This place is so cute. Great staff. Food was 10 out of 10. Take it from someone who is from Vegas. I love the outside seating area. Definitely check them out. read more

Marie's Pizza - Customer - Pizza Near Me - Rockford, Illinois

Pizza had a great taste. Good amount of toppings and service was outstanding. Menu has a good set of options.

Ordered a stuffed pizza from this place with 4 tippings to the tune of almosy $27 in addition to an XL pizza for a grand total of almost $53. Once pizza was picked up anf back home, looked forward to enjoying my pizza. Unfortunately, THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! Started to eat the pizza and ended up with a mouth full of NOTHING BUT CHEESE! Peeled back about 6 of the slices and maybe found 6 or 7 pieces of sausage and about 7 or 8 pepperoni. Minimum small diced pieces of green pepper and onion. Called them to make them aware of this and the guy answereing says let me get you the owner. Owner gets on the phone and once informed states he's sorry, that's not how they make them. Informed I could take pictures, hell i could bring it back. Owner states they are usually stuffed. If that's the case, WHO IN THE HELL REMOVED IT FROM HOT MELTED CHEESE??????? Owner then says I can give you a couple of dollars off of your next order...WTF???? YOU DEFINITELY DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME SPENDING ANY MORE MONEY WITH YOU! It's such a shame when they could care less! I'm definitely going to share the pictures with all of my over 2500 contacts! In an effort to make sure we're not supporting BS service in 2025! If you want good stuffed pizza, that isn't all cheese and dough, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! You can get evcellent stuffed pizza from John's, Giuseppe's or any other place. Go to Maries (Vincenzo's) if you want to be robbed of your money and not receive what you paid for! IF I could have given 0 stars, I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE! read more

By far, the best pizza in the area. Great customer service, amazing hospitality, the times that I've visited to pickup, the location smelled amazing, and was clean. Their delivery drivers are extremely courteous. I've been ordering from Marie's for many moons, and if there was an issue, which was always rare for me, they must certainly made it right. Bottom line: You cannot go wrong ordering from Marie's Pizza. read more

Pizza is alright the only problem is the cheap ingredients. If you wanna feel like crap this is the spot for you!

I love this place. Their pizza is fantastic, but beyond that it's their Lasagna that's fantastic. I've ordered take out and delivery from them for over 8 years and have never had a problem. In fact we've had friends at our house and have decided to order food here. I recommended the Lasagna, many of them ordered it. The next time they came over they wanted to get it again. They do deliver and that is great if it's late night or you just don't feel like driving. Generally they are very good with the service. I have only had one issue and the manager resolved it. read more

Reached out to Marie's for delivery service Pros: -Decent sized menu. Reasonable price. Good web resources to know what is on their menu -Delivery time was right on the dot in terms of expectations. They will deliver to a building. Order taker on the phone was very easy to work with. -Pizza was of good quality and drink options available. -Great hours for the area Cons: -Pizza box was a bit beat up when we got it and it damaged the pizza slightly. Amazingly despite a little cheese being on the top of the box the pizza was in pretty good shape. This prevented the 3 star Bottom Line: -If I'm in the area more, this would be a go to spot. read more

Rockford, IL seems to have a LOT of pizza places from which to choose. The large franchise places are here, but there are even more "mom and pop" places who make the franchise places look bad by serving a very high-quality product. With so many pizza places here, one could easily have trouble picking a place from which to get a pizza, as most places serve a great pie. Some have a great thin crust, some are dirt cheap in price, some have a great thick crust, some have a great stuffed pizza; but few seem to have all of the above under one roof. For over a decade, Marie's Pizza has had some of the best pizza in town, hands down. Whether one orders their great thin crust, double crust, thick crust, or stuffed pies, one will not go wrong with eating here. This family-run pizza place has a tasty red sauce they make in-house, with hints of onion and garlic supporting the ripe tomatoes. They also sell a few different red-sauce and Sicillian'ish entres and sandwiches, but they seem to mostly sell a lot of pizzas, and for good reason! The pizza's crusts are cooked perfectly while not being too greasy like many other pizza places' pizzas can be. Cheese is not overbearing, but is adequate in quantity, as are the toppings used. Carry out and delivery are the only ways to get their food, and they are open until late daily. The shop is accessed off of 12th Street from Charles Street due to Charles Street's realignment a few years ago and is easy to get to from Swedish American Hospital or on the way heading east out of downtown Rockford. Although not well-known by many in town (or easily confused with a similarly-named well-known south-west-side eatery with much-lessor quality pizzas), you are missing a real treat if you miss this neighborhood pizza staple! read more

