Domenico's used to have really good food, many years ago. Now lately I've ordered delivery a few times out of nostalgic hope I guess and I certainty won't anymore. I ordered bruscetta which USED to be really tasty, and it's inedible. I order calamari fritti, inedible! The pastas are just the most basic garbage tasteless and depressing stuff! I pay 17 dollars for Zuppa di Mare and here's exactly what I get: only 8 mussels, FOUR of which are closed aka inedible. The most rubbery nasty calamari imaginable. Several overcooked shrimp. ZERO CLAMS, it's supposed to have clams in it but like I guess you think nobody's going to notice, right? But let's cut thru the shit, that pasta was so overcooked I thought Chef Boyardee cooked it. The dude should be ashamed to be an Italian. Lol I'll be watching Kitchen Nightmares and be thinking yep I bet this place is exactly like those! Please do better, Beloit needs delicious, fresh, REAL Italian food. You have it in you, you used to delight us, bring it! read more

Don't order online!! I did just this and they submitted my order to their cheaper restaurant, Palermos. All my food was exceedingly bland to the point of disgusting, no seasoning at all, and not worth the $25 for a pasta dish and appetizer. I threw it all out. read more

My husband and I love this place! Our families have been regular customers for years. We also had our wedding reception here, and let me tell you, it was amazing! From the food, to the Venue, to the service! Love love love their Lasagna and their Chicken Marsala! Bread is to dye for as well. My husband loves the Shrimp Scampi. Large menu selection too. We also love this establishment because it is a family friendly place where we can bring our children for dinner and not go broke. Definitely a must try if you've never been. read more

We were referred here while vacationing in Beloit. The dining area is big, and when we first walked in, I thought we were in a ballroom. It was! The front area has a dance floor and has a big open space for banquets. The main dining area is behind this and was probably accessed from a different door. Either way we were promptly seated and given menu's. We were not super hungry and the waitress made the buffet sound really good. Well, it wasn't really good, but we found enough to fill us up. This will most likely be the last time I order off a buffet. Nothing special here and the pizza sauce was lacking in flavor. In looking around at what others had ordered, however; I was convinced I should have went to the menu instead of the buffet. read more

I was in the restaurant last night, April 23, 2019 and felt the service was terrible. Normally when you are seated you are given a nice bread basket and a bottle of olive oil and enough bread dishes for the number of guest. On this night the waitress did not bring the customary bread. I thought maybe she would wait until the meal was served, that didn't happen either. When I finally had to ask for the bread, it was a long time in coming, a basked was dropped on the table, no olive oil or bread plates. My meal of stuffed pasta shells was not that great either and it didn't arrive until my two guest, who had the buffet, were nearly finished with there meal. Not bad! The pizza here is good however I had a bad experience. They delivered an under cooked and inedible pizza. Their excuse was they had hired a new chef bla bla bla So they delivered another pizza which was a little better but not like it used to be! I have not ordered since to see if they are better again. My son and I had dinner here earlier this evening. We were not impressed. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and it went down hill from there. My son ordered a shrimp dish the menu said it came with a choice of pasta or potato.he was told the menu was wrong if he wanted a potato he had to buy one. When his shrimp came out was obvious that they were using frozen shrimp he had one that tasted just awful. We barely made to the car before he lost his dinner. I ordered the Chicken Marsla. It was passable. Nothing I would order again. The side dish of pasta arrived cold. We will not be back. The service here is not the best. We had a group of 9 on a somewhat busy night. By the time the waitress finally came to our table for drink orders, everyone was ready to order. By the time we got the drinks (water), we had gone to the salad bar and had our plates clean. The meals were edible. The chicken alfredo was like soup. We have always ordered pizza from Domenico because it's the best, or at least until today. We ordered large thin crust works...got a large pepperoni and green olives, not something we would order. My husband called to tell them about the mix-up and the lady blamed it on computer error. Long story short I think we're done ordering from them. read more

Horrible service! Called to make reservations at 515 told we had to come in at 5 to beat the crowd. We were asked if we could sit at two tables and we told them no! Get there at 5 and table isn't ready we wait for 10 more minutes only to find out we would be split in two tables. Told them it wouldn't work since we had 6 kids so wanted us to wait longer til they figured something out! So much for making reservations and the gentleman there who I believe was the owner was rude! Thank goodness Jerseys was nice enough to accommodate us even though they were very busy too!! read more

