I've had superb Chicago deep dish before and I was very disappointed. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and calamari for pick up. This location is very easy to find and my order was ready when I got there. The hotel was fairly close thus the pick up order. The calamari was flavorless. The deep dish pizza sauce had a funny off-putting taste. Was this pizza frozen, perhaps? Would not go back or recommend. read more

Pizza is good, but just good. We had the meat Chicago style and margarita Chicago style. We ordered bruschetta and it was a little disappointing as it came out cold. It would be so much better served warm. Also ordered cocktails, tbh they sucked. The old fashioned was flat and tasted like a soda drink, the cosmo was syrupy and dull and the Moscow mule was the best one but only because it tasted like ginger beer. The pizza was pretty good, but the service was slow. I know it takes about 45 minutes to cook a pizza but overall the service was kind of slow, but the customer service was good no doubt about it. Food: one thing that we really enjoyed were the wings. My god these are some of the best wings I've ever had. I'll be honest I think I like the wings better than the pizza. I've been to this location before or restaurant if you will, but I went to the one I think it was Las Vegas. I think the one in Las Vegas tastes a lot better. This one was good. It was just a little bit different. I'm not sure what was missing here, but it tasted little different. It has been a while since I've had this style of pizza from Las Vegas. I know it. It started in Chicago, but maybe it was just me. Don't get me wrong. The pizza was great. We enjoyed every single bite. We also had some fries with Parmesan cheese on them, which were good. But I have to go back to the wings. If I came back here I would definitely order some wings. Little things like bringing plates, refilling drinks, the service was slow, but I get it. I know everybody raves about their Chicago style pizza, but I didn't have half an hour to wait for it to cook. So I went with the tavern style. As you can see from my photo, it's cut into squares, which I love and is typical for this type of pizza. However, they put the pepperoni underneath the cheese. This is controversial. I prefer the pepperoni on top so it can crisp up and char. It also adds to the texture of the pizza. With the pizza under the cheese, it stays soft and really blends in with the cheese. It tends to subdue the taste of the pepperoni. Even with this, it had a good overall flavor, and I would order it again. Chicken Parmesan and pasta is also very good. See the photo. Deep dish pizza is awesome at Giordano's - we have had one in the past Lou Malnati's and this is equally good. Service was good our drinks were refilled quickly. There is a bit of wait with the pizza. We also tried their parmesan fries - they were awesome. Ambiance is more mid level pizza place. The reason I didn't put 5 stars is the pasta we ordered was okay but not so great. May be we should have stuck to just the pizza. read more

I love some good Chicago deep dish! This is one of the two main Chicago deep dish chains, and I love this one has a restaurant so close to where I travel occasionally for work. Can't speak for any of the other food, but the deep dish is perfect! read more

We really wanted to try a Chicago style deep dish pizza on our cross-country move and were recommended Giordano's. We intended on getting two personal pizzas, but the owner recommended we do a small half-and-half for a true deep dish experience. We're so glad we followed his recommendation. My partner ordered a pepperoni pineapple on his side and I got the veggie without green peppers. Note that they put some of the toppings under the sauce. They even gave us some water for our dog. I was in the area and I had to go with a deep dish pizza. Heard many things about Giordano's so I figured I had to check it out. I went in for dinner on a Monday night and it wasn't busy. I took a place at the bar and was greeted by the server. Ordered the Chicago classic deep dish pizza and was told it would take 30 minutes. Had a few drinks while I waited for my food. When the pizza came out, I was excited as it looked good. The pizza itself was actually pretty good. It comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. I really enjoyed that combo! The sauce wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to but it was still good. I do wish they had a little bit of sauce in the middle of the pizza. The sauce is just on top and it was stuffed with cheese. Now I'm not complaining about the cheese since the cheese pull was great! But a little sauce mixed in there would of taken it to the next level. Regardless, it was a very enjoyable pizza. Came in around 1pm for a quick bite with the MIL. We both got personal 6" pizzas, one topping. She opted for the lunch special which came with a side (soup, salad, or something else which I can't recall). I just got the pizza. Silly me--she saved a dollar and got salad. I could have ordered the lunch special just to save $1 and not even have the salad. What was I thinking? Lol Clearly not about saving a dollar! Service was splendid. Stopped here on a whim - and I found a new favorite in the area! This is one of those places you walk into not expecting much (if you're unfamiliar) and get blown away by great food and great service. Our server was at our table multiple times, came with water refill's without asking, and was fast too! Our sandwiches came on the softest and freshest ciabatta bread I think I've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken was flavorful, with FRESH mozzarella on top and comes with a side of marinara sauce. I got a side of soup instead of fries and was pleasantly surprised with how filling this meal was for only $13. I was beyond impressed with the flavors and freshness for what I thought would have been an average pizza place. This place is a must-stop if you are reading this. I can't wait to come back and get another one of these sandwiches. My husband our three kids and myself went in there last night We did order three bruschetta's with a bunch of food, because we don't get to come out to Giordano's often and I love the bruschetta I have to say kudos to our server who was the only server there ,busy restaurant amazing service as busy as he was he still did his thing, He was kind, attentive and on top of the waiter expectations. Our delicious food and the GM who was there was attentive, amazing to our kids and all around a great guy We definitely will be back. Really wanted something to warm the soul on a cold winters night so off we went for a deep dish. We pre ordered so we wouldn't have to wait 40 minutes if ordering when we got there but even with that it was still another 20 minutes. I didn't mind because I ordered well done but as you can see it wasn't well done and not hot in the middle. We sent the pizza back to be cooked longer in hopes it would warm up the center section. It returned to our table 15+ minutes later somewhat hot but still didn't burn our mouths and lots of the toppings ran to the missing spot from our trial piece. The sausage was small and almost non existent and blended in with the mushrooms. The waitress was nice but for $33 dollars for a 14" pizza I'll try someplace else next time. read more

DC native and never really make my way over to the Illinois area. We don't have many authentic deep dish pizza places back home. But, I'm glad we found this place. Got a pepperoni deep dish with a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was tasty and the dressing was delicious. The pizza takes around 45 minutes due to it being deep dish. Worth the wait. I love deep dish pizza and had to try the famous Giordano's. I ordered cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer while waiting the 30 to 40 minutes for the pizza to be prepared. The garlic bread was under cooked and the cheesy garlic spread was runny. The small 6" stuffed deep dish pizza had sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. The pizza is very thick (about 2 inches high) and provides 4 pieces...a perfect size for one person. The inside of the pizza is stuffed with a lot of cheese! The pizza was good, not great. I really expected to hit a home run with Giordano's, given their reputation, but I have had better deep dish pizza at locations far from Chicago. My ticket before tip was $23.93. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD and it was by the owner himself! He approached the carryout area rude as heck and called me a liar about messing up the order. I simply asked for a refund and he kept talking back at me. I asked for a refund receipt and he said he couldn't give me one.
