Another place only takes phone calls and you may or may not speak a polite representative. 2. They deliver and stack the wood! That other place doesn't deliver. You have to go get the firewood or arrange delivery with someone else. 3. You get email confirmation with your expected delivery date. Yeah, that other place did none of that. 4. I got to provide delivery instructions during the sale, explaining which gate to enter and exactly where I wanted the wood. 5. I got text updates! On my delivery day, I got texts saying when to expect delivery. 6. They arrived when they said they would!!! Don't count on that with the other guys. 7. The delivery guy was not only polite but he was dressed well and appeared clean. I only mention the cleanliness thing as the others would smell, be unshaven and slovenly dressed. 8. Stacked neatly! The caulk pulled up in spots after the first time after a few days- we'd only let it dry for 24 hours, so maybe that was partially the cause. Steve courteously came out to redo it, this time we let it dry with a fan blowing in the room for extra air movement for 48 full hours at his suggestion- it started peeling again within a couple weeks. Steve did offer to come do it again but I didn't really feel like trying a third time on a job that I was under the impression should be very simple. He offered some great prices on other work I needed done but frankly I don't really want to try more complicated work after this experience.. I think I'll just do it myself if I'm going to pay to have it not done right.

Very disappointed with the customer service from this landscaping supplier. We spoke with them…read moredirectly regarding missing materials that were never provided with our order, and they stated they could not offer any reimbursement or resolution for the inconvenience. On top of that, they expected us to drive back to the original location for the missing materials, even though our job site was over an hour away. We politely asked if we could pick up the materials at a different location closer to the project, but they refused and offered absolutely no compromise or assistance. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and terrible customer service overall. As contractors, we rely on suppliers to be dependable and willing to work with customers when issues happen. Unfortunately, that was not the experience here.

I reached out to 5 different companies around the Temple/Belton area and only got responses from 2 companies. One was J R Ash Tree Company. They drove by and called me with an estimate, and I was blown away; they were 60% cheaper than the other quote I got!!! I was a little nervous thinking "you get what you pay for", but he said he could even come by that same day (a Saturday) and do the job. I was thrilled! The *one* thing that made me worried was he said he's be there between 3-4PM, and by 4PM, I had to call him because he wasn't there yet. He said he was still coming; he had some things to take care of. I'm not taking a star away though because 1) It was a Saturday, 2) he still showed up and got the job done, and 3) he provided services the same day he gave me a quote. I saw him pull up with his truck and trailer and went out to meet him; he was already ready to start trimming! I asked him to first tell me what he was going to do and I told him what I wanted out of the project. He was patient and knowledgeable, so I felt better that maybe his price was just a REALLY great deal! Turns out, that was EXACTLY the case! The trees turned out beautiful; shaped well, thinned, yet retained their value! Even my mom - who is a very particular and critical person - said how great they did and wished they would have done her trees! James and his partner cleaned up the branches, blew everything off, and were done so quickly! They even put up with our nosy neighbor "supervising" the whole ordeal. I will definitely use them again. They've been doing this a long time, and it shows with how great their work turns out! Highly recommend!
