I am not a big pizza person. I'm actually really picky when it comes to pizza. I grew up on the east coast where pizza is just not the same as it is out here. I love New York style pizza that's fold-able, made from scratch in a big brick oven, and none else. When Gio's opened up, my life was complete! They have so many varieties of pizza, salad, and now sandwiched and wings! My husband and I can't get enough of Gio's. His favorite is the buffalo, mine is the eggplant. They heat up your pizza for you so it's piping hot and amazing. Not only is the pizza my definition of perfection, but the staff here are what make me come back again and again. They are all very friendly, and genuinely care about what they do. Gotta love a good, family owned place with amazing food and service! They are closed Sunday and Monday. I do wish they had more seating. There's only a couple small tables, and that's it. I think they should expand, and more importantly they should DELIVER! read more

I think I am seriously gonna need to buy a few different wigs just to disguise myself because I plan on coming here a LOT! I can't believe there is a piece of New York in Arizona less than a mile from my mom's house. Every time I come visit my family, I know exactly where I am going! Gio's Pizza is the BEST pizza in Anthem and the surrounding area. It's small store front is deceiving to its delicious pizza pie. There are several other items on their menu which they too perfect but their pizza is by far the winning item. They just partnered with DoorDash and now can deliver anywhere in the surrounding area. I just shook my head and sat down. Incompetence on top of being outright rude and not saying sorry there was confusion we'll get that right out to you. After 18 mins they managed to get it made and i regret tipping them at the register. Didn't look at the pizza. Got home and was disgusted to see there was a wet sloppy mess from the center radiating out about 3 inches. NO Crust . Was watery , cold wet lumps of cheese , sauce and likely dishwater from a wet pan, pizza peel or who knows. It almost like it was placed on a dishwater laden pan to be cut. For $22 for a stinking cheese pizza that is only 16" Its a rip off and I will never return to this location. Near $30 with a tip for nearly inedible pizza. Im temporarily disabled and have no income.. A good friend gave me some money to get something goid I enjoy. I used to love this place and the last 3 times this location has just gone downhill and completely untrustworthy now.
