Always very fast service. I have come many mornings for coffee and I never have to wait more than a few minutes. For breakfast, you have a choice of bagels & pastries. For lunch, I love the Siciliano hot sandwich- always very hot and fresh. There is a choice of hot & cold sandwiches, soups, and salads. When I have a craving for some coffee and I'm too lazy to walk my ass to SB, I make my way to Gino's for my regular drink: a triple Americano with a shot of peppermint flavor. The coffee here is very good and they serve breakfast and lunch, but have not had a chance to sample it yet, but the food options seem decent. the mexican mocha keeps me a loyal customer. the bagels are habit-forming. they are huge and they give you two containers of cream cheese. i've had their turkey/bacon/avocado and vegetarian sandwiches. very yum. the vegetarian had sprouts, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and a cheese spread. simple and delicious. i didn't care about the grilled cheese...but why i ordered that...no idea. it was the mexican mocha who made me order it! read more

They offer a good selection of coffees, iced coffees, mochas, chia teas, lattes, etc. They also offer many different types of sandwiches; tuna, veggie, and their grilled cheese is AMAZING. I always go for their Mexican Mochas, but their lunches are also wonderful. I got the half sandwich, half salad, with the Italian chopped salad (wonderful, and the small size was plenty). For the sandwich, I picked the grilled cheese. It was probably the best grilled cheese I've ever had - one half is huge because it's on foccacia bread and grilled like a panini. Three kinds of cheese and a tomato make it special. One star off because the grilled cheese is $1 more than meat sandwiches (why?) so the half salad and half sandwich was too pricey at $9 out the door. I finally tried their lunch the other day - the house salad was pretty simple (just romaine, walnuts, and feta), but for less than $4.00 it was a good deal and surprisingly large. I absolutely just LOVE this place! The ladies here provide the BEST customer service, their coffee is so flavorful (better than Starbucks), and their food is so simple but so delicious! I highly recommend their white mocha's for a coffee, a morning special for breakfast, and either a vegetarian or tuna sandwich for lunch. I work nearby and get off the light rail down the street. I come here all the time on my way to work and it's pretty solid. My iced chai tea latte is always good. Sometimesthey run out of things and that always sucks, but they always have another suggestion for you. This place is always packed. The only negative is that it takes a while for sandwiches, particularly breakfast sandwiches, take a while to be made because they're made fresh. The baristas are nice, I don't know where people are getting an attitude from. I don't know her name but she had a thick accent and she always has on a pink shirt on under her apron. She's very nice and has even remembered some of the regular customers' orders. I'll keep going to Gino's, especially since there's no Starbucks around. read more

I've only been at lunchtime, and their food is good and they get it out really quickly. A little expensive, but only a little, and it's a small sandwich/coffee shop so what do you expect. The decent: their morning special (choice bagel, cream cheese, sprouts, tomato, and cucumber) and the chicken panini. I come here because it is the close to work. The service isn't horrible but it isn't warm and friendly. A smile doesn't always come with the order. I'm not a fan of their mochas. Way too sweet. They use chocolate milk instead of pumps of chocolate syrup to make their mochas. So the only way to offset the sweetness of the chocolate is to add more espresso. Maybe I'm too cheap to pay for that extra shot of espresso... The house coffee is decent. I wouldn't come here for the food or the coffee. It's location, location, location. read more

I guess I'll be an outsider and disagree with the few haters...I work down the street and discovered this place 5 years ago...The coffee is very good(A big plus is that it's strong and all organic), the espresso drinks are fantastic and the food has always been fresh and tasty...The only time it took 15 minutes or more was because the line was out the door and they only had 3 people working(The place is small)...The employees are always friendly, sometimes a little short but it's busy...Very nice outdoor patio... Almost forgot, prices are very reasonable, probably the cheapest downtown. read more

Gino's is conveniently located downtown near the Capitol and their outdoor patio area provides a wonderful atmosphere to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or a morning or midday meal. All of the food options on the menu are really good and prepared with fresh healthy ingredients. The "morning special" is a particular favorite of mine. I stop here two or three times a week for a morning coffee or an afternoon pick me up. For me personally, getting an espresso and a croissant at Gino's is the closest thing to sitting at an outdoor Italian coffee shop that I will likely ever find in Sacramento. read more

. I work in the BOE building so it's easy to walk to. I usually get a chicken panini which is ok. Mochas/coffee rate as good as am/pm coffees and straight outta machine fake mochas. The reason I would not give 4 or possibly 5 star is that lady that works there is such a rude nasty unfriendly ugly person! She's short with you when you order and has no problem giving the impression that by you being there you're a nuisance and a god damn bother to patron her establishment. Well, by the dirty filthy state of the store front she's not busy cleaning so what could I possibly be interrupting by ordering a $12 sandwich/drink is my question. So I try to order by phone in advance to be less of an inconvenience, you know, by paying her salary and all. "Gino's!!!" "Hello I would like an order for pick up" "what do you want?" I have been going to Gino's for several years. The coffee is decent and the food is decent too. I keep returning to Ginos because of convenience (right behind my work). HOWEVER, the two girls that work there, shouldn't! They do not have customer service skills nor do they know how to work with people. They are very dry and at times short with you. The blonde needs to seriously work on her people skills. She is rude and seems to never be friendly. If I were Gino I would rehire new girls with great customer service skills. He would see happier customers and more clientele. read more

I work around the corner from here on Qst! I'm not a fan of my works Chocolate Fish coffee beside our building, so when I crave some coffee I LOVE taking a short walk here with my coworkers to get some coffee. The location is really nice and cute, and super easy to find/get to! The staff inside is always the same few people and they're very very kind people and extremely fast at getting your drinks to you! Literally not even a minute to get your coffee! I get a Carmel iced coffee and spend $2 and it's heaven- so creamy and perfectly balanced with sweet and strong flavors. They also have teas and Italian sodas that my friends have ordered and love getting! As well as several treats to pick from!! I love this place and so happy it's a location near my work that I can enjoy with my friends and coworkers! read more

I have been drinking iced coffee from Gino's for over a year now and never thought to yelp about it. surprised that some of the ratings are in the 2 and 3 range though. I trust Gino's more than any other place for my morning cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Then I return for lunch, and spend my lunch hour there, I would probably be there for dinner too if they didn't close before I get off of work! The people are the most friendly within the whole downtown radius and always provide me and the morning group I walk there with great service. They are the one coffee shop I know that is even quicker than Temple too, by the time I say thank you and have a nice day to Novena while she is ringing me up, she will have already made my delicious mocha and have it ready to go !
