Had the best churros of my life, and a phenomenal burrito here. Amazing and friendly staff, casual, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. Fresh, hot, and great portions of everything. I got the Cali burrito and enjoyed every bite :-) the steak was perfectly cooked, and the flavours all worked so well together. The salsa verde was perfect, and I wish I could buy some to take home with me. A must-go spot if you're in Laguna!

This taco stand has a lot going for it! I appreciate the limes, salsas etc being self serve off to the side. That's perfection to me! The tacos were delicious! Seating is a bit cramped, they could ditch a few tables to make it more comfortable but we overall loved this taco stand! It's very loud which was fine for us, but skip with small kids who get overwhelmed with loud places. Get the chips and guacamole, and try out all the salsas at the self serve bar!

The Taco Stand is such a must try spot!! Parking is limited and so is seating. It's always crowded with a long line from when we have gone. BUT let me tell you that's it's definitely worth trying. There is a reason the line is long. The tacos are amazing , fresh, and delicious. You can even watch them making them which is fun and passes the time. The Al Pastor taco you have to try ! It's a small place with some outdoor seating and lots of staff. We also recommend the churros which are thick and not crunchy. It's sooo good and we will be coming back

I always thought this was more of a white person kind of place but you know it's not too shabby. It's actually the perfect spot to have at Laguna beach. The lines can get long but they do go by quick, also seating is kind of limited. We got the carne asada burrito, grilled chicken taco, and shrimp taco, and grilled fish taco. All in all, some pretty flavorful tacos. It's more on the chill shack vibes so it's perfect to just chill and grab some food here.

I love tacos & these were amaze balls! Service wasn't anything to write home about but the food makes this well over 5 stars! We went big...burritos, tacos, guac, chips, anything on the menu, we ordered it! And the only picture is of the darn menu! The food was enjoyed so much that I didn't get one picture! So go get it to see for yourself:) The only things that were not greatest...parking is challenging, always a line (because of the good food), limited seating area & crowded/hard to get salsa bar. But worth the challenge. Try this restaurant.

First time here and I'm a huge fan now!! We arrived at 1:40. They have plenty of help and you could see many orders to go. By the time we left, the place was pretty full. The service was wonderful. We didn't wait more than 8 minutes for our hot, delicious food! It was so good we just dug right in and forgot to take pictures. All the pics on the reviews will show you how amazing the food is. I had the best fish taco ever! Plenty of fresh, hot crispy fish. The tortillas are so yummy! My husband had the carne asada taco and a pollo taco. The carne asada is the best ever! Very juicy and tender. He liked that taco the best. All made fresh to order. Nothing had been sitting around waiting to be put in the tacos. My husband said the guacamole was outstanding. We loved their salsa bar. So many choices including fresh limes and a chipotle crema. Mmmmmmmmm!! I went on line to see if there were other locations and I was thrilled to discover they are located in many of the places I visit. Can't wait to try other locations. On top of all these good points, their prices are excellent!! What a rare find now a days. High quaitly, fresh food, made to order at a good price. Wow! You must try The Taco stand!!

There's a small parking lot and street parking available. The food was good and affordable. The Baja fish is mostly batter and very little fish. The spicy shrimp taco was good. The burritos are big sizes and very filling. I like the self service salsa bar, but I noticed people took a long time to get their salsas and it held up the wait.

Always a long line, locals and visitors alike, this joint is legit! Having grown up eating street tacos & burritos in LA my whole life, I consider myself a good judge when it comes to Cali-Mex food. I honestly want expecting much, especially in Laguna Beach...I was wrong. The Taco Stand is legit. Their Cali burrito, which consists of your choice of meat along with guacamole, fires, and normal burrito fixins, it always hits the spot. Be prepared to grip this burrito with 2 hands cuz it's big & heavy! For light eaters, definitely can share. AND, for only $10.81...I know, odd price, you get so much bang for the dollar, which is hard to find now when an $18 burrito is common place. The sauce bar offers cilantro sauce, which is creamy and my favorite, a chipotle sauce, and pickled onions & jalepenos. I always order the same thing so I can't comment on their tacos, but would fully expect them to be just as delicious. Seating and parking can be challenging, particularly when crowded. Would highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this place when our usual Laguna taco spot was closed, and quickly realized it was the exact place we had been hearing about for months. So I am not exaggerating when I say fate brought us here us here! The chill vibe was perfect for us, and the food did not disappoint. Good people and great service sealed the deal ... we already can't wait to go back! Here's what we got: - Carne asada burrito - Mar y tierra (surf & turf) burrito - Mushroom taco - Camaron (spicy shrimp) taco - Pollo asado (grilled chicken) taco - Corn on the cob - Churros - they are actually perfect! Literal rave reviews from everyone, even our very picky 15 year old. They did not miss! Wish we got more photos, but we were grubbin ... hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Tacos: 4.25 out of 5 Ordered 3 tacos (spicy shrimp, pollo asado, & carne asada). Fresh tortilla, well seasoned, & cooked well. I enjoyed the shrimp & asada the most. Service: 3.5 out of 5 Waited over 25 mins for tacos during the lunch hour. Management should really consider hiring more employees to handle both the in store & take out orders Environment: 4 out of 5 Fast casual taco spot. Overall: 4 out of 5 The fresh tortilla is a huge selling point. Beware you may have a long wait.

