This will be a quick one since it's a cute lil' place, but here goes! While hanging out at the MGM…read moreCasino in Springfield for my fiancée's anniversary of turning 29 we saw some folks walking around with these milkshakes and they really wanted to let us know they had alcohol in them! Lol. They instantly became our friends and we then made our way to where they got those shakes from. Here's how things went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place instantly reminded me of Christmas. It was the beginning of August, but I felt like I was transported to the end of the year or to the North Pole as soon as I stepped inside. Now it wasn't decked out with Christmas decorations or anything, but when you visit I think you'll understand what I mean. So this place is like a gift shop, featuring a coffee shop that had the privilege of adding alcohol to your shakes! Service: John hooked our shakes up along with his partner in crime. They were so funny, energetic and it seemed like they were having fun too! All of the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. Food: I went with the Oreo shake (I can't think of the correct name at the moment since this is 3 months later and I'm catching up), but it was delicious. I had a few shots of vodka added in to make it a bit stronger, but I could hardly tasted, though I felt it later. Lol. Value: I'm really dropping the ball with my memory on this review, but I think it was $8.00? Maybe $10.00 for my shake? Just got and see for yourself! They're worth it! In conclusion, if I didn't have to watch my carbs and my sweets intake, I'd be up in here all the time! Please come check this place out, you'll have a good time resting by the fireplace on the big deck just outside.

They offered to wrap our three items together or separate. The packaging was so pretty , they were a treat to open! The restaurant is stylish inside and pleasantly decorated. I gave this man simple instructions, I need a freezer bag and if he could pack the slices of cakes in a container that can withstand moisture from the ice because I have to travel 6 hours to bring these cakes home. He said he understood it. He offered that he will wrap the paper boxes in saran wraps. He asked me what time I am coming back and I told him that I will return in 15 minutes, I just want to walk around Federal Hill to find a take out lunch. He has my orders written down and just before I was ready to leave, he said he forgot to charge me for the freezer bag, the first thing that I asked for. So just to make it easier, I just handed him exact cash so he can ring it on the cash register by himself and I can leave. When I came back, it was more than 30 minutes, when I approached him to pick up my order, he said to me that he did not pack them yet and he told me to wait as he is packing somebody else's cake orders who seems to have a bigger order consisting of a lot of different whole cakes. I told him I have a Lyft driver coming but he said he has to take care of that customer first. This is what I am afraid of, this is why I tried to talk to people face to face for better communication and yet the service seems to still lack from this establishment. Mind you, all I ordered was 4 slices of cakes and two brownies. My order was forgotten; as soon as he realized that, he should have remedied the issue promptly. The size of my order does not justify receiving inferior service. The incompetence is very frustrating and I am refraining myself from losing my cool and I m trying my best not to create a scene, all I wanted was a better service as time is ticking and I already paid and tipped for the food and service much earlier than all these people. I was debating in my head if I should just ask for a refund but that could take just as long. I don't get a sorry and he is not hassling, he is taking his time, if he just packed mine earlier when it is not even that busy when I originally came, then there will be no issue. So I approached the other cashier who is an Asian girl and she hassled to finish fulfilling the order from her current customer and helped me, I explained to her what I mentioned to the older guy that I needed the slices of cakes protected since they are on paper boxes, and that I was told they can saran wrap it. The male staff member did not say sorry to me and was just muttering loudly to the asian girl that he totally forgot to do my order. I recommend that he needs to fulfill the prior order first before moving to the next customer so he doesn't lose track and forget. Some people belong in the back instead of dealing with customers in the front, if this person cannot focus and tends to be forgetful and disorganized, please don't put him in the front. It's infuriating. Time is money and if he doesn't understand that or cannot seem to be efficient, then he should leave the front service to the professional. The cakes, just what I thought, the moisture from the frozen ice packs I placed inside got in some parts of the paper boxes and into some parts of the cakes and brownies, the saran wrap did not work. I hope they have an option for sturdier containers to better protect the pastries inside the freezer bag that they sell. If I visit Rhode Island again, I will try out another bakery like the Madrid European Bakery & Patisserie. Pastiche may have a longer reputation for cakes, but the horrible experience leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

"Sweeter than wine Softer than the summer night…read moreEverything I want, I have Whenever I hold you tight This magic moment" (The Drifters) Walking into Moneta Moments surely is a magic moment- the sweet aroma of freshly baked goodies is incredible. Veronica and Diane's bakery operates on a "preorder" model, so their cookies, cupcakes, cream puffs, cake pops, scones and cannolis should be preordered by the dozen. Much of their business revolves around absolutely gorgeous made to order customized wedding and special occasion cakes and pies. They have close to thirty different cake flavors across the entire spectrum of yumminess. Here's the scoop on the flavor groups: "Classics" that include Chocolate, Vanilla, Red Velvet, and more. A "Fun & Delicious" line that includes among others Tangy Pink Lemonade, Pineapple Crush, Zesty Limeade, Maple Pancake, and Cinnamon Maple Four "Kids Favorites" of Sweet S'more, Cookie Dough Core, Cotton Candy, and Dreamsicle And some very intriguing booze flavors "For Adults" of Espresso Pubcake (made with Guiness beer), Rum & Coke, Lime Margarita, and Tequila Sunrise. On Friday and Saturday, they may have some cupcakes and cannolis for individual sale, so after a few text messages, I arranged to swing by and get 2 of each. While inside the store, I saw dozens of freshly baked cupcakes awaiting their custom "to order" icings, and two freshly baked stunning special occasion cakes awaiting pickup. We bought two chocolate chip cannolis, a chocolate cupcake, and a vanilla cupcake. We just finished scarfing down the cannolis. They were amazing! The filling wasn't super sweet, the chocolate chips were plentiful, and the shell was crispy and crunchy. A definite A+ of a cannoli. We will exercise some will power and share the cupcakes for tomorrow, but no doubt they will be equally stellar. If you EVER need a special occasion cake or a custom cupcake order, go check out their website, make a visit to Windsor, and say hello to Veronica and Diane, and make a Magic Moment of your own. You will not regret a thing!

The store looked like the other store I went to in West Hartford; I'm guessing they all have the same look. I ordered through the app and picked up. The cookies were hot and fresh when I got there. The service was friendly and the store was clean. As you probably know, they have new flavors that come out weekly. This time I got: Coconut Cream Pie: buttery cookie filled with coconut pie filling, whipped cream, and coconut flakes. I like this because of the coconut flavor, also the pie filling was decadent. Brookie: half chocolate cookie and half semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie; a very good combo. Chocolate Milkshake: chocolate cookie with chocolate sprinkles, chocolate mousse, and whipped cream. I loved this one, the mousse was so creamy. Milk Chocolate Chip: a classic cookie. Can't go wrong with it, batter was great. It's very similar to the semi-sweet chocolate chunk cookie but with smaller milk chocolate chips. Overall, the cookies were large and tasted delicious; service was great. I'm definitely a fan of Crumbl.

I specifically ordered this as a birthday treat and added the Happy Birthday sticker and bow because I wanted it to look special. After I ordered and paid, I was told they were out of the boxes and asked if putting it in a bag was okay. I said yes, not really thinking much of it at the time. What I was handed was a cookie in a paper bag, and the chocolate was literally melting and soaking through the bag. If you sell single cookies and offer customers the option to add birthday gift packaging, you should have appropriate packaging available--or at minimum offer another box that will safely hold the cookie. Putting a warm, chocolate-covered cookie into a paper bag that it immediately starts melting through is not an acceptable substitute.
