spitefully began cutting more oak trees and told us this is how we cut oaks. When calling their office for help it was found that Jeff was more unprofessional and rude than his workers. This company is not professional and obviously hire day laborers to do their work. They are not certified arborist and should not be allowed to cut valuable trees. The city contacted them and advised them that they would not be allowed to work in the Village of Point Venture if they continued to treat the residents with disrespect and didn't follow oak wilt pruning protocols. I would think twice before hiring this company. read more

his service did a good job, only problem, no city permit to clear the land. the property owner failed to get a permit, jeff's service did not check on this issue. now the property owner, may not build on lot, and the new eyesore on our street is distasteful as it overlooks the valley/lake area! unhappy neighbor in lago vista!!! read more
