Holy MOLDY! Moldy cannolis got me sick super quick. I was lucky I take photos to review food and was able to have proof but unfortunately I ate it all the way until the bitter mold made me throw everything up. I'm so disappointed. I've eaten here 20+ times with no issues but this is unacceptable. The cannolis were very moldy and it was initially disguised by the chocolate chips. The chicken parm sandwich was completely soggy. Every bit of bread and breading on the chicken was soggy and soft. The fries were not fresh. Way past overdone, yes somehow still soggy. My wife ate half of a Gordita before we found the mold in my food and called it quits. I was so sure this location would be a 5 star review but I wish I could give it zero. The past few times we have gotten take out something is ALWAYS wrong. This last time was the same. Ordered the beef fajita burrito with cheese sauce. Well received no cheese sauce, the burrito was tiny and the contents were burnt. Couldn't even eat it. Was like a jerky burrito. For a 13.00 burrito I expected something better. Solid pizza for the pice. They cut them in squares so there great for sharing with a bunch of people. Also they have a bunch of different appetizers options and great burgers. Also on weekends there open super late so if your drunk and hungry there an excellent choice. If you go to Beloit College you can have them Deliver to the Wall and its super convenient. They'll usually call when they get there or when there a couple minutes away. Best way to order if you don't know what you want is from there google site. Ask yourself these questions before ordering Palermo's. Are you drunk? Do you have no more than $6.00? Are you so hungry you could eat the person next to you? Is it 2:00am? Palermo's is reliable, and they have decent burgers and other stuff considering the price you're paying, but really....at a pizza place, you're going to want good pizza. OMG! This happened and this exists . Palermo's has always been my favorite pizza because of the great taste/sweet sauce and amazing quality but there are only 2 locations in Chicago both on the opposite side of the city that I live on. So long story short, this really made my night. The pizza was as good as I remember and so were the chicken fingers. I wasn't aware that there were other locations like the ones in Chicago but knew instantly tasting the sweet sauce. I usually don't take time out of my day to leave reviews unless it's something really special, but this Palermo's location deserves it. If I could give this 6 stars I would as the food was out of this world and the delivery driver was courteous and helpful. Thank you so much for letting me experience this again! I haven't had Palermo's in years and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this pizza place- so worth it as compared to dominoes and pizza hut. Sometimes the chicken sandwiches with fries are great but most of the time the nasty lady taking orders forgets most or all of the toppings and the delivery drivers never want to leave the car and never say a word. It's always very annoying when the online website is down because you know you're gonna have to call to get yelled at by the lady again and she's going to forget those damn pickles, again. My wife and I decided to try out a new place so we tried Palermo's. I walked in to place an order and I waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter (should have walked out then). I placed my order which was "going to be ready in 15 minutes." After waiting 25 minutes I was told half of my order was burned and they would have to remake it. That is fine. I've been waiting for half an hour by now and I'm not going to wait another potential half hour for my food. So how about you make it up to me and deliver it to where I'm at? "Ok, that will be an extra dollar for us to deliver." Talk about a slap in the face! Absolutely horrible customer service. We got a burnt calzone that was literally black and the owner himself didn't want to do anything about it not even remake it. We ordered again even after that happened but this time the delivery driver stole my fiances wallet out of our car and the owner threatened my fiance when the police were involved. Well to begin with I have been ordering from this restaurant since I can remember back to 10 years old. I do NOT order pizza or even sandwiches and dinners any place except Palermo's. Over the years I've over looked late delivery, cold food, completely messed up orders, because I normally enjoy their food and believe in loyalty and they USED to make things right by the customer if mishaps occured. Well when you have an order of the same thing prepared the same way every time, and when it FINALLY gets delivered it is ALWAYS incorrect yet the receipt shows it was taken as ORDERED and you CALL and they politely apologize and assure you it will be remade and sent right out AS LONG AS you've kept your receipt and return the food that was prepared improperly or a credit will be added on your account per next order. So next order comes and THEN you're told at this time that you cannot recieve said credit WITHOUT a current order totaling 9$ or more, yet this was NOT told to you when you received the credit no. So you order 18$ more of an order to finally recieve the original order and when it comes, HA they only bring the food that was credited, not the food you have just HAD to order, and already paid for to recieve the credit. So more phone calls, and an HOUR AND HALF and 5 calls later the order shows up ice cold on a 90° day. Again you call and are told now THIS order will be credited to your account. Then you call to make another order to give benefit of the doubt everyone is entitled to bad days, and after 6 mins on hold after being told there is NO RECORD of any CREDIT on your account, that there isn't anything THEY can do. The owner will deal with it personally and if do not hear from him in 4-5 days give him a call back. Way to go Palermo's I'll save myself a huge headache and from being treated like I'm trying to get something for nothing when all I asked for is WHAT I ORDERED AND WHAT I WAS CHARGED FOR AND PAID FOR IN FULL... I'll make a peanut butter sandwich and have a better night from here on out THANKS BUT NO THANKS!! read more
