    California burrito

Was hungry after checking out sum beaches and LOVE this chain. Idk what it is but this is the best Cali burrito I've had. It's consistent and you can't go wrong here. Me n my bfs go to so far for a good burrito!!

The pictures looked good decided to try this but this place gave us food poisoning. When I got there it was around 2:30 pm and it was busy. The staff were friendly. It took 20 minutes to get my order. I got an al pastor burrito it just comes with meat and onion and cilantro and my brother got a carne asada burrito and added beans and rice. I should've added beans and rice for the extra charge but didn't. The bathrooms were dirty and the drink they only have two sizes and the bigger one is more like a medium size so not worth it. Overall not good, won't be returning.

Had the best churros of my life, and a phenomenal burrito here. Amazing and friendly staff, casual, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. Fresh, hot, and great portions of everything. I got the Cali burrito and enjoyed every bite :-) the steak was perfectly cooked, and the flavours all worked so well together. The salsa verde was perfect, and I wish I could buy some to take home with me. A must-go spot if you're in Laguna!

This taco stand has a lot going for it! I appreciate the limes, salsas etc being self serve off to the side. That's perfection to me! The tacos were delicious! Seating is a bit cramped, they could ditch a few tables to make it more comfortable but we overall loved this taco stand! It's very loud which was fine for us, but skip with small kids who get overwhelmed with loud places. Get the chips and guacamole, and try out all the salsas at the self serve bar!

There's a small parking lot and street parking available. The food was good and affordable. The Baja fish is mostly batter and very little fish. The spicy shrimp taco was good. The burritos are big sizes and very filling. I like the self service salsa bar, but I noticed people took a long time to get their salsas and it held up the wait.

I love tacos & these were amaze balls! Service wasn't anything to write home about but the food makes this well over 5 stars! We went big...burritos, tacos, guac, chips, anything on the menu, we ordered it! And the only picture is of the darn menu! The food was enjoyed so much that I didn't get one picture! So go get it to see for yourself:) The only things that were not greatest...parking is challenging, always a line (because of the good food), limited seating area & crowded/hard to get salsa bar. But worth the challenge. Try this restaurant.

The Taco Stand is such a must try spot!! Parking is limited and so is seating. It's always crowded with a long line from when we have gone. BUT let me tell you that's it's definitely worth trying. There is a reason the line is long. The tacos are amazing , fresh, and delicious. You can even watch them making them which is fun and passes the time. The Al Pastor taco you have to try ! It's a small place with some outdoor seating and lots of staff. We also recommend the churros which are thick and not crunchy. It's sooo good and we will be coming back

Always a long line, locals and visitors alike, this joint is legit! Having grown up eating street tacos & burritos in LA my whole life, I consider myself a good judge when it comes to Cali-Mex food. I honestly want expecting much, especially in Laguna Beach...I was wrong. The Taco Stand is legit. Their Cali burrito, which consists of your choice of meat along with guacamole, fires, and normal burrito fixins, it always hits the spot. Be prepared to grip this burrito with 2 hands cuz it's big & heavy! For light eaters, definitely can share. AND, for only $10.81...I know, odd price, you get so much bang for the dollar, which is hard to find now when an $18 burrito is common place. The sauce bar offers cilantro sauce, which is creamy and my favorite, a chipotle sauce, and pickled onions & jalepenos. I always order the same thing so I can't comment on their tacos, but would fully expect them to be just as delicious. Seating and parking can be challenging, particularly when crowded. Would highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this place when our usual Laguna taco spot was closed, and quickly realized it was the exact place we had been hearing about for months. So I am not exaggerating when I say fate brought us here us here! The chill vibe was perfect for us, and the food did not disappoint. Good people and great service sealed the deal ... we already can't wait to go back! Here's what we got: - Carne asada burrito - Mar y tierra (surf & turf) burrito - Mushroom taco - Camaron (spicy shrimp) taco - Pollo asado (grilled chicken) taco - Corn on the cob - Churros - they are actually perfect! Literal rave reviews from everyone, even our very picky 15 year old. They did not miss! Wish we got more photos, but we were grubbin ... hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Tacos: 4.25 out of 5 Ordered 3 tacos (spicy shrimp, pollo asado, & carne asada). Fresh tortilla, well seasoned, & cooked well. I enjoyed the shrimp & asada the most. Service: 3.5 out of 5 Waited over 25 mins for tacos during the lunch hour. Management should really consider hiring more employees to handle both the in store & take out orders Environment: 4 out of 5 Fast casual taco spot. Overall: 4 out of 5 The fresh tortilla is a huge selling point. Beware you may have a long wait.

