I just received a milkshake that is what I can only describe as genuinely FOUL. You are absolutely out of your mind if you think it is acceptable to serve this to a PAYING CUSTOMER. I was in a hurry (with a time crunch) & got a double Smashed Burger that was made wrong according to their picture of what it should be. Asked for manager. A "manager" came to car and agreed with me and confirmed what I wanted on the replacement...then took the order part from top of carton on burger. THEN, a few minutes later, the same person comes out and says she can't as the manager said she couldn't. At that point I am thinking EXCUSE ME?? YOU SHOULD BE THE MANAGER AS THAT IS WHO I ASKED TO TALK TO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I said never mind (being in a hurry) just get me a receipt please. My husband and I just moved to Richmond and we are trying the restaurants around town to see which ones we are going to like visiting. We will NEVER go back to this Sonic again. I love sonic. Actually it was my first restaurant job. I recently moved to the area for work from Nashville. I too work in the industry. I'm the GM of a restaurant here. This is the worst sonic I've ever been to. I have tried it 4-5 times since I moved here and am disappointed each time. I'm not sure what's going on here. The silverware is constantly broken. The straws always have holes in them. The lids to the cups have huge holes on one side. The food taste like it's been hanging out in the kitchen with the cooks all day. Overall just not good. The blast I had tonight was great. So good for them there. I love the drinks. Only reason I'll go back. Definitely won't be for the food. read more

I'm a regular at this place. It's close to my work and convenient for a quick bite for lunch. However the quality over the past year has gone down down down. If it wasn't for happy hour half price soda I'd say I'm never going back. What was served to today as food was disgusting and not edible. I spot it out the window. It was a a jr. breakfast burrito, the wrap was like cardboard and it was heated ‍. Cold egg - cheese not melted. Disgusting! I love Sonic but was so disappointed with my latest visit. While the food was good (as always) the customer service was absolutely awful! I usually only write reviews for places that I find outstanding, but I have never been treated so poorly and had to share. The young lady at the drive thru was snippy, rude, and even slammed the window shut while I was speaking to her. As someone who works in customer service, I try to be understanding and recognize that people can have bad days, but this was uncalled for and frankly, unacceptable. My milkshake wasn't mixed all the way and was sour, and they let me switch it for a different kind. The were super sweet the whole time, and very understanding. I was very satisfied with the customer service. I talked to Crystal and she was sweet, and so was Helen! read more

As someone who has witnessed working there and as a regular customer I must say the food, great, the service?? Ehh the management is insane. The owner will interrupt you taking orders, to correct you instead of paying full attention to the customers. The customer pulls up to my window but I can't greet them, I have my boss in my shoulder telling me I'm doing everything wrong rather than boost you up and assist you. I am not the first to quit due to awful management, I have had CUSTOMERS ask me how I deal with my boss there! That's BAD business. I recommend their food but if you do go to work there, make sure you have serious tough skin and enjoy being put down by Charlie and Glenda. read more

Sonic is the worst place to get your food. Order 4 of their cheese burger as you know they come with lettuce, tomato,onions & pickles then you choose ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard. Received all the burger plain with nothing on it. I live 20 minutes away from place so that 40 min round trip not counting wait time they offer me a free 40 oz drink for my inconvenience not replacement or money back when asked to talk to suppper visor was hung up on. call back was told going to be sent a coup for my 22.09 payment in my email that was 3 weeks ago still no response just out the money will never get food their again oh if you try to call the place it goes straight to voicemail saying it not been set up yet read more

My boyfriend just recently started working there. He didn't mind it at first, but kept telling me that the owner's wife was rude and disrespectful! I, personally, don't know how he can still work there! She told him at first that she wants everything done a specific way, saying it was the "Sonic way". But what it really comes down to is she has OCD and she wants everything in a specific order. She screams at the workers when they do something wrong, like put a ketchup bottle in the wrong place! Also, the owner and his wife, Charlie and Glenna, fight in front of the employees and bring my boyfriend into it! They both are telling him to do different things at the same time, and both expect him to do their task first. Their whole lives are based on that Sonic. they think that just because their lives are there, means all their employee's lives should be there. My boyfriend works 12+ hour shifts there. It's been getting to a point where he has an hour from the time he gets off, to the time he goes to bed, so he can get the proper amount of sleep before work. Then he wakes up, and goes directly to work! We have no lives now! My boyfriend has been telling them for WEEKS that my sister is getting married on the 18th. He requested it off numerous times, with no luck. Glenna even told him that if it was a wedding of a friend, he will not go! Who the hell is she, to tell him he can't go anywhere? Well now it is to a point that I want him to quit because I get so angry when he talks about work. He doesn't get to go to my sister's wedding, they get yelled at for stupid things, and they have unbelievable hours. He is currently applying elsewhere, and after he quits, we will no longer be eating there. We will also be passing this on to our friends and family. read more
