We chose a Rockford card and it was for a Pizza hop that no longer exists but instead it suggests checking out Gerry's. So that's what brought us here. As for the pizza.... It's just meh, not bad but not great either. I wish we would've ordered the extra thin crust bc I'm not here for the crust and love a good tavern style za! It arrived hot and was good but like I said not outstanding. While we waited for the pizza we had eggplant sticks with a side of marinara. These are ick! We had them at summerfest and was in hopes of something similar. These were not it! Beer was bottled or draft and they have a limited selection. No IPA. Clean establishment and friendly staff. Probably won't get back here but it was still a fun scratch off date night.

We tried it a few weeks ago for the first time and my husband and son swear that this is the best pizza in town!! We went back again last night and had the same results! First time I had the Italian beef and it was flavorful and juicy but the bread... it was crusty and flaky on the outside and fluffy yet dense on the inside. The absolute perfect bread for a juicy sandwich. We also had the lasagna(which I believe is only available on the weekends) and it was fantastic as well. His Grandma's sauce is splendid('Mamma Gulotta's' sold at Woodman's). To top it all off, Nick Gulotta; the owner, chef, order taker, carry out worker(he does it all himself!!!), is just about the nicest person I have ever met. I know some very kind/caring people, but Nick takes the cake. I just can't believe how long it's taken us to try it but am so glad we finally did! Thank you, Nick!! We will keep on coming back as long as you're willing to make us pizza!!

I experienced problems with the payout system and my card, which I hope he gets straightened out, but he did tell me I could order online, have the food delivered, and still pay the driver at the door (they carry card readers). That would save me the hassle of having to go pick up my orders in order to pay in the store. He said I could also order on the phone and pay that way. I look forward to visiting my friend's house up in Rockford more often so I can explore their diverse and ambitious new menu!
