I have spent the morning trying to obtain a reservation for tonight. I have spoken with David at the Oakbrook Terrace location and with "Felicia" at the Willowbrook location. Both of those hosts could not seem to accommodate my request, even though I explained that we were in from out of town and hoped to expose our friends to our favorite pizza. "David" said that there were no reservations available but that we could try being walk-ins. I didn't want my friends to have to go through that, especially in Oakbrook on a Friday night, so I asked to be connected to the Willowbrook store. He said that he was not able to do that. I thank him for his help?? And went back to the Internet to get the phone number for the Willowbrook store. There, I was connected with Felicia, who listen to my request, but explained that she is not allowed to accept reservations for five people at 6 PM. I explained the situation, telling her that I was hosting some new people and hope to have the best possible experience, but she refused to take the reservation. I think it was at this time that she started calling me "my dear." Perhaps that is some type of new Giordanos protocol, but I'm hoping that it will be re-thought, because it surely didn't land well with me! Anyhow, I explained how we had appreciated the pre-order ability in the past, and again reiterated that I was trying to make a seamless experience for our friends. She told me that the store could accept a pre-order at the discretion of whoever answers the phone, I guess. (That didn't make any sense to me, but I just filed that information, figuring that I could revisit that policy later.) After several more "my dears", we ended the conversation and I can promise that we won't ever go to that location. Next, I called the familiar Westchester store, and was put in contact with an extremely polite, friendly, hostess, who accomplished the reservation with absolutely no problem. Our phone connection was horrible, but she persevered and was 100% delightful. I thought it was strange that "Felicia" did not recommend the Westchester store when I asked for close by Giordanos... AFTER telling her that we were staying in Lagrange. She recommended that we call the Naperville location...?? I can assure you that the Westchester store will be the only one that we will patronize in the future. We have been there many times, and look forward to seeing those nice people much more in the future! We have always had great food there and exemplary service; I was only going to switch to a different location because of logistical reasons that have nothing to do with their food, their service or their ambience. read more

I would not ever Giordano's out of Westchester to anybody for a party. I had a party for 32 people got charged for 40 and I didn't get the discount for paying cash or for they said I a deposit which I gave to the owner $50 cash. In the midst of trying to figure it all out the took care of us called me very aggressively getting loud over the phone when they charge me $940 for 12 pizzas and two bowls of salad. We went for dinner here about 7:00 . There were only a few tables of people . We ordered the calamari, which ours looked NOTHING , like the picture someone posted on here . We got the lasagna, never would get it again . It was flat and had more gravy than lasagna , literally swimming in the gravy. We told our waitress that it was small and hardly had any pasta or ricotta and she said "oh really" and that was about it . She wasn't in a very good mood I guess lol . She wasn't sitting in one of the booths in between waiting on people and had her vape sitting on the table along with her other belongings like a little office . Liz was a fantastic server. The deep dish pizza is to DIE FOR. Wooooo! Our pizza took about 45 minutes which is standard for deep dish. It was Sunday night and not too busy. We got our drinks right away. The food was just amazing and perfect. We got half black olives and mushroom, and it was super hot, cheeeesy and delicious. Liz served us each the first piece. She was very fast and friendly. The ambiance was very chill and lots of TVs. Very clean place. Tons of appetizers and a good selection of drinks. Prices are very reasonable. Giordano's is our goto for stuffed pizza and this location is out preferred location. It's centrally located on a main intersection ine Westchester. We always call ahead and carry out. Service is always attentive and courteous. We always get the stuffed special and we substitue spinach for green pepper. If you want it cut, you should mention it when ordering. At firsts, I was upset when they didn't cut it but I'm starting to understand why they don't cut the pizza unless requested....... I prefer to cut it myself, this helps maintain the integrity of the pizza. read more

