Husband and I coming back home from Florida on I -75 SB, got off Richmond, KY exit to eat dinner. This was on a Friday, 6:30, prime dinner hour, crazy busy. Walked in and it was pandemonium, full of hungry teenagers. I used the restroom, not very pleasant, no toilet paper, hand dryers jammed up, oh dear! Good thing I had Kleenex in my purse. Husband had ordered for us, pop dispenser empty for the choice we wanted. Nice young man behind us said go ask one of the employees behind the counter to give you your drinks from the drive through soda dispenser. We asked and he was kind enough to do it. Waited10 min and they called our name. Sat down in a clean booth. We both got Original Chicken Sandwich combo, they were hot and very tasty, worth the wait, prices were reasonable. Sometimes you have to say to yourself, employees were doing the best they could considering all those hyper teenagers just having fun, we were young once, they were not doing anything wrong. I ordered a GRILLED chicken salad with extra tomato and extra cucumber. No fried onions. The salad I got was breaded chicken, the tomatoes were slimy and the salad had toast in it. I was very disappointed and will not be ordering from them ever again. read more

Okay, I'll be slightly exaggerating before you read any further. Zaxby's quite literally tore up my stomach, I threw most of it up but the rest that ACTUALLY got digested was hell. Not to mention the way in came to me, the sauce was everywhere but in one of the containers. The people were sweet, but their food was atrocious. My wife and I love it. The salads are great and the chicken is too. Service is quick and the food is fresh. The restrooms are spotless.

Food tasted fine. Typically for fast food exactly what's expected. The "go big" is a sham. My wife ordered it with her meal and I didn't with mine.... She was given 20 fries vs my 30. More like go small. Good atmosphere and pretty clean. read more

I felt I was always getting a decent salad at zaxbys but tonite I was disappointed. When I got all the way home I saw my salad was skimpy. For $10.99 it's usually a fairly nice sized salad. I almost took it back. But I was too hungry and live a bit too far away. So another restaurant getting cheap on their customers to save a buck? Seems like it. After a few days of backpacking it was time to indulge in some non-dehydrated food and one of my backpacking buddies suggested that Zaxby's was better than Raising Cane's chicken fingers. I ordered a four piece finger plate buffalo style with Tongue Torch temperature sauce, ranch dip, fries, and a sweet tea. Without the buffalo sauce I'd estimate their chicken fingers were as good as Raising Cane's, but once dipped in the sauce they were transformed into awesomeness. The crinkle fries were fresh and a combination of crispy/squishy, which I like so all was good. The sweet tea was fresh and refreshing. So why didn't I rate this restaurant four or five stars? The bathroom smelled like it had been inadequately cleaned for a long period of time and I'll save you from describing the urinal. Remember that saying about eating at restaurants with dirty bathrooms? Unfortunately I didn't visit the restroom until after I finished my food. Yikes! read more

Fast food has a maximum 4 stars for me. So this place is as good as it gets. Young kids behind the counter are polite and I asked for well done fries with extra seasoning and I got what I asked for. Chicken and fries both too hot to eat which is what I expect. I very very rarely eat fast food but Zaxby's is the exception, I wish I had one in Cincinnati. Good sweet tea too! read more

The food was up to par with how Zaxbys normally is, however I waited a solid 20 minutes in the drive thru line with only 3 cars ahead of me. For "fast food" this is extremely slow. Never having been here, I'll be honest, ordering was a hot mess. We didn't really understand how the process worked here, especially in regards to the sauce. Here's the thing: I want to try a LOT of flavors. If you know what sauce you would want on your wings, they will plan to toss them for you and it would be perfect. The trick is, if you want to have different sauces to try on plain wings (me), the extras are 25 cents apiece. Dad finally settled on 10 pieces of boneless wings in a sweet and spicy sauce (which we both felt was sweeter and not that spicy), where as I asked for a 5 piece boneless wing meal with only sauces on the side. I asked for "wimpy" (which, for the record wasn't fun because who wants to be wimpy??! especially when it comes up tasting spicier than the sweet and spicy sauce your dad just ordered!), the "house" sauce (which the waitress said she had never tried; I tried it and haven't settled on how to describe it but if you work somewhere I recommend knowing what your signature sauce tastes like...now I would say kind of a bbq/ranch combo?) and a BBQ (my favorite of the bunch.) My plate came with Texas toast...not really sure what made it Texan but it took out some of the heat of my wimpy sauce so I was glad for it. There are lightly seasoned fries (but no ketchup to be found) and then celery & ranch. I may have been most excited about the coca cola machine. I'd like to have the chance to try some sides but I am not sure I'd make a special trip for it. It helps to know what the plan is for the menu. Came in today for lunch (take-out) about 12:30 or so. It was understandably busy and the drive through was backed up, so I parked and went in. There was no one at the counter in front of me ordering and no one acknowledged I was there. When the cashier finally came to the register to take my order, she was continuously looking around the restaurant and at people coming in and out, and she didn't really pay attention to me. I told her first that the order was to go. She asked what I wanted and when I told her, she then asked me if it was 'for here or to go' so I repeated that it was to-go. I got the Zaxby's Club meal and an order of mushrooms. Service was surprisingly quick for how busy they were. Unfortunately I had another surprise in that, with the exception of the mushrooms, all of the food was cold. The fries were even a bit stale. I've eaten here before and it is normally better. My boyfriend and I went through the drive thru last night, and I ordered the nibblers mixed in buffalo sauce, with ranch on the side. I said ranch on the side so many times it was embarrassing. my boyfriend ordered the wings and fingers with zaxby's sauce. i paid 18 dollars for our food, and my nibblers were NOT buffaloed, NOR was there ranch for me to dip them in. my boyfriend didn't get any sauces either. this may sound like a little petty thing, but if im paying 18 dollars for two little meals, they should be damn correct. it is NOT HARD. read more

Zaxby's fries with extra seasoning has been my pregnancy craving. I love it. Unfortunately where I order extra seasoning the fries need to be made fresh otherwise it's just dumping seasoning on Luke warm fries and they end up over seasoned or the seasoning piles up in the plate. Today I ordered and requested fresh fries just to end up with Luke warm fries that some were over seasoned and a ton of seasoning in the plate. This happened because the girl ignored my request and didn't let the kitchen know. When you pay almost $5 for a fry and drink asking for fresh fries shouldn't be a problem.
