Food was so delicious! Husband and I came out for dinner. Calamari was great! Drinks and food were great! Highly recommend!

Brought my family to her for my husbands 50th bday. Walking in it was inviting and staff said hello and other was we walked to our table Had sharing plates of mussels, caprese salad, spinach salad along with seared tuna salad. All was really good and fresh. Main courses were eggplant Parmesan, bolognese, spicy sausage rigatoni and I had the redfish and recommend all of them. Wish I took better photos. Oh a crème brûlée was wonderful. A nice fine dinning place to visit for sure! Can also split dishes if you have an app and suggest that. read more

Every thing was great!!!!! Service was great! Food was amazing! Go check them out you won't be disappointed

ATMOSPHERE - 3 A wonderful upscale decor and atmosphere. This place is a nice little addition to the Harbor area. FACILITY - 4 The facility is part of the Harbor complexes. This in itself gives you a lead on any competition. INSIDE - 4 The interior was clean. The patio, interior are an addition to the facility. The menu options, and flavor are very favorable. I had heard that it was a great place for a quiet meal and yes, when we arrived, it was quiet as far as people were concerned, but the music as mentioned was unbearable, but once the crowd started arriving, the noise level picked up quite a bit. It might have been just enough to say no to our wedding arrangements. OUTSIDE - 4 Didn't sit outside but there were people that looked like they were enjoying themselves. SERVICE - 4 Service was good and the staff seemed to be in a good mood. FOOD - 3 Our search is on for a place to have our family for dinner just prior to our daughter's wedding. We started with the Charcuterie board. For the price of $15, we received 3 pieces of bread, which was just one per person, that costs $2. The meat and cheese was very stingy. Pictures of other customers showed much more in quantity and variety. I ordered the blue crab stuffed shrimp, it came with a creamy risotto topped with roasted peppers and shaved asparagus. Technically the shrimp was not stuffed but just laying on the risotto. It was delicious, I just wish the shrimp would already come without the shell on the tail. But to only have 3 shrimp for the price seemed a little minimalistic. Before we started, our waiter offered to top our food with grated parmesan. It helped bring a little more to my wife's dish so I appreciate that. She had the gnocchi. I was surprised at the taste. Good. The prosciutto was sub-standard. My daughter had the salmon. The salmon was cooked well. The mashed potatoes were good but they were advertised as Garlic mashed and they were a little bland. The brusell sprouts were "meh" subpar at best. They were too big, so not as tender as the baby or smaller ones. They were kinda dry. We did not receive any fresh bread and olive oil and balsamic to try for free either. Why STAFF - 4 Service was fast and friendly. SUMMARY Overall a good experience. The decor, lighting, and service were really nice. The music was extremely loud and we had to ask that it be turned down. I just couldn't hear the communication at the table and felt bad by asking if we could yell the conversation. It's on the pricier end and seems a bit of a shame that I really don't think this restaurant is a top notch place. I feel bad that just across the way people are and were waiting 200 yards out the door to get in. Would i return? Most likely not. ==== Atmosphere: 3 // Facility: 4 // Inside: 4 // Outside: 4 // Service: 4 // Food: 3 // Staff: 4 // Price: 3 read more

Pretty place in the harbor, no harbor view though. Came in on a Saturday between lunch / dinner so we were seated right away. We shared the charcuterie board. I was surprised the meat to cheese to bread to fruit ratios were off and that the pears were canned. It was tasty but for the price/quantity I make better. My gnocchi was good, the sauce was flavorful, the gnocchi were soft pillows of goodness, in my opinion the prosciutto was subpar and would have added flavor and texture if fried crisp. My husband liked his shrimp, but three for $24 was steep. No bread served with dinner...daughters salmon was well cooked, she enjoyed most of the dish, although the brussel sprouts were still hard and kinda dry. I'm glad we went but the prices will probably keep us away. read more

Love the service here, on Tuesday the manager Sean made everything seamless. Definitely going back soon.