Meatball sandwich. You will thank me later. Add some cheese and don't forget the grilled onions. Wow!!! The meat flavor is something to be appreciated here. This is my go to dish that I dream about when I am attempting to be a healthy person. I have never had a meatball with such flavor. The cheese tortellini is a solid pasta dish. Perfect amount of sauce and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Lasagna dish is dynamite. Yet again it comes back to the meat and cheese combination that is out of this world. The pizza is a solid choice for Rockford pizza. Unfortunately I have not indulged in it as much as some of the sandwiches and pastas, so I can't give as much of a review on it. If you are in the mood for a great hot sandwich or pasta, look no further than. You will not be disappointed. Plus they deliver for those lazy nights in. read more

Ordered a large everything no achiovis,it was kind of okay, but they don't put ham or bacon ,hardly any sausage or pepperoni, I'm sorry but loading on tons of green and yellow bell peppers to try to make up for that isn't working hardly any mushrooms, and those were canned, ordering John's or pinos next time read more

I will say this in two orders in one week of $150 and we tip well nothing but disrespectful cowards I'm willing about nothing I'll come back to me that's the kind of place they are cowards they rip people off they screwed me and that's pretty bad literally $150 in one week of orders and because I was told my food would come in 45 minutes to an hour and I came early they told me when I called them back we called you you should answer your phone we told you it would take this much time to get there but if it comes early you should answer your phone you know what I think they should do take a flying you know what to the Moon :-) crazy place now that's amazing and guess what I did I tipped their driver $5 for talking to me like a piece of garbage when all I asked them was why they delivered the food early and because I was told the certain time they would be here they didn't tell me when the driver would come back and I asked when they would be back with the pizza they told me we don't know when he'll be there when he's there answer your phone really that's kind of sad they're a bunch of scumbags screw that place and screw their name bunch of cowards who overcharge for crap service read more

Overcharged $1, got wrong item, eh! I ordered the Italian Beef with cheese ($4.70 & $1.25), Onion Rings ($2.60) and a can of pop ($1). I got the Fried Mushrooms instead ($2.90). Tax included, it should have been $9.85, but she charged me $10.85. No receipt offered. The mushrooms appeared to be frozen and deep fried, and were just ok. The Italian Beef was again "ok", at best. Fair sized bun, with lots of beef on one end, virtually none on the other end, overall a bit skimpy. Good amount of stringy cheese. Good, not great. I asked for it "extra juicy", it came out dry, but with a side container of juice. I could have used two. She quoted 20 minutes, and I think it was most of that time, a bit long for putting meat on bread and melting some cheese. They offer a variety of pastas and sandwiches, along with pizza. I'll try something different if I go back. Napoli's still outshines everyone else in town on Italian Beef. The same meal with fries (LOTS more meat, LOTS of fries) is $7.00 there. Strange hours, does not open until 3pm. Take-out and Delivery ONLY, no inside dining. read more

Hands down the best pizza in Rockford. We used to order once a week when we lived in their delivery range, but definitely worth the drive across town! read more

I have ordered from Maries pizza for over 8 years now. It was one of the first I tried in Rockford and I liked the pizza from the start. I have been a vegetarian for more than 3 years, so when I bit into my pizza (which was supposed to be spinach, mushroom and peperoncini) and found italian sausage, I was not too happy. I called, politely explaining the situation, and asked if I could recieve a credit, it was 11pm. The owner told me they don't give credit's, they don't give out free pizza's, and they could bring me a new pizza tonight, or receive a $1.65 credit next time. It was late, and we didn't want to wait another 20-30 minutes for a pizza and $1.65???!!! I haven't had meat in years, the LAST thing I wanted to find on my pizza was sausage. I ended up having to drive up there because they agreed to "return" my pizza. One piece and one bite was missing from this large pizza. Two out of the three people eating it, would not have now, because of the sausage. I was not trying to get a "free." pizza, I just wanted the pizza I ordered. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Marie's. They refunded my money and I will NOT be ordering from there again. It's a shame. You'd think a business so concerned with a $15 pizza would try to hold onto customers a little better. . . read more

Ordered a medium pizza and it was here in 25 mins! Can't beat that! Very good sauce and loaded with topping. The same person who took my ordered delivered my pizza. He was very kind and friendly! It'll be my go to for authentic pizza from now on. read more

They refused to deliver to me, saying "I live too far"!! Ha!! I live like 2 miles away!! What a bunch of BS!!

Great pizza, pasta is excellent and fair prices. Order time is reasonable. Great family run carry out restaurant.