Glad to see The Taco Stand has multiple locations. I love the food and it makes it very convenient. The burritos aren't stuffed with beans and rice like most Mexican restaurants. The price is also amazing. It's a small parking lot, but cars are usually coming and going frequently. The California burrito and the Mar Y Tierra which are my favorites. Their food is the closest I can get to the ones in San Diego (since that was their initial location). Service is fast and there's some seating outside so I could sit outside with my dog. Definitely coming again!

I always thought this was more of a white person kind of place but you know it's not too shabby. It's actually the perfect spot to have at Laguna beach. The lines can get long but they do go by quick, also seating is kind of limited. We got the carne asada burrito, grilled chicken taco, and shrimp taco, and grilled fish taco. All in all, some pretty flavorful tacos. It's more on the chill shack vibes so it's perfect to just chill and grab some food here.

You guys are a fine tuned well oiled machine... Zuri & Raul! The line was out the door, but yet you guys kept your cool placing orders and preparing food. I use to drive to La Jolla to eat here, I'm so glad you guys came closer to my hood! Great Mexican food spot!

Very good tacos and the loaded fries were incredible! The place packs in the crowds, and I can see why. Seafood tacos were my favorite.

Would 100% come back. That said, I'd admit, a certain DTLA Michelin restaurant has set my expectations of south of border seafood cuisine a bit too high (starts with H) so I'll try to be reasonable. Also the items picked were surprisingly huge and i was too full to finish my meal. 9/10 The chips tasted delicious, bean dip was something new and delicious, salsa was fresh and bold, and the roasted pepper salsa was surprisingly not too spicy, really good. 8/10 trio de cheviche. Good assortment and size of the dish. Shrimp was ok, I felt it was missing something, octopus was good, my personal favorite was the marinaded tuna. 8/10 seafood chile relleno, not a bad assortment, sides were good, large portions of food. 10/10 Coco rita, this margarita is definitely something different! And pairs with everything amazingly, I love it, and this is coming from someone who normally hates coconut. 9/10 they brought out this chocolate cake I dont see on the menu but they will if it's your birthday, but in my case to celebrate my new engagement. Super moist. The place is really loud ambient wise when busy which was around 8pm which is normal of any popular place but after near closing around 9:30 is pretty quiet and casual on a Sunday. Total bill after a 21% tip ran me total $165 and I had leftovers. Free chips, 1 large giant appetizer, and 1 large entree could potentially feed 3 people if you don't eat a lot. If you don't wanna have leftovers, go easy on the chips but that's gonna be hard.

Despite how busy they were, the service was excellent. Drinks and appetizers arrived within minutes of ordering, and the staff did a great job keeping up with our large group. The unlimited chips and salsa were dangerously good. I always tell myself I'll stop after a few chips, but somehow I never do--and this salsa was definitely the reason why! For my entrée, I ordered the three seafood enchiladas. I appreciated that the seafood flavors were bold and fresh without tasting fishy. The green sauce complemented the dish perfectly and elevated the flavors even more. I also sampled a combination plate, which was good overall, although I felt the chile relleno had a little too much cheese, making it difficult to taste the chile itself. For dessert, we couldn't decide on just one, so we ordered the chocolate cake, tres leches cake, and fried ice cream. My ranking: fried ice cream first, tres leches second, and chocolate cake third. The chocolate cake was good but similar to what you'd find at many other restaurants. The tres leches was delicious--moist without being overly milky or sweet, and the almonds added a nice texture and flavor. The fried ice cream was the standout for me. The crunchy cereal coating added great texture, and because it wasn't overly sweet, it balanced perfectly with the ice cream. Overall, this is a place I'd definitely recommend for both the food and service. Just remember: reservations, reservations, reservations!.

Also a bit overpriced considering the portion size. -Matcha Martini: Pretty disappointing. Couldn't really taste any matcha. Only tasted like a sweet and creamy cocktail. -Chilaquiles: Overall enjoyable. I liked the crispy chips. However, the servers forgot my eggs which was annoying, but they brought it out later with an additional egg. -Crispy Fried Calamari: Tasty and I liked the sauce. Calamari wasn't the greatest quality itself though. Service was pretty slow and the servers seemed to forget many details when taking orders which caused service delays wasn't optimal. The interior was decent and not dirty. For parking, there's a good amount located at and around the Pavilions parking lot. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here again. It just seemed like a standard chain restaurant. It is located walking distance from the beach though.
