I love the pizza from here so much. It's super thin and always loaded with a generous amount of toppings. The menu prices are not bad for being right near downtown Beloit. I also love that you can order their pizzas for take-and-bake too! I definitely plan to stop back soon and grab a couple to bring back up to Milwaukee with me. The dining room here is really small though, but it looks like most of the business comes from carryout. That being said, there's a bar connected that you could sit at to wait for a spot to open up, if you wanted. read more

I stopped by to pick up some frozen pizzas to go. They were very accommodating in making a plain crust to go for my kid who is lactose intolerant. Very disappointed today. I have ate at Tilley's before. Wasn't that bad. Today, i took my team from work. It was horrible. I will not be back. We had a table of 6. Last Sunday we had the worst meal I have ever could eat. Where do I start I ordered 2 fish dinners one with a salad the other with coleslaw, the coleslaw was soup and the only way you could eat it was with a spoon. Both of our fries were dark brown and so soggy with grease we could not eat. Apparently, the grease is so old that it makes everything brown despite if the it's cooked or not. We order pizza all the time from you, but we felt like something a bit different. Wow we were so wrong to do so. Your pizzas are good, but this was horrible. I sent this to Tilleys email but got no response. I would hope they care but apparently they don't, I got no response. Decided to have lunch and watch some football with my daughter. I didn't want to sit at a big table I wanted to sit at the bar top for better service and the options to watch tv. I disagree with the mediocre rating and the $$ price. Jerry's has great thin crust pizza with a good selection of drinks at fair prices with friendly service. The small pizza is plenty for a hungry adult and the medium will defeat two people. (My hungry, 6'7", 20 year old son didn't make it halfway through a medium meat lovers pizza.) My only quibble was the order of wings were all paddles and no drumettes. If I lived in town, I'd go often. read more

I am not sure what happened to this place. When I first moved to Beloit in 97 this place was a staple. Now I am not sure how it is surviving. The wings are amazing so they get a star on their own. Now for the pizza. One star for the thin crust, but only because of the thickness because there is no crunch at all. More of a giant frisbee cut into tiny squares ready to be hand rolled into pizza rolls. I also think you could blindfold yourself and try 20 combinations of toppings and they would all taste the same. A positive point here my 6 year old could not tell the difference between a sausage and mushrooms pizza from a pepperoni. Would not recommend. read more

The next time we break down on the highway, we will try to have the car towed to a shop with better pizza in the vicinity. There are things I love about the place: the brusque waitresses, the track lighting looping down that adorns the bar, the unironic diner atmosphere...these things are good, and stand as living artifacts proving the place's age and history. It's a REAL diner. The pizza is pizza you could find in any bowling alley across the country. Technically it is pizza but it is thin enough and greasy enough to make you wish, by the time you've finished one, that maybe you'd shown some restraint. The service is good and fast, and for fairness' sake this place delivers exactly what is advertised. Our family of about 30, after a family funeral trickled into Tilleys on a Wednesday about noon. It was a last minute decision that brought the group in with no reservation. Myself being the first there let the waitress know there would be quite a group. She smiled and started moving chair & tables and a plan to seat us. Her name was Lynn and she was absolutely wonderful. She was the only waitress for the room and was so professional, helpful and friendly. She kept a smile on her face and her attitude was fantastic! She really got a work out helping all of us. It must have been overwhelming but you would never have known it. Talking to her as we left, I learned she had been working at Tilley's for 40 yrs. If you grew up in Beloit, you knew about Tilleys. Best pizza in town and family owned. Beloiters who have left the city over the years and returned for visit's make it a point to stop at Tilley's. Sat on bar side on Sunday to watch nfl. Fox News was on on most tv's at noon. Had to ask em to change to football. Pizza was great. My mom and I loved it. Look I get the appeal of Tilley's in Beloit, it's a homegrown staple and I'm sure a ton of people have wonderful memories of eating here but (again) being from Chicago this was passable at best. We ordered a pizza and broasted chicken. Tilleys used to have the best tasting pizzas when Ron was in charge of the kitchen. I don't know who is running it now but the quality of food has plummeted. It was my understanding that broasted chicken was patented and everyone who advertised they had it was supposed to use the same recipe so how does Tilleys ruin it? We were very disappointed. The place is clean. Service is ehh. But the pizza was the most bland and thin pizza we have ever had. (And we've eaten pizza all over the Midwest, Chicago and New York) The pizza wasn't even the "thin" one so I can't imagine it being any thinner. There was no sauce flavor, I had to ask for a side of sauce. Couldn't taste the pepperoni and the cheese was tasteless. All you can taste with the pizza is the basil. We also had onion rings and they were decent but very small serving. The wings were more like small breaded chicken or drumettes with ONLY a packet of hot sauce, not really buffalo " hot wings". I'm going to make this review short and simple. Get in your car, drive to woodman's, buy a frozen pizza. Drive home. preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Place pizza in oven for 18 minutes. Make a really stiff drink. Take pizza out of the oven, slice the pizza up. Eat cooked frozen pizza.... What you just experienced is about 100 times better than the monstrosity Tilley's calls pizza. They do have cheap beer which brought them up to 2 stars. But i brew my own beer, so let's knock it back down to 1 star. read more

The idea is flatbread pizza. The execution is wrong in so many ways that it's hard to know where to begin. The dismal basement location and the interior from the 1960's set the tone. I had to fight the urge to flee. I really wanted this to be good and I really hoped that fellow Yelpers who rave about this place would make me ashamed of my initial reaction. Yelpers, we need to talk about our relationship. You let me down. if you are falling down drunk from the bar connected to this place, then you can be forgiven for a positive rating. If you are a student on a budget that only allows for ramen noodles and cat food, you're excused. If you are a shut-in on the lam from the nursing home or a recent parolee, you get a free pass for giving this pit any more than one star. Everyone else, "You're Fired!" From the abominable industrial cheese to the bland sauce and sad veggies, this was pizza in shape only. The crust actually held up to this mess on top, which suggests that there is a kernel of potential if actual food were to be used for toppings. I ate my share of Dominos in college and i know that there are times when you just have to suck it up and eat what's in front of you but I've learned to expect more of pizza places now that I've seen how simple it is to make good pizza for only $1-2 more. I'm ruined by brick oven pizza in Madison and even by the decent frozen pizzas you can get from a few places now. Any random pizza in the supermarket freezer case would be an improvement over what this place serves. The only good thing is that this lesson cost me so little, less than $10, and I can use it to validate my urge to flee the next time I'm in a similar situation. There is an opportunity for someone to offer real pizza in this town if this place is managing to stay in business. read more

Had the thick crust pizza and it was not good. They should take this off the menu. It was not really very thick but it was tough like a stale biscuit. Very skimpy on all toppings including cheese and sauce. This made it very dry. Does not use high quality cheese like you would expect at a pizzeria.
