    Antipasti salad
    Christi S.

Went to gio's to grab some lunch. You walk in and there are tables and a walk up counter. To the right I believe there was more tables and a bar area. I should've taken pictures of it. The last time I had ordered anything from here was February 2023. I was craving their buffalo chicken salad. The chicken portion seemed smaller as well. My husband got the antipasti salad. Now that was a disappointment. There was like only two slices of pepperoni and the rest of the meat. Really, that is like me making my own salad for work. I expected better. It was good but, I feel like they had changed a few things about it. It seemed smaller than what it was before. What really caught my eye was the slices of pizza. I will definitely be back to try those.

This is by far The Best pizza I've ever had. You get way more that what paying for. I love the pizza by the slice. The Duke. Which is one of my favorites. Is just chuck full of meats, cheese and sauce to die for. And here's what you get for 5 bucks. No kidding. If you noticed. Each box have a single slice. I have them cut in half. There that BIG. This 2 star is solely based on the service or lack there of. I went to eat here with 4 family members yesterday (February 27,2022) and experienced the absolute worst service I've ever had in my life. It literally took us 30 minutes to get our soda and water. I honestly can't express enough that this was the worst service I've ever had.. ever! The kitchen did a great job. Infact they did a phenomenal job!! The owners are either rich and don't care about revenue or are in the dark! If star rating was just based on the food... 4 stars.. just based on the woman that served us... zero stars. It's a shame what we have grown to accept!

Meat lovers slice. Exactly what I wanted.

Food was excellent, service at the bar was okay I would say the older bartender was quite rude.

Salad was fresh and crisp with a light balsamic vinegar and olive dressing. Bread was good and a side plate for oil, balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese. Meatballs were soft and flavor full, sauce was sweet and exploded with flavor as I chewed, pork ribs were nice, soft and the bricole was the star of the show. It broke apart removing it from the family style bowl. $30 each and it was amazing. Family owned and operated, nicely decorated, delightful little place. The waitresses were mother, daughter and had a great personality. We finished up with coffee and split a slice of carrot cake which was very good. Clean, comfortable and delicious. Highly recommend. I have also come here with a small party, like tonight, and everything is well. We, party of four on a Sunday night, were seated at a table in the bar because there were no booths open. When one opened up we asked the manager who was passing by if we could swap tables and she was very accommodating. It was busier than expected, service was slow to start but we were in no rush. We ordered mozzarella balls which were ok. I had a chicken parm, had better had worse. Pasta was a little chewy. My grandma wasn't happy with her filet, tough. My grandfather felt his chicken that was his pasta was also tough. Dessert was good as well as our cups of coffee. All and all a nice place to come. I wouldn't mind trying their pizza next time I come in, just wasn't feeling it today.

It is a nice place if you want to actually sit and talk without a lot of noise or crowds. Great for a date or a relaxed evening where conversation is part of the point. It's priced higher than some other options around, so probably more of a special occasion spot than somewhere I would go regularly. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. At 5:30, we were the first ones seated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it was good we had a reservation because the tables filled up quickly. Before we even noticed that the room was a bit chilly, someone brought over a space heater to make sure we were comfortable. My mother uses a rollator, and we were pleased that there was plenty of space to park it in a corner near our table. Staff were super helpful in getting her situated. Our server, Nicole, was friendly and attentive, as were all the other staff. We asked if they could do a non-alcoholic cocktail and she said sure, do you prefer something sweet or something gingery? We said gingery, definitely not sweet. With just those instructions the bartender sent over virgin Moscow Mules with ginger beer and fresh lime in copper cups -- delicious! We started with house salads which were fresh and nicely dressed with vinaigrette. Then we had the braised beef & truffle pappardelle, roasted cod, vegetable & mushroom risotto, and the homemade ravioli du jour, which was stuffed with mushrooms, swiss cheese and leeks. The person who ordered the ravioli is a vegetarian, so the chef came out to tell him the sauce had a beef stock base and suggest other options. He went with a truffle sauce. As she was delivering our salads and main courses, Nicole asked if anyone would like freshly ground pepper or grated cheese -- a nice touch that a lot of restaurants don't do these days. We were all delighted our food. For dessert, we shared the ricotta donuts and the cannoli. The donuts came out piping hot, coated in cinnamon & sugar, with a yummy caramel sauce on the side. The cannoli with orange zest, chocolate and pistachios was also marvelous. All in all, it was a perfect evening. Superb food and service, great atmosphere, and attention to our group's special needs. I'd like to make this a family tradition every year.