For being the only place I can ever drunkenly find as able to deliver late on a Thursday night, I'd say this place makes a pretty decent pie. Delicious sauce, healthy amounts of meats, decent crust - it is definitely a pizza I don't feel guilty about ordering three Thursday nights in a row. read more

Pretty good pizza and a very reasonable price. We had our delivered and it was still hot and steamy. Yummy sauce. Can't complain here. Well worth the $14 for family size cheese, sausage and mushroom. Taylor Street was my favorite, however, has been slipping in quality a lot. This is now my first choice for delivery. :) read more

Awesome hot Italian Sandwiches. Plenty of cheese. I've had it several times, always great. Only one thing I would say is you do need to as for AuJus or they don't add it. Yum read more

Once again great service from Marie's. You gotta try the chef salad. It's a nice size at the right price.

Love the food. Pizza is just how it should. I just wish was open for lunch I know everyone at the hospital does.

Best pizza delivery for downtown Rockford hands down. Flavorful sauce. Seasoning on the cheese. Chewy and perfectly crisp crust. Don't forget to order the house special salad, the fresh Mozzarella is enough to sell it. Sandwiches are huge and delicious as well. read more

Just passing through and wanted some easy food. Good pizza. Sauce is very tasty and there was a huge pile of delicious cheese on top. In my opinion, There should never be less cheese on any pizza ever. It is just delivery or take away but worth a bite for sure. read more

Best pizza in Rockford. I keep it simple... Small stuffed pepperoni and cheese. Can't beat the price and can't beat the taste.

We ordered Marie's recently a few times to try something new. The first two times was okay tonight ordered from there omggg a sloppy wet nasty pizza with some burnt mushrooms. At this point nothing had been taken out if it as it was so watery the cheese wasn't even on it. I called the man that answered was rude and refused to give back money. Said he would have it out in fifteen min to give the other and mushrooms back. Delivered once again and forgot the mushrooms so again sent delivery driver here. Only for him to say the cheese was peeled back and he is being made to pay for it.. wtfff NEVER AGAIN threw it all away read more

I love Marie's pizza and could eat it on a regular basis. Great tasting pizza and delicious sauce. I love it !

This is where I go for all pizza . There are other things done as well I recomend the meatball poorboy as well . I have NEVER had anything bad here and I have been going here since the 1980's . Best Pizza in Rockford hands down . read more

This is by far the best pizza in Rockford. We have tried others and they do not even come close. We end up comparing them to Marie's. The location is not very convenient for us, but it doesn't matter. It is worth it. And... they put enough sauce on the pizza, but not too much. A lot of places skimp on the sauce. They use fresh mushrooms, which is a plus for me. I would always have to ask other places if they use canned or fresh mushrooms. Why would you not use fresh? They offer a 'Family Size' pizza, which is awesome. It is huge! It is fast and prices are good. Be aware, It is carry out or delivery only. read more

I don't know how you cant like this place, Never had cold food ever from here and toppings are always great. its the best in town. And no large pizza here cost over twenty dollars for two toppings so you might want to check you receipts. read more

best pizza in Rockford, possibly the world. No gimmicks and nothing fancy, this is just great food at a reasonable price. I don't know what type of olive oil they brush their crust with but it adds a nice flavor. Have had traditional and thick crust here, both very chewy(but in a good way!) and very flavorful. toppings are good quality, seem fresh and hand made, no canned stuff. read more

In all my 18 years ive never been so appalled by the customer service of a business. we had ordered a beef/saus combo with no cheese and sauce ON THE SIDE. not only was there sauce on the sandwich the owner was SOOOO rude. we brought up how the sausage was covered in sauce and his exact words to a LADY were "what do you want me to do fucking wash it thats how its cooked" I personally never get sauce on my sausage sandwiches and its never had an ounce of sauce on mine. all in all Im not to impressed with the food and now im no longer impressed by the service. You dont demean a customer let a lone a female who just gave your company almost 30 dollars for mediocre food. UPDATE: so as im sitting here eating my italian beef which was drowned in a pound of cheese i decided to pull the cheese off not only was the cheese an inch thick there were TWO 2 pieces of meat on it and my hot wings were half RAW and my little sister is already sick to her stomach from the wings. read more

Was in Rockford for an event this past weekend, and we needed to order some pizzas for the family. We decided on Marie's based on the yelp reviews. Ordered two cheese pizzas, one sausage pizza, and one supreme for carry out. Pizzas were delicious... some of the best I've ever had. If you like mounds of fresh ingredients, a lot of cheese, and a pizza that is very filling I highly recommend Marie's. I will definitely order from there again if I ever have a need for pizza in Rockford. And, I was pleasently surprised at the price as well. Great pizza and friendly staff! read more
