The crew stacked the wood perfectly and blew off the driveway of debris, and cleaned up well! They even closed the gate!! read more

Dwayne Dougherty Firewood - Half cord delivered well!!' - Firewood Near Me - Austin, Texas

Super helpful recommending type/amount of firewood and they load it into your car. Very kind staff!

Lots of good wood. for smoking or firewood. A little expensive, but good quality wood.

Great pricing. Super helpful! Really good wood! Would recommend. With all the odd weather in Austin and ice storms, always good to be prepared! read more

I've bought logs for a few years from this family run business. I love how helpful & friendly they are. They load the firewood into your car/truck/trailer. The logs are all well seasoned and burn nice and slow. I don't live nearby anymore but it's worth driving a bit further to get good firewood. NoTE - it's cash or check only! read more

Dwayne Dougherty Firewood - Firewood Near Me - Austin, Texas

Great business. We are new to Bee Cave and this is going to be our go to place for stocking up on firewood for the winter. They were timely and gave us a good price. I think they even gave us a little extra wood than what we paid for. read more

Dougherty's is the best. Just pull in and ask for a 1/4, 1/2, or whole stack, and they load it for you. Great prices too!

I have been buying fireplace wood from the Dougherty wood yard since 1999 (24 years). I think they are an Austin treasure. I hope they are able to be around another 24 years. Their wood if fairly priced and it is top quality. read more

Perfect choice in the urban area for firewood. I was buying mesquite for bbq, and they had super seasoned dry wood. Mrs. Dougherty will come load it. Do t let her do it alone, you lazy SOB. Bring your gloves and help. Fairly priced and you can buy it by the fraction of a cord. read more

I love getting my firewood here. People are friendly, honest and helpful. The prices are great.

Good price, good people. The rest of this review s just to fill space. Blah blah. Blah blah

They are one of the only places that carry bulk piñon wood. We bought two big bags. Easy transaction. They only take cash. Only drawback was all of the staff were wearing some type of Trump gear. ‍ But they were very nice and helpful. read more

Overall the people are super friendly and have always treated me well. They help you load the wood and do so with a smile. This last time however I got very green wood when I asked for seasoned post oak - had a very noxious smell when standing over the BBQ pit and burned my eyes tremendously. I will probably use them again as I have had limited success in finding wood in the area but this time was disappointing compared to the first couple of times I used them read more

I came in for BBQ firewood (for my new smoker) a few months ago, and the woman that worked there was very kind and helpful. I plan to go in again today for some firewood for my fireplace. They have lots of different kinds of wood, in tons of different piles, and it's all reasonably priced. I just drive a Prius so I just got enough to fill my trunk, but for me that's enough! read more

Yep lots of wood to choose from. Just be careful where you park the old lady particular about it. She acted like I rolled over her roses

Was able to get a full cord of wood for $400 that was split and delivered and stacked... Will definitely buy from him again

This is by far the best place I've ever gotten firewood. They have tons of good dried oak not to mention hickory, mesquite and pecan. It works out to be about $1 per piece for oak for a quarter cord. That's all that would fit in the trunk of my car. I'm sure it gets cheaper the more you buy. The same nice lady that came out to meet me last year met me again this year. You will not be disappointed. John read more

Happened to find this place on google. We needed just a small amount of firewood for our camping trip this weekend! They gave us the perfect amount! The staff were friendly, helpful, kind, and helped us load it into our Jeep. Will definitely be coming back for winter firewood! read more

Be advised, they have their own definition of a cord of wood that favors the seller. As we all know (and state law mandates): A full cord is stacked 4' high, 4' wide and 8' long. A half cord is stacked 4' high, 2' wide and 8' long. At Dougherty's: A half cord is stacked 4' high, 16" wide and 8' long. So you get 25% less. read more

Firewood is dried for several months. No green stuff here. Staff is genuine & helpful. Been going here for years and that won't stop. read more

Firewood is fine and the purchasing and loading process is good and easy. However, this is one of those places where some folks may choose to patronize or not patronize for other reasons - I won't purchase there again. The owners are active Donald Trump supporters and I'm choosing not to financially support businesses that support him. C'mon good people of Austin, put your money where your beliefs are. read more

Down to earth folks. Fair price. Patriots. Family run. A bit of Texas grumpy thrown in for free!

Very nice folks own/run this little firewood yard. I wish they would sell wood based on the normally accepted terms. I purchased 4' x 4' x 1.5'. This was sold as 1/4 cord. It isn't!!!!! Firewood is a fuel. Oil is sold by the barrel, electricity by the kilowatt...wood by the cord. Would you give 5 stars to the gas station if they sold you 96 ounces as a gallon? It gives you a great economic advantage to sell wood as a cord when it really isn't. read more

Been a long time customer of Dwayne Dougherty Firewood. It doesn't matter what time of year it is they have what I need. Everyone is very helpful and courteous. Would not and will not buy from anywhere else. read more

This place has a good selection of firewood: oak, mesquite and even pinon. I've found it worth the drive to Oak Hill. I generally only buy a bag or two of the pinon wood - it's always been reasonably priced and is good, dry wood for my fireplace. I understand that the price for a cord of wood, delivered, is a bit pricey but these guys seems to have the quality. The old man (Dwayne?) is a man of few words - but his wife is nice and very helpful. read more

This is the place to go for firewood in southwest Austin. Dwayne and the boys are helpful and kind.

Just picked up 1/4 cord of oak. The lady there helped me load the truck and even threw about 10 pieces of mesquite in for free. She was very personable and chatted the entire (short) time I was there. Convenient to my location in South Austin. $20-40 less for the amount of wood that I got. I will buy from them again.. Yes, the length of the wood is 18-20 inches, but if you don't have a custom built fireplace, anything bigger will not fit. In fact, everything that I saw on the internet and craigslist was 16-18 inches long, but a few said that they would cut it longer if you wanted. read more

Friendly folks who will fix you up with some good firewood in whatever amount you need. They helped load the truck and I was on my way. I got oak for the fireplace, but they also have mesquite, pecan and piñon for your bbq and fire pit. Will definitely be back next time I need wood. read more

We heard about how great this place is from our neighbors and they were right! We just needed a small amount of wood to burn in our fireplace on those random chilly evenings. The people here couldn't have been friendlier - and they loaded our car for us, too! Great selection of wood - we'll definitely be back! read more

New to Austin and camping in the area. Great place to pick up firewood for a great price! Good dry wood, no green stuff, and it burns slow and hot. Staff was beyond helpful and courteous! I will be coming back and referring everyone to Dwayne's business. read more