My wife and I just had our wedding reception and we catered from Domenico's. We asked for our mostaccioli to be vegetarian since my wife and several of our family members are vegetarian, and they did not provide this to us. We asked them in person and over email and let the owner know when I went in to pay for the food. Each time we asked, we were told not to worry and that the food would be vegetarian. After the reception, my wife called them for two weeks trying to get a discount or a refund for the food that was incorrect. Finally we got ahold of them and they were incredibly rude to us. Very disappointing as the food is very good but the customer service is horrible. We will not be returning. read more

Ordered for delivery while in town visiting. We had pizza, wings, mushrooms, and a salad. Delivery was quick and food was not that pricey, and it was hot. Overall we would order again, but the hot wings came as plain fried wings with just a cup of hot sauce. Not what I expected, but overall food was good. read more

I've eaten here twice. Shrimp with a light cheese sauce, I had asked the server to suggest a wine with the dish, he was clueless. Didn't matter in the end, how do you pair wine with a dish that taste like kraft mac & cheese. Second time, I ate pizza, that was good. Took my husband here to Dominico's as I really enjoyed it when I was younger but was majorly disappointed with the results today there was only two choices of pizza for the buffet one sausage the other one pepperoni neither one was hot there was not much choice as far as the buffet goes. I was looking for a lot more Italian food to be on the buffet but only had spaghetti and large meatballs with no bread or sticks of any sort . I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian food. I will not be going back anytime soon. read more

I can't comment on the pasta, as I can not go here without getting the pizza. I try to get home to Beloit ~4 times per year, and if I can tear myself away from Mom's home cooking, we make a trip to Domenico's just about every trip. I love pizza. I really do. And I've lived in five states (mid-west, NY and TX) and travelled extensively, sampling pizza as I go. While I have found many pizza's that I love, none of them top Domenico's thin crust pizza in my book. Except in Italy, of course, but that doesn't count. The crust is thin and crisp, the sauce savory, the cheese generous. Simply delicious. read more

An old favorite from our time at college in Beloit. It was a tiny restaurant across the street from the new location, but it's a much bigger place now with a banquet hall. We stopped in on a drive from Madison to Chicago for a Sunday lunch, and while it wasn't what I remember it was still worth visiting. Food is standard Italian fare, pasta and sauces and pizza, and all of it was prepared well. The eggplant parmigiana was notably good. The music is all old standards, Sinatra, Martin, et al, which creates a nice background, and the interior decoration is kitschy, reminiscent of an old Italian neighborhood restaurant with murals and classic painting reproductions. read more

Best salad bar in the city. Great soups as well, I especially like the cream of broccoli and the chicken tortellini. Lunch and dinner buffet is great when in a time crunch. Been going here for years and the food never disappoints. The prices on their food is so reasonable and you get at least a serving for 2-3 people which is just amazing for leftovers. We had a rehearsal dinner here and I was not impressed. Our waiter was amazing, but the food was pretty sub-par. Pasta bolognese tasted like jar sauce. Green beans weren't fresh (like on the soggy side). Chicken parm looked good, but sicilian cod didnt get any good reviews. The desserts were the worst mini cannolis and mini cheesecakes I've ever had...and this is an Italian place! Highly disappointed there. Nice little Italian restaurant. At first I was hesitant. I decided to enter and little did I know my whole world would be flipped upside down. I got seated and immediately felt at home. The Italian environment made me feel safe and comfortable. Then I saw him. The Italian god of a man. VITO. I saw Vito. By far the best service I have ever received in my life. The charming and very handsome man got me my food faster than I've ever received before. The food was good but because I knew Vito was serving it tasted that much better. My sister, our mom, and I walked in Mother's Day as they opened. The host mentioned they were fully booked but asked us to have a seat while he checked-in customers with reservations. The salad bar holds more than salad, it is also a buffet- this is confusing as well as an odd set up. I can give props to the fast service though the food, all four dishes we ordered had no flavor. I loved their eggplant! Oh my gosh, it was amazing. I was recommended to try the menu, not the buffet at lunch. It was the best eggplant concoction I ever had, it wasn't eggplant parmesan, but eggplant stuffed with various cheeses. Ah! Fantastic! A big thumbs up. read more
