I went here with 2 other people for breakfast. We ordered omelets and crepes. I got a banana nutella crepe with eggs and bacon and potatoes on the side. The crêpes come by themselves they charge you extra if you decide to add anything else to your order with the crêpe, which is unacceptable because why would they charge that much? Also, the crêpes were nine dollars each, what a waste of money. The crêpes were not good. They did not have enough filling. The bananas were soggy. It was slightly crispy on the edge so that was probably the only part of it that I liked. Also, the eggs I ordered were cold, and tasted like they were microwaved. The bacon was chewy, and also cold. The potatoes tasted like they had sand in them. They crunched in your mouth in a way that you wouldn't like. From what I heard from the others i came here with, the omelettes were also very bad. They were undercooked and soggy, not worth eating. It was also very loud inside the restaurant. I could barely hear the cashier, and I have no idea what she was saying. They charged us so much for adding extra stuff to our food because the crêpes don't come with anything else. The tables are tiny outside, and they're also not clean. The chairs are low quality. Over the last 20 years, my friends and I have been to many different local eateries. I can't believe we had not yet visited Crepeville! We arrived around 11:30 on a Saturday morning. It was not super busy outside so we chose to sit at one of the outdoor picnic tables. Three of the four of us went in to order. The line wasn't bad, so that process wasn't terrible. We did have to wait longer than we thought we would have, but we were very pleased with our orders! The Chicken Curry Crepe was flavorful and a great portion size. After ordering, they grabbed a number and led us to a table where we sat and waited for my crepe. My friend noticed that other tables had water brought to them, whereas we didn't. Also when we got our crepe, we didn't get any utensils so I had to go up to the register to ask, and they pointed where the utensils were. I can see how the workers come off as rude. I am giving Crepeville a 1-star review based on the customer service. I ended up at Crepeville on L Street only because both Sunny Side Breakfast and Kitchen 15 had over a 30-minute wait. Unfortunately, I wish I had waited. I ordered the eggs benedict and politely asked for the avocado to be placed on the side, as I was sharing with a friend who has an aversion to avocado. The person taking my order--who I believe was the owner--looked at me and flatly said, "No." I asked if she was serious, and she gave a smirk that I assumed was a failed attempt at humor. When my food arrived, the avocado was tucked under the poached egg. I went back to the counter to explain the issue, and the owner told me that removing the avocado would require remaking the dish--and that it would cost extra. I reiterated that I had clearly asked for it on the side, and she told me I could just scrape it off myself. To top it off, the table next to us mentioned they had been waiting over 30 minutes for their food. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable. i've eaten here a countless of times, the service was alright but I normally don't talk to them unless i'm ordering my food. They are kind of rude at times whenever I ask for some napkins or more utensils, like as if i'm asking them to do a big task. But the girls who serve me are teens so I don't expect much from them. It has been over a decade since I last visited Crepeville; therefore, I was excited when two of my friends/colleagues suggested that we meet there for a late breakfast. Upon walking into the establishment, we were greeted by a very friendly employee. As the line quickly grew behind us, she swiftly took our orders and we found a table outside to sit. Less than ten minutes later my tuna melt with breakfast potatoes arrived fresh and ready for consumption. The tuna melt and breakfast potatoes were good and satisfied my craving at the moment. If I'm being honest, I'm not quite sure if I need to make a return visit. The customer service is great, but I wasn't blown out of my seat by the food itself. I typically get the Greek Delight crepe with mushrooms swapped for garlic (I'm not a mushroom fan lol). I also get it with salad, but at times do potatoes (depends how hungry I am). Crepeville is the perfect restaurant to take parents or other picky eaters. They have crepes, sandwiches, omelettes, and more... there is something for everybody! And the service is fantastic! My last visit this month was a little less stellar than usual: the Mexican Hot Chocolate had no cinnamon stick and when I asked for one, it was too short to sit in the glass.
