This is probably one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Let's start with the hour and a half wait. I would have never waited that long for pizza, but someone in our party really wanted Giordano's. Once we were seated we began to notice how dirty this place was from garbage left on the table to highchairs that were just plain nasty. We were never asked if we wanted anything to drink, which has never happened before. We only had one set of silverware, and when asked we were told they were out, also a first. The food was just as bad as everything else. My wife who loves any, and all pizza hated theirs. Non pizza options were slim, so I got a meat ball sandwich, which could not be eaten as a sandwich. After being a thin crust fan for so many years we decided to try a deep dish. Was not disappointed until today. Went online and ordered a pizza from the location in Oak Lawn today at 6:00pm. Went through all the screens, entered my payment information and the next screen offered "No Contact Delivery" with a $0.00 charge. Thought that would be nice, so I checked it off and completed my order. Waited until 7:38pm and no delivery. Called Giordano and spoke to a young lady who yelled at me that they stopped delivery at 4 or 5 today. What? I am looking at my receipt which shows "No Contact Delivery" and she told me it can't say that. She became even more frustrated and yelled at me "Would you like to talk to a manager?" I responded "Yes". David got on the phone and told me the same thing, it can't say that on my receipt. I started to read him my receipt line by line and he interrupted me and asked for my phone number. He then told me "Oh, you missed the page before that said it would be ready between 7:18 & 7;28". I informed him that it did then offered me "No Contact Delivery" on the next page prior to processing. He also told me there was no deliveries after 5pm. What pizza place does not offer delivery after 5pm??????? He then cut me off again and offered to cancel my order and refund my payment. Really? Fine, cancel my order and I received an email from them that stated they cancelled my order due to: Your online order #2724328 placed on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 6:08 PM cannot be fulfilled due to the restaurant being closed or other circumstances. It's spinach day so I Ordered thin crust spinach pizza. What a mistake crust was like cardboard with barely any cheese which is what makes the pizza. I'm sticking to Beggars or Whole Foods. I stopped liking Giordanos when they started to refuse to deliver to me on 95th and Lafayette. I've been here over 4 years and had no problem getting orders then I had to speak a manager that flat refused to deliver. I dont mind I found Waldo Cooneys that delivers and are on grubhub. I don't often write reviews but this is our third negative encounter with Giordano's on western. The first encounter they delivered our pizza 1.5 hours early when we had timed it perfectly for our guests, second time they delivered the pizza 1.5 hours late and we called 4 times receiving no updates on our delivery. This time, we ordered a heart shaped pizza (our Valentines Day tradition) and my husband picked it up (so delivery wasn't an issue) and they gave us a regular pizza. I have been enamored with pizza ever since I could conceptualize my thoughts. From the evolution of frozen pizza to restaurant cuisine, Pizza has always been at the forefront of must-haves. I'm just trying to establish that I absolutely LOVE all-things Pizza. So it completely rocked me to be so disappointed in Giordano's! Let me get this out of the way: The pizza is top-notch. Came out straight from the oven: straight burnin' hot gooey goodness! But the dine-in service was so bad, laughable doesn't even cover how I feel about it. While I did not expect to immediately greet my server, I felt that the time between our group sitting down and our interaction with our waitress was severely delayed. Furthermore, after getting our orders taken and our drinks given to us we had very little interaction after that! Between us placing the orders and receiving said drinks, they next time our waitress bothered to come by was when our pizza was ready. Thereafter, the next time she stopped by was to drop our check off, not even bothering to inquire whether or not the food was good. Oh, I made a mistake. My son had finished his drink and attempted to get one last refill before finishing his last slice of pizza, and my guest even tried to flag her down before I couldn't stand waiting any longer. She coughed up a "have a great day" as I was leaving but it felt insincere after the lackluster service I had received. At one point our waitress walked out of the restaurant to wave at a patron that left in a jovial manner: either she knew them directly or she felt more attentive to them for whatever reason. YOUNG MANAGEMENT AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered over $70 worth of pizzas and food to go and left A TIP when I picked up the order. I dropped off part of the order at a family members house and took my food home. Come to find out two of the pizzas were made incorrectly. I immediately called and spoke with the young manager and he keeps me on the phone for 30 minutes trying to figure out how they got the order wrong and then tells me to bring ALL the food back to the restaurant (during Covid) for them to remake! As in... pack my kids back into the car, drive to get the other pizza from my family member and then get $14 off towards my next order with them! I was doing some shopping in the area with my friend and sister. We decided to do lunch but didn't know where. Initially, I would jump at the chance to go to Giordano's but I didn't like this location. It had been years since I'd been here. My friend assured me that it had changed. Well, she was right. We preordered 45 minutes before going in to be seated. And if you don't know to pre order pizza in Chicago, shame on you. The pizza came out buttery and delicious. It tasted like it did many moons ago, when I was a teenager. We also had the Parmesan fries, which were pretty tasty. The service was great. This is the worst restaurant to order from or go to. Jose is the manager and he should be fired. The food was 2 1/2 hours for delivery. When the food came it was cold and not cooked all the way. When I tried to speak to manager (Jose), he hung on me along with his employees. I had to drive to the restaurant in -20 degrees weather to speak to employees and manager. This location either needs new management or to close! I ordered from the Beverly location on Western yesterday (Friday) at 5:05pm at 5:06 I called because after I paid it said it was a 2 hour wait. When the woman who answered confirmed it was 2 hours I said I