I absolutely love this place. It is my first stop when I am in town. The spicy sausage pasta is amazing and I also love the charcuterie board they have during the day. The bartenders Melissa and Kate are fantastic. Very Friendly and they make great drinks. My friends and I sat on the patio and had Brooke as a server. She was wonderful, attentive and quick. There is a gentlemen name Sean -who is the manager. Very funny guy and you can tell he loves his job. Can't wait to go back. read more

Giovanni's is the best Italian restaurant in rockwall. The service the is truly the best I've seen in the restaurant business. Giovanni's is in the most perfect spot in rockwall to where if you sat on the patio you can view the lake and watch the sunset. The food there is amazing I highly recommend trying their lobster bisque, and chicken slider appetizers. The pasta here is incredible and their tiramisu is the best I've ever had. Highly recommend if your looking for a delicious Italian place in rockwall. read more

I'm a big foody and I have a huge love for Italian food.My 2nd visit at Giovanni's. The first time I went was last year while covid was going on. I recently just went again and I had the Calamari and the Charcuterie for an appetizer and the sangrias are my favorite. Also I had for dinner the Blue crab Risotto, so creamy and so tasty. For cocktails, I had the Strawberry Mojito. It was refreshing, just not as strong as I would've liked, didn't really taste the liquor. Highly recommend these dishes. Will be going soon to try Brunch on the weekend and I'm excited. read more

Giovanni is probably my favorite restaurant in Rockwall. Our faves are: sliced rib eye sando, carpaccio, stuffed shrimp and lasagne. The cocktail menu is excellent, changes frequently and is always interesting. The wine list has a great variety. The wait staff is way above average. Desserts are amazing too. I've never had a mediocre meal here in the 4+ years we've been eating here. read more

I've been to Rockwall so many times over the years, however I've never come to Giovannis until today when I got together with a few friends at the harbor. This food is INCREDIBLE. I got the pappardelle bolognase and my friend got the pea and mushroom tortellini, we split the spinach salad (incredible pomegranate dressing). Everything was out of this world. The food delicious and has tons of flavor, and the staff was super nice. Shame there isn't as many people at this restaurant as there is at other spots on the harbor, the food is well worth the price and is delicious. read more

Ate here for lunch and will be going back again in a couple of days. Atmosphere is upscale, trendy and comfortable. Wait staff was courteous and attentive and the owner walked the floor to meet everyone. I had the Caesar salad and gnocchi w/prosciutto and tomato cream sauce. Salad was good, lettuce and plate were chilled, dressing was good and the portion was large. It had fresh shaved cheese and some of the best polenta croutons. The gnocchi tasted freshly made the prosciutto added a nice touch of saltiness to counter the richness of the tomato cream sauce. Gnocchi was also accompanied by toast for dipping and a nice drizzle of sweet balsamic. Will definitely be returning to try some of their fish and steak dishes. Best Italian food in Dallas! Seriously. Delicious seafood, pasta, chicken, beef. Frito Misto appetizer is great. Eggplant dish is a favorite. Ciappino is a great dish pappardelle with bolognese is my husband's favorite. Desserts are great too. Service is a very good and nice atmosphere. read more

Basic Italian food. I went with my family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was following the spacial distancing for COVID. Staff wear all wearing mask, with hand sanitizer presented at the hostess stand. I had the seafood ravioli. The crab meat on top had a lot of shells and tasted as if it came from a can. I can't say it was the best I've ever had. I will say the Italian Margarita was strong and delicious. The food was okay, can't say I would go back. read more

the service is good but the servers RARELY use clean serving tactics. I saw a server rub his nose before putting drinks on his tray...that made me eyeball my server to see if she was courteous enough to practice safe food handling also, don't bother telling management as they don't care and won't enforce safe food handling practices read more

Great food at a reasonable price and kind staff. I have been here on multiple occasions, and it has become part of our regular rotation. I'm always surprised by the prices. It's not cheap, but the food is very high quality for the money compared to similar restaurants. The staff is very kind and is nice to my dog when we sit on the patio. Great local spot by the lake. Good wine and excellent salmon! Wow! I am impressed. The service was great too.

