The vegan pizza here was delicious! Officially one of the best I've had! Hubby and I split a pizza but we had 2 different pizzas in one (half and half). I got a vegan margarita and he had a veggie pizza. The girls shared a small cheese pizza and I probably should have ordered them a smaller size pizza because we had plenty of leftovers. I loved my margarita pizza and he said his pizza was good too. My girls enjoyed their pizza as well. I loved that the pizza was hot and the cheese was melted perfectly on my pizza, hubby's cheese on his pizza half wasn't fully melted but it was still good. The girls ordered a lemonade and hubby and I had a beer. The only downside was that it was SO hot inside and while there is outdoor seating, it's not child safe (all barstools). They really need to keep the doors open to allow the ocean breeze. One other note, the booth by the bathroom--- you could smell the bathroom from the booth. Yuck! I tried their slice if traditional veggie pizza for the first time. It came out looking pretty but one bite and it was rather dry no tomato sauce it not much. I took a few bites snd tossed it. Only redeeming quality was music and views of people walking by for location. Not sure if I want to get a slice for 9$! read more

I genuinely thought I was being pranked when this pizza came out. The cheese wasn't even melted -- it looked like someone sprinkled it on after the pizza already gave up on life. The dough was somehow both burnt and raw at the same time, which honestly deserves an award for culinary confusion. The entire thing tasted like the pizza they used to serve in elementary school cafeterias... except somehow worse. At least the cafeteria ladies cared. The sausage topping was cold and had the texture and flavor of canned dog food left sitting in the sun. The pepperoni was sliced so thin I could practically read through it, and it tasted just as cheap as it looked. And don't even get me started on the "thin crust." Calling it crust is generous. It was a floppy grease napkin that folded over itself like it was ashamed to be served. Every slice dripped enough grease to qualify as an oil change. I came in expecting pizza and left feeling like I survived a low-budget food challenge. read more

As a local I'd like to say we love Gina's- make sure you order the ricotta balls!!! (always a win), the rasta salad is bomb, and the pizza is solid. Also, as a self proclaimed ranch connoisseur, it's delicious. If you're in the area I'd totally recommend giving Gina's a try. read more

The pizza was hot and delicious. The house salad was a perfect with the Italian and ranch dressings. The pizza with onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, jalapeño and cheese cut into squares with an extra extra thin crust just hit the spot and reminds me of the pizza in Chicago. Gina's has always been a staple in the Laguna Beach pizza scene - and they have a strong following amongst locals. Unfortunately, in 2025, their pizza really doesn't compete. It's way too doughy, and there's nothing special about the sauce. Topping quality is decent, but that doesn't make up for an overall mediocre pie. Combine that with long lines and prices higher than the major chains. Bottom line - Gina's isn't adapting to the times, and is slowly falling behind the rest of the OC pizza scene. read more

As a lifelong denizen of Laguna Beach, I've passed Gina's Pizza thousands of times, always thinking I should give it a try. The name echoes Gino's East, which at least implies some ambition toward richness, indulgence, or basic self-respect. What I got instead was astonishingly, impressively bad. This was not merely poor pizza. It felt like an argument against pizza as a concept. Without exaggeration, it is the worst I've ever paid for. It tasted as though it had been extracted from a freezer box and reheated. The crust had the flavor profile of stale cardboard, managing the rare feat of being both stale and vaguely freezer-burned. The sauce contributed a red hue and nothing else. And the cheese, if we're being charitable enough to call it that, refused to melt, instead clinging to the surface like a synthetic afterthought. I don't eat pizza often, which makes this less a disappointment than a squandered occasion. One hopes, at minimum, for competence. This missed even that low bar. Paying for it was an act of self-betrayal. I genuinely don't understand how this place stays in business. read more

Pizza is delicious here! The crust is crispy and the toppings are plentiful. My son and I shared a small Alfredo pizza and it was so good! It was like eating pasta on pizza. The wait time was not bad, even though they were busy. The restaurant location is very small and seating is limited, but we were able to score a seat over looking the ocean. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for some good pizza by the beach! read more

I ordered bruschetta and was absolutely NOT bruschetta just a bowl of cherry tomatoes, then the regular salad had like 4 pieces of lettuce but two giant spoon fulls of garbanzo beans. Then the XL pizza was burnt and had zero flavor. The service wasn't welcoming or even happy, they're super bothered by us asking for ranch. The best part; you can order your own custom slice!!! I got eggplant+jalapeno. I wish the eggplant had been more flavorful, but I really liked the crust. Service was friendly and quick. Outdoor patio + indoor seating. You can't really see the water but it's only a hop away. read more

This place hit the spot after a long day at the beach- we were craving pizza and this place is great since you can do a custom slice either building your own, or a slice of one of their specialty pizzas. Everything is made to order. The price is great for some fresh good pizza, and I love that we were able to just get a slice instead of a whole pizza. They also have happy hour too. The workers were very kind here, and our favorite thing was definitely the ricotta balls. It was interesting I got the Maui Mamma (their version of Hawaiian pizza with bacon, Canadian bacon, and pineapple) and the toppings were under the cheese but it was still good! Food was ok. Service was terrible. I didn't know you needed a code for the bathroom since the keypad is hidden on the doorknob. I saw an older man and asked nicely what the code was. Before I could even finish my question, he cuts me off with saying the code in a rude tone and walks away without even looking at me. They have vegan cheese pizza! I was so excited about it, I would say it was good but doesn't compare to some other places I've had. We also got Spaghetti and meatballs which were pretty good. The Veggie Sandwich on Focaccia bread is the best tasting sandwich I have recently! Made with all the veggies: mushrooms, tomatoes, green bell peppers, olives, onions! Not my best experience in regard to service, their system was down when I arrived to pick up my food after ordering it at least 30 min before over the phone... we had plans with my kids and husband to watch the sunset and eat pizza... well, there's was no empathy, the food was ready and they didn't want to give it to me, I promised I would go back after the sunset and pay, all I got was bad attitude and a no, nobody was communicating what was going on... it's really hard to complain now a days because you get labeled as a "Karen". Food was delicious. I got the classic pepperoni pizza and my bf got the house special. I would compare that to any supreme pizza but made with love. Big fan of the thin crust slices Service was beyond great. Recommend items he thought we would like and we got our food brought out to us. On our way out we asked where we can buy a 6 back of the beer they had on tap and he gave us one of their glass cups so my bf can really enjoy his beer in a proper glass. Mama mia what a wonderful surprise in Newport ! They have a sign that says voted best pizza on the door so we had to try !!! Let's go !! Salad was fresh and delicious. The pizza was one of the best pies I've ever had !!!! So good it makes you laugh. Needed some ranch but that's just me ! The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were cleaned. I see reviews about a lot of little things that don't affect the quality of this restaurant. And to honest we ordered to take left overs to the hotel and eat it all. So delicious.
