This used to be the only place in the area that I will order my pizza from. The last two orders have been sub par. 1) med ch/mush had to have been a previous mistake and then just used for my order. It was cold and the cheese had already coagulated. I live 7min away and it was in a hot bag. 2) personal pan with veggies and xtra cheese: there was hardly any cheese or sauce and was overcooked. Let me start by saying that we order from Mark's frequently. There are certain things he does really well, pizza being one of them. But tonight I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken breast on the sandwich was nearly non-existent. The flavor was good, but it was less than an inch thick and didn't even cover the bun. I asked for lettuce, onions, and pickles because the menu didn't indicate that it came with any toppings. It's a good thing I did. The fries were hot, but so bland. Zero salt. My husband ordered a cheeseburger. He made the mistake of not asking for toppings and got none - no lettuce, no tomato, no onions. Usually, that's standard when you order a burger. As much as we love Mark and his restaurant/employees, I'm afraid he's only going to get our future business when we want pizza. read more

I stopped to Marks today to pick up a pizza and drop off my AT&T business card. Damn this is good pizza! It's got a delicious well balanced sauce, tons of cheese, high quality ingredient toppings and it tastes like I'm never buying dominos again. read more

The greeting when I walked through the door to pick up my order was great! I felt like I was an old friend even though it was my first time trying the place. We ordered the works pizza - wasn't a big fan. My kids enjoyed it but agreed not a favorite. read more

I'm from Ohio, and try to grab a hotdog or Italian beef sandwich any time I'm in the Chicago area for work. Hands down, this is the best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had. The jus makes it. 100% give this place a try if you're in the area. read more

The regular pizza was good with pepperoni but I think the menu prices on here is inaccurate. The Mark's favorite pizza was AWFUL. Artichokes, olives and spinach seemed to be from a can and the spinach was really overpowering, unlike what it would be like if it was fresh. The flavors did not mix well at all. read more

We didn't even know this was a place. We received a gift certificate and didn't want to cook dinner tonight, so why not try it? This food is fantastic! We ordered a taco pizza ( pictured) a garlic parmesan pizza, breaded mushrooms, cheese curds and two kids pizzas. The food is generally decent. Good Italian Beef, Good pizza etc. However, the management is below an acceptable standard. Last night I ordered an Italian Beef sandwich and an Italian Beef/sausage combo. The call taker and I had an extended dialogue in which I requested aus jus and cheese on both sandwiches. Last night I ate the beef sandwich and it was fine. I saved the second sandwich for tonight because I had to work late and didn't want to cook late. Tonight, I went to the refrig to get the second sandwich and discovered that they had sent me a ham and cheese on flatbread instead of the beef/sausage combo. I called to complain to the owner "mark". After I explained the situation to him he first said that they do not make/sell a beef/sausage combo. After our conversation, I checked the web site and discovered he was not being truthful. On the online menu, Mark's clearly offers a beef/sausage combination sandwich "Mark's Combo" for $10.50. Next, the owner asked me why I didnt call him last night. The implication is that I was making this up. This made it clear what and who I was doing business with. I told him I called around 8 and that his implication was wrong. I told him that my self respect was worth more than the cost of a stupid sandwich and that places like his restaurant are a dime per dozen. There are at least a dozen bars and restaurants in this area that serve as good, if not better food. Patronize those that are owned and operated by honorable people, instead of this guy. read more

I've been here several times in the last year and enjoyed everything I've had. Italian Beef sandwich, Marks Favorite pizza, Marks salad (half is more than enough for me), most of the appetizers I've had at least once. I think the personal touch of the owner being there and making food still is a big plus to me. He's a great guy who cares a great deal for his customers and his product. Very disappointed. When we went to pick up our order we were told they mistakenly gave one of our pizzas to someone else and it would be another 10 minutes. It took 20+ minutes and our other pizza was cold. Did not even offer a discount for their screw up. read more

My wife and I's favorite place to get pizza in Rockton / Roscoe. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu although since I'm a simpleton the pepperoni pizza is my go-to. Had the buffalo chicken tonight. I loved it but it has a kick! It was a little too spicy for my wife. read more

If you want to enjoy the best pizza in the Rockton area, you have to go to Mark's. We just wrapped up the few pieces that are left, but know they won't last long. Not on the menu, but I asked for a thin and crispy crust with cooked bacon, green peppers, and mushrooms. Wow, perfect! I know he doesn't have a garden out back, but the peppers and mushrooms were so fresh they tasted as if they were picked today. Simply the best! Thanks Mark. read more
