6:15 pm on a Friday night!! Running out of ice and offering no real help !! I know ppl that left because of it !! Since the remodel the quality of food and customer service has went to Zero!! No desserts, salad bar was poorly maintained!! Overall not a good experience!! Not just this time but the past few times!! No excuses for running out of drinks ( tea, ice,salad dressing) you have 3 stores within 3 minutes of your location!! Do better!! Your staff seems to be focused on doing nothing !! We were there 3-4-25 for about 45 mins. There was never any vegetation pizzas brought out!! Not even a cheese pizza my wife does not eat meat so my money for the buffet was wasted!! She ate spaghetti but why would any pizza buffet not have 1-2 veggies pizza? I just can't recommend this place, based on my experience at the buffet. I can not speak for take out pizza but I recommend skipping the buffet. We came in for dinner on a weekday because we had gotten a coupon in the mail and pizza sounded good. When we got there, the salad bar was seriously lacking lettuce and even when fresh was brought out it was not exactly fresh. The toppings also looked like they'd been sitting out for a long time. As for the pizza, it was very average. About what you would expect at a buffet. I am from Ashland, where it all began, so the bar is high for me. I've been to this Giovanni's before, but they have a new gym and I can tell. The pizza on the buffet was varied, the salad bar was fresh, and pizzas were rotated before they got old. The crust even tasted fresh and soft on the inside, crispy and perfect on the outside. Let me start by saying this is not gourmet or wood fired pizza. This is old school local pizzeria. That being said they do have decent pizza for their market. They have a daily pizza/salad buffet which is very affordable. The salad bar has a good variety and they even put out pasta/sauce, cheese covered potato slices, and baked potatoes. It's relatively inexpensive if you're looking for a cheaper non-authentic Italian experience. Called for delivery and the manager was hateful and rude to me and my family. Told us they didn't deliver where we were AFTER they delivered here twice before. Told me I was at a trashy place and would not deliver to me THEN hung up on me. I am reporting this to the BBB as well as the general manager, I have NEVER in my life been treated this way by anyone. Our first (and probably only) visit consisted of us eating at the buffet. We went up to the counter when we got in and were told to go ahead into the buffet area. (It was obvious we had never been there before.) The salad topping selections were low and never refilled while we were there and their other salads were gone and never refilled either. The pasta was water logged, but their meat sauce was good! The pizza selection was very limited and no meatless options ever seen on the buffet while we were there. (I don't like meat on my pizzas.)