Food, service, and the environment were great. I had the Chilean sea bass special and it was delicious.

We have been here twice but it's unlikely that we will be back as we did not have good experiences. The first time, we ordered the crab appetizer which was good, the scallops which were undercooked and probably made my stomach hurt later that evening. My husband had the spicy pasta which was too spicy and he tolerates spicy food very well. The first time we went during lunch and the service was good, but the second time we went the service was bad. I hate to say it, but we were to a point of leaving as we sat there for a while before the waiter came to take our order and they were not busy at all. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, but this time, they were not good, they were bland and lacking in flavor. My kids ordered mussels and they did not care for them, you could tell that the wine sauce was not reduced as the dish was extremely acidic. Due to my previous bad experience, I decided to just get a salad which should have been my entree as requested, but it was brought with the appetizer so I finished eating long before everyone and the Cesar dressing was extremely sour. My son ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich and specifically sequencing on the side, which was not done, but we had been waiting for so long for their food that we did not want to wait more for having it remade. The waiter never asked about our food, didn't refill our drinks, but he was quick on bringing us the check while my kids were still eating. I wish that our experiences were better as we enjoy going to the harbor, but unfortunately will not be coming back here anytime soon. read more

Wow this place is incredible!! Beautiful restaurant near the water. Just as a heads up, the patio doesn't face the water, but it's still a beautiful space!! Food was sooo tasty and visibly delicious, it was hard to choose. Had the crab stuffed shrimp and it was really tasty. The risotto was okay, is the only part of the dish that could've had a bit more oomph. Had the shaved ribeye Crostini- very tasty too but a little greasy. Also be aware that this is in a sort of mall so it shares parking with a lot of establishments. Not easy to find a spot so I used the valet service this time. read more

Wow!!! Yum! And a must for Italian foodies. Brunch or dinner. Authentic and grand service. Lovely ambiance, can't wait to include this into a regular special place. -The quality of food isn't good & the food is really bland -overpriced, could've gotten better quality food for the price -mojito was sour & not flavorful -the Appetizer with shredded beef was really dry, lobster ravioli and stuffed shrimp dish weren't stuffed, and the ravioli was cold -food took forever and we ate late -service was good & atmosphere was nice read more

When I asked for the special Lump Crab pasta, I was served a pasta with shredded imitation crab. When The manager approached the table after I payed, i asked him why was the shrimp shredded on a lump crab dish? He said that's how they prepare it. Why would you advertise lump crab if you're Going to shred it it while cooking it? I looked and looked for what could be a lump of crab, and none was found. They ripped us for a 28$ dish that advertises lump crab and we sadly got imitation shredded crab. Thieves knowingly served it that way. Thanks for your time :) read more

This place NEVER disappoints. Perfect ambience for a date night or casual weekend brunch with friends! This has been our go-to for years.

Party of 12... 6 adults 6 kids....This place sucks.... 2 Of us ordered steaks and both of our steaks came out over cooked...Over cooked meat is over cooked..... everyone else food was fine... Waited 1 hour for the food....told the manager both our steaks are over cooked. Manager said they remake the steaks...We advised we was have small kids we been here an hour the kids are starting to get restless... if you can just take the steaks off the bill since the steaks are made wrong and bad... She begins to argue with us that the steaks that are over cooked that she saw that she was willing to remake are not bad...then she goes how about you pay half...lol... I said you know what I'm asking you to do the right thing but you want to argue about bad food... So I told her forget it... well pay for it all charge us the full price... In the end she takes it off the bill.... Insane, we'll never go there again. read more