Glad to see The Taco Stand has multiple locations. I love the food and it makes it very convenient. The burritos aren't stuffed with beans and rice like most Mexican restaurants. The price is also amazing. It's a small parking lot, but cars are usually coming and going frequently. The California burrito and the Mar Y Tierra which are my favorites. Their food is the closest I can get to the ones in San Diego (since that was their initial location). Service is fast and there's some seating outside so I could sit outside with my dog. Definitely coming again!

The Taco Stand has multiple locations in Orange County, and they have been around for a while, so I finally got around to trying it. The Laguna Beach location has a small parking lot, and there's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. It's not the cleanest seating area, but it gets the job done. The prices are very fair, especially for the area. We ordered the Pescado burrito and the California burrito. My husband enjoyed his California burrito, but I was quite disappointed in my Pescado burrito. There was fish at the top and bottom of the burrito, but the entire middle was full of cabbage. Additionally, all of the sauce sunk to the bottom, so it was pretty tasteless until I was almost done eating it. They really need to distribute the fillings better throughout the burrito. Based on my experience, I would not come back.

I was staying at a nearby hotel. As a convenience, I decided to give "The Taco Stand" a try. I ordered the carne asada burrito. This was my first experience with brand, so I ordered it without customization. Per the menu description, it's "flame grilled angus steak (angus beef), guacamole, beans, tomato and salsa". It cost a little under $10.50. Per their website, The Taco Stand is a small chain of restaurants, with 16 locations scattered across the United States (CA, NV, TX & FL). I think this helps explain the taste. The positive is the steak was very good. It was marinated well; it was tender, while still providing a nice chewing experience. Otherwise, the burrito's overall taste was mild--almost bland. I suspect because they operate in different markets, they are trying to appeal to the greatest common denominator. Their salsa bar allows the diner to ultimately determine the taste. In California, we have access to so many styles of Mexican cooking. The Taco Stand's taste profile (for the burrito) isn't particularly distinct; but it is a safe choice, especially if you do not like strong flavors, or if spicy food irritates your stomach. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining. The indoor dining is nice; the outdoor dining is nice, too. The only share I have about outdoor dining here is that the restaurant sits at an intersection, with a signal light. There are people who cruise PCH on motorcycles with loud exhausts. If you dislike this sort of noise pollution, eat inside.

Sliced Steak & Potato Salad was a nice portion of sliced steak, a decent warm potato salad, and a great side salad. I can't remember if that was one of her side options, but it was a solid choice. Steak was ordered medium rare and it was definitely all rare - but edible. Sometimes it's not a good option to send it back. Fear of over cook. Blackened Halibut Sandwich was my choice and the fresh tasting halibut was cooked to perfection. I would go lighter on the blackened seasoning next time and skip the non-crispy onions straws. Love those but most definitely they were prepped long before we got there. Minor culinary issue as the halibut sandwich was a delicious combo of fresh ingredients that I had to deconstruct so I could manage to eat it. I think only a mega shark could take a bite of this sandwich as it was meant to be built! So it nicely transformed into a Blackened Halibut Salad plate with a highly recommended crispy Caesar salad for the side. I enjoyed every bite. I would go here again. Service was courteous and prompt, and our food was served on the spot. We were too full to try their recommended warm butter cake. Next time it's Brussel sprouts and desert! Well, maybe a side of a self-deconstructed Halibut Sandwich.