will pick it up, she let me know it'd be ready in an hour. At 6:15pm I showed up to be told my order was still placed as a delivery, yet the girl next to her said she switched it, the other girl taking care of me confirmed to her it wasn't switched. She goes back to check the pizza and comes out and tells me it will be another 40 minutes. I asked how that was even possible, to which she told me they wanted my pizza hot. I asked for a manager and spoke to a gentleman named Jesus who said they thought it was a deferred order and they would make it now so I'd have to wait another 40 minutes. No apology for their screw up, no offer to send it to my house, no discount. I asked for them to refund my card and cancel the pizza which he did... but he also gave me a sheet listing everyone else who ordered pizza from that location online along with the the transaction numbers. What can I say about Giordano's. They are a top 5 pizza spot and one of the best in Chicago. Giordano's is known for their deep dish pizza which is the best in Chicago (at least in my opinion); but they actually have solid thin crust pizza as well. I usually frequent the location on 96th & Western because its not too far from where I stay minus the small cramped parking lot & the long wait times (especially for delivery which are the reasons they only got a 4 star review) Giordano's pizza is definitely one of the best in the Midwest (My second favorite actually). If you're visiting Chicago and have never experienced deep dish pizza (every true Chicagoen should have had Giordano's deep dish pizza at least once) you need to stop at Giordano's ASAP. Your taste buds will definitely enjoy it. Also if you plan to come to the location on 96th & Western (unless you're dining in) its best to call your order in ahead of time (especially if you're ordering deep dish pizza because it takes longer to cook than thin crust) Also if you're getting you're pizza delivered be prepared to wait awhile, their delivery time is always longer than an hour. read more

5/22/16 The service was amazing! So friendly. The décor is great. Lots of interesting photos and artwork to look at while you're waiting for that deep dish to cook. We got the appetizer platter and some chicken tenders for our son. I ordered a meat lovers deep dish and my husband got a supreme (I don't recall the exact name but I know it had a lot of green peppers). The food was great. The diet Pepsi was super flat so I switched to regular and that was just fine. It's a little pricey for pizza but it did give us leftovers for another two meals, so it worked out fine. We were seated with menus, despite the fact that we don't need menus as we always get the same thing. And, there we sat. And sat. And sat. There were more employees than customers in the restaurant, yet not one came over to see if we wanted anything. No drinks, no offer to take our order. Not an employee seen in the dining room. After about 15 minutes of this, I went aound front, where there were 4 employees engrossed in conversation. I asked if anyone was working in the dining room. The same person who had seated us and walked away responded, "Oh, are you ready?" in a quite disinterested fashion. We left without our free pizza. In less time than we had spent sitting in Giordano's, we drove to another rsstaurant, were seated, ordered and had soup in front of us. The kids were promised deep dish for New Years eve and we phoned in our order and was told time for a pickup would be 90 minutes. Ok, New Years Eve, I get it. I arrived at the 90 minute mark and paid the $26 for a plain cheese deep dish. Got it home and the kids opened the box. This pizza must have come out of the oven about 45 minutes earlier. The cheese had solidified and the deep dish crust was doughy and chewy as opposed to the crunchy and crisp we expected. Its a lot to pay for a sub-standard deep dish pizza. Reheating pizza is something we usually do with left overs the next day, not 5 minutes after walking in the door with it. My kids were disappointed and I'm pissed. A few weeks ago while having some out of town guest over for a night of fun and drinks we ordered pizza from Giordano's. When we ordered we told the wait would be an hour and a half for delivery. We were all having an amazing time talking and catching up, so the wait time didn't matter. However, after the advised time came and went, I called to check on the status, because drinking on an empty stomach could turn south quickly. If you know what mean. . When I called I was told that the driver forgot the wings and had to return back to the store to get them. 35 minutes later the pizza arrive cold and over cooked. After selling how much better Chicago style pizza was than everything else, I was completely embarrassed by the product that Giordano's presented my guess and I. At this point it was nearly 10 pm my guess were drunk and didn't give s**t what they were eating. I called the store and spoke with the lady tending the phone, but was told the manager was not available and that she was only authorized to give me a $10 credit. I agreed to the credit but advised that I did not think it was enough after spending nearly $100 on their sub par product. I called the next day and spoke with the manager who agreed to give me a credit total of $20 dollars towards a future purchase which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. The people involved didn't seem to care much about my complaints and seemed to just want me to go away, in which they have succeeded. 2 weeks ago I went in and used my $20 credit because my brother in law was in town and he insisted on Giordano's, however that will be my last time patronizing this establishment. read more

Order made 158 pm. I was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. The receipt shows I paid at 256 pm, so almost an hour like I was told. I walked out of the resturant at 315pm with my pizzas. So maybe you should tell you customers 1 hour and 15 minutes l???!!! The I get home and the pizza isn't even cut all the way through, I have to cut it myself. Poor customer service!! The person that answered the phone, Leslie, was rude and short tempered. The manager, Jesus, was non responsive when I complained about Leslie. I have been patronizing Giordano's for over 20 years and I have never had a pizza have black stuff all over the crust that my hands looked like charcoal were on them. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Jesus and explained that I was not happy with the pizza. He advised that he could only give me a credit if I returned the pizza. I advised him that I lived in Calumet City and that it was an inconvenience for me to bring the pizza back to 97th & Western. He stated he would give me an free appetizer for the inconvenience.
