damn i can't lie bro. the matcha i ordered was pretty buns. it was basically straight sugar ngl. i only asked for one pump of sugar free vanilla syrup but it felt like 5 pumps of sugar full vanilla syrup. there was no matcha flavor to it either man. atleast the service was pretty quick tho. a lot of ppl waiting for drinks but they still got the drinks out very quick

We stopped by Gino's Java for a quick coffee break and ordered two cappuccinos -- unfortunately, this was one of those rare cases when the coffee just didn't hit the mark. The flavor wasn't pleasant, and we barely finished our drinks. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a quality cup of coffee, this might not be the best choice. BUT -- there are definitely good things worth mentioning. The outdoor seating is shaded and surrounded by greenery, which creates a refreshing, calm vibe -- a great place to sit and relax away from the city buzz. The woman at the counter was very friendly and attentive, and we noticed a steady flow of customers -- not for coffee, but for food. That says a lot. We didn't try the food, so we can't give a full review, but seeing how many people were dining -- it seems like the food here might be the real star. Also worth noting: the cappuccino was only $4.75, which is lower than many other places in town. So, while we wouldn't come back for the coffee, we might stop by again to give the food a try, and we definitely appreciate the nice setting and welcoming service. NOT RECOMMENDED for coffee, but POSSIBLY worth trying for food. ( )

Gino's is a good reliable place for coffee and a bite to eat. They have sandwiches, salads, soups and coffee to offer. They have a wide variety to choose from when it comes to coffee and the lady upfront is quick with getting those orders out but lunch time is pretty packed. Food does take awhile but it's made fresh and quite good. No indoor seating but they do have tables and chairs available outside. It's a good grab and go place.

Though I wish I could say I've tried more menu items, so far it's just been the morning special breakfast bagel: bagel of your choice (I always opt for the everything!), cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, red onion + sprouts. Ok, I digress- I did try the steak breakfast burrito ONCE, and it was delicious... but there's just something so fresh and crave-able about the Morning special w/ one of Gino's seasonal specialty coffee drinks. I'm hooked!

Once your selections are made place the paper on a small black plate at the end of the counter right next to where you filled out order sheet. I usually go with a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich with pepper jack for the cheese. They have all of the usual fixings expected at a deli shop. Just circle what you want and wait for them to call your name. What made the sandwich stand out was the generous portion size and the fresh bread. The Dutch crunch actually crunched!!! They have tables and chairs outside to the left of the entrance to sit and eat. The store opened in 1947 and the food was excellent. Will most definitely be back when I am in the town!!

Were these chips hand-carved by artisans somewhere? Blessed by monks in the moonlight? I'm genuinely curious. I ordered the club, and I swear there was maybe one slice of turkey and a single, lonely piece of lettuce in the entire thing. The bun, however, was enormous, so the overall experience was like eating a fluffy bread pillow with a whisper of sandwich somewhere in the middle. Honestly, the sandwich felt a bit like a mime, the idea of a sandwich was there, but the substance was invisible. I even wondered if maybe the fillings weren't hungry themselves. By the end I felt less like I had eaten lunch and more like I had participated in a sandwich-themed illusion. Sadly, it looks like I'm Togo's-bound from here on out. I always root for unique local spots, but this felt more like a "Shamwich" than a sandwich. Tough times when the hungry leave hungry. Poor sand-wich-ship indeed.

They open at noon instead of being open when I was ready after church My husband and I walked up a couple blocks, looked at all the different restaurants, and I've seen this sandwich spot many times, but I've never tried it My husband said it was catered at his work one time, but it was the cold cuts and he said he liked it However, I walked in like the inside it was clean. I needed to use the restroom. The only thing I would say is the music in there is extremely loud in the bathroom that is. They only have one restroom, so hopefully you don't go with the group of people and everybody needs to use the restroom at once For both of us to eat it was about $30. I did get chips and a soda with mine. My husband just got the sandwich I got the. "The Damon Bruce" holy moly. This was so delicious. I only eat 1/2 brought the other half home. My brother was here and he ate it and he said it was so good too so it comes with onion ring steak and they ask you if you want to put any vegetable vegetables in there so I added the tomato the lettuce and I also wanted red onion in it. Let me tell you this is my new favorite sandwich place. I'm a little bummed that there's not one in Natomas! However, I'm really glad to know this place exist.. My husband got a steak sandwich. I don't know the name of it. He said he has never had a hot sandwich before and it was so good. He doesn't give vegetables and stuff, but he did get jalapeños in his and I seen him scarf it down so he must've loved it. They got barbecue chips ate a few of them. Their bags are a little bit different, but it was good. They didn't have root beer for soda that's my only downfall. It's one of my favorite drinks however I shouldn't be drinking soda anyways, but I did have Pepsi. This made for a great afternoon after church and I will make this one of my regular stops every month The only thing that was negative was the music being too loud in the bathroom and the girl that handed me the bag of the food, but I've learned that teenagers young people these days they are not like we used to be when we were young so it's kind of like just a handoff and I don't wanna say it was rude because I think this is just how teenagers are these days. 10/10 say you must try!

I'm likely in the minority in my opinion, but bear with me. I'm torn between a 3 and a 4, and…read moresticking with a 3 because this shop just didn't measure up ... to me. For starters, Ike's has its own way of doing things: plain mayo is not their thing. Only way to get plain mayo on a sandwich is to get lucky that there's a smidgen still left in a jar in the fridge after they prepare their house spread. They mix GARLIC and gawd knows what else for spices to make their Ike's sauce, so allergies beware. They offer plain mustard, but not plain mayo? For seconds, the sandwich bread is not up to the challenge of holding together the mountain of fillings inside. Pics prove my point. I want to eat a sandwich with my hands, not a plastic fork (or a shovel). And I don't want to wear it, not in public. Proportions, people! One size does not fit all. Now, in fairness, the meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato were fresh, chilled, and flavorful. However, IMHO $2.00+ to add equivalent of half an avocado is robbery when a whole avocado is $1 in the market. Fortunately I arrived when there wasn't another person in the store so I was able order up a plain ham and cheese sub with L, T, and A. The counter person was patient as I attempted to navigate the menu board. I communicated my wish for a simple sandwich and it arrived, albeit ridiculously overstuffed and above my budget expectations. Props for kindness and understanding. My first visit to any shop is always testing how well they do basics. So far, I'm not an Ike's fan. I'm no newcomer to sub sandwiches. At 82, and being a Massachusetts native, I've been a sub girl for at least 75 years, ever since I could wrap my fingers around the perfect sub roll. For more adventurous sandwich people, go for broke! This is your place!