Service was very attentive. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter made sure our drinks were never empty. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and chicken sausage deluxe deep dish pizza. Just a FYI, our waiter notified us that it will take 35-45 mins for the deep dish. That was okay with us. Just a heads up in case people complain that they didn't get their food right away. Cheesy garlic bread was good, very fresh and fully cooked. Deep dish pizza was hot, delicious, and very cheesy. Crust was flaky not hard, and just the right amount of chewiness. I have wanted to take my family to Giordano's for years. I had it during a trip to Chi-Town back in 2007 and wanted to experience it again. With all the internet chatter about which Chicago deep dish pizza is best and then so many Giordano's locations, I was nervous to try this one. But we stopped at this location on our way up to Wisconsin, and I was SO glad we did. We got there right at opening on a Friday, so we were seated right away, but everyone was very welcoming and everything was clean. Our server, Daniel, was great! He was quick to take our order and give us menu suggestions, and didn't try to oversell us on how much pizza we would need. With two adults and a 9 and 5 year old, we got a small specialty pizza and it was perfect! It does take a bit for the deep-dish pizza to cook, about 35-45 mins, but it was so worth it! The crust was nice and crispy around the edges and underneath, the toppings were delish, and the sauce was amazing! Take out: the small deepdish was plenty for Mom n me. In fact, we each had a leftover hors d'oeurves the next day. Aside from being rather pricey, our sausage/mushroom/green pepper was as yummy as ever! Wow, the mozzarella and other stuff was plentiful with great crust and thick sauce. This is a typical Giordano's restaurant. The seating was prompt, the service was good, and the pizza was perfect Giordano's. We had the Large Stuffed Chicago Classic, and it was served nice and hot, which is the best way to have stuffed pizza. The toppings tasted good, and the pizza was just what we ordered. This was our first taste of Chicago deep dish pizza and even though I'm a New Yorker, I have to say this pizza was awesome! We stopped in the Chicago area on a cross country road trip and had heard about Giodano's before, so we decided to give it a shot. We're so glad that we did! We ordered a couple of long islands, a house salad, and a deep dish with spinach, onions, and jalapeños. The drinks and salad were pretty standard, nothing fancy or memorable, but the pizza was amazing. The sauce was robust and complex, the cheese was stretchy and delicious, and the crust was buttery, crunchy and a nice finish to the slice. I have to say, the actual pizza, in my opinion, was better than New York style, but I definitely prefer the crust of New York pizza. I had to knock a star because of the services unfortunately. The server we had was actually really great, but there was a party of 13 that took up the majority of the server's attention. I understand that places are short staffed right now, but in all honesty, if you only have two servers for the entire restaurant, you shouldn't be accepting a party of 13. We weren't able to get ahold of our server for a majority of the time so we often sat with empty drinks, which sucks because it's a 45 minute wait for your pizza. This isn't by any means a criticism of the server, this is completely management's fault. There are a lot better ways to handle being short staffed and this was a failure. We ended up ordering a couple of frozen pizzas to be delivered to a friend back on the east coast. I'm really glad we came here and gave this pizza style a chance. This isn't my typical go to location. However I went to this location because they were open later than other locations. I had family in town and they wanted to try some famous Chicago style pizza so I thought Giodano's would be a great place for them to try. The pizza was great, the customer service was great, everything was great. I had a great experience and so did my family. No complaints at all. this is a sad review to write. I have ordered from this location many times over the last 20 years. it no longer can cook a dee dish pizza. A month ago I ordered and half the pizza was undercooked. I've never had Giordano's thin crust pizza before...So color me surprised that I kind of liked it. As a native Chicagoan, Giordano's is tourist pizza in my opinion. My guy loves it though. This review pertains to the 10410 W Cermak Rd, Westchester, IL 60154 Giordano's location. Party of 5 people with 2 people well over 80 years old including a disabled veteran using a walker. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday for dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty, and we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for a table. There were only 2 chairs in the waiting area. I could see there were countless 4 person booths open and 2 large round tables open able to accommodate the 5 people in our party. I told the hostesses that we just needed a place to sit down as a family to talk while we preordered our pizza and waited for it. We were told there was only one waitress and we could therefore not be seated. I am being told this while I am staring at 4 able-bodied female hostesses standing idly and disinterested behind the front counter. I explained we did not need a waitress at this time, just a place that out party with the 2 elderly (one disabled) could sit down. I pointed out that I could plainly see 2 open tables available. They went to talk to the manager who did not bother to come out to speak with us and we were told there were no clean tables available, even though I could clearly see 2 preset open tables. We ultimately left. I used to regularly frequent this restaurant but will not be returning. Their failure to provide accommodation to disabled elderly veterans, complete lack of courtesy, service and industry from the management and the staff is shameful. I ordered a thin crust pizza and when we went to pick up the order I was informed that there was an error. They made a deep dish instead. I was offered to wait another 30 minutes for a thin crust or to rake the deep dish for free. Irritated I didn't want to wait so I took the free pizza! Silly me! Chicago pizza?! I had to see what the hype was! The setting is really chill and open, good for family and large parties. The pizza stand on each table was a cute set up. There is a bar! I started with a SMALL Cesar salad that was not small! I should have asked for an extra dressing to finish the last bit I had left. I ordered The Special - Thin Crust(ate it before taking a picture, oops!). There was a small hiccup... I was brought a Sausage - Thin Crust (pictured). BUT, when I brought it to the attention of the waitress she immediately went and got the owner or manager who apologized and stated what I ordered would be made and would take an additional 15min or so (what a bummer) and because of that the pizza would be on the house (all smiles again!). So I basically got two pizzas for free. I'm totally fine with that! Ok back to the pizza... it was good, I just imagined a true Chicago pizza to have a bit more seasoning in the sauce or somewhere. I would have to try another pizza in the city to compare and understand why it's famous vs a local pizza place in my hometown of Memphis (sorry that's all I have to go on). My wife and I have been going to Giordano's for years. In Chicagoland they are everywhere. We went to this one last Saturday (29-Mar-2014) with some friends that were visiting from Colorado. We were 6 adults and 3 small children and we arrived with no reservation at 6:30pm. I was amazed that we were seated within 5 minutes. Our server really did try his best, and we could all tell that he was frustrated because it seemed like they were understaffed. He was always having to help the other server and the bus boys. It just didn't seem right that there would only be two servers working on a Saturday evening. Refills were hard to come by, but the service was overall just ok. The fried calamari is a good appetizer, and the deep dish pizza was good also. There just wasn't a lot about the experience that really stood our or made me think I would need to come back. I have Giordano's locations down the street from where I live and another across the street from my job, so I'll keep them as backups if I'm ever super hungry, and there isn't anywhere else to go. Our group reported a bill of $108.00, and because of the size of the group that $108.00 included a 15% service charge. Nothing against the server personally, but we didn't leave any additional tip/gratuity. read more

My family and I came here after flying into Chicago ohare. Our flight was delayed and we landed around 11:00 and walked in around 11. This worked out however since the pizzas take about 45 minutes to cook. We ordered two medium pizzas (cheese and meat lovers). We also ordered a small barbecue pizza. Two medium pizzas for 6 people was more than enough as we did have leftovers from three pizzas. The regular cheese pizza was my favorite. They were also doing some work around the restaurant as we were eating which was a little annoying. At the end of the day the pizza was pretty good but nothing amazing and the location was okay.
