Bringing in the second stop for burgers on our trip through Southern California, we happened upon lunch at a Jack in the Box location on the coastal highway right outside of Laguna Beach. What was the most surprising thing when I stepped inside of my very first Jack in the Box was the just sheer volume of variety of selection and choices. It took me several minutes of simply standing there to look at the multiple panels of menus above the register area just to process how much choice there actually was, and I eventually settled on what appeared to be a standard cheeseburger with all the regular fixins! The location was fairly quiet and nice and clean, and had Arby's from the 1980's vibes with the windowed seating area with the curved glass. If you were around for that wonderful and weird era of fast food, then you'll know exactly what I am talking about, and you can still find some fast food locations that still showcase that retro styling...kind of like the old original Pizza Huts. Everyone that we spoke to and everyone that was working was incredibly nice and extremely patient considering trying to decide on everything there was to choose from. My burger was fantastic and everyone else seemed very satisfied with their orders as well and we were able to sit out front at the outdoor tables and enjoy our quick lunch. This was the second burger that we had the opportunity to stop and have and the second time that I was impressed with the burger crafting in California. They are definitely doing something that should be emulated back east, and I am not sure why places like this and the other chains that only exist out here have not made it out by me. I really with they had. If you are visiting California, make sure you try Jack in the Box and take the same burger plunge as myself. You'll be happy you did. Zoridia Fry Index: very good. I can't believe I'm actually taking time out of my day to write a review for Jack in the Box, but here we are. The food was what you'd expect at 2 a.m., but the customer service was on a whole different level. The Hispanic lady working the night shift seemed genuinely annoyed that customers were showing up to a restaurant that's open and serving food. Every question felt like an inconvenience, and the attitude came free of charge. I've had better customer service from a self-checkout machine. Jack in the Box, if you're going to be open late, at least have employees who act like they want to be there. This experience was so bad it inspired me to write a review, and trust me, that's harder than getting fresh fries at midnight. read more

Imagine dragging yourself out at 9:30pm (September 28, 2025) only to be met with radio silence from a so-called "business." Y'all weren't closed, y'all were just standing there playing mannequin challenge with a headset in hand, staring out the window like a confused extra. If you're gonna fake being closed, at least commit to the performance, because right now you're just giving oxymoron energy. I expected way more from this location, but apparently "customer service" is a foreign language here. Do better. read more

If I could rate this jack in the box 0 stars I would. I went at 11pm on August 22 and the lady in the drive through didn't let me finish my order and just cut me off. When I went to the window to order what I didn't get to order because she was being rude she seemed annoyed at the fact that I had to add something else because of her. She seems miserable and when she would hand me my stuff I would have to lean all the way because she wouldn't hand it to me right. read more

Horrible service the food taste old and the kid at the register was very rude when I asked to use the restroom. I usually get the supreme croissant or break burrito any time of the day because it's the bomb!! But today there was a picture of the big breakfast and I was like that's a lot of food... so (see pic)... the mini pancakes are good but the protein- eggs looks like it's 2 eggs scrambled... a big platter but nothing like the picture. Oh well, now I know not to believe the pictures. Back to ordering the supreme croissant or breakfast burritos again... For lunch it's the spicy chicken w/cheese or the sourdough cheese burger which are my two favorites. But Jack does a seasonal burger from time to time and while they are for a limited time are delish!!! Can't forget the 2 tacos for $1... something about a deep fried taco is awesome with the hot sauce packets... Holy Hell, this place is disgusting! I was actually pretty excited when I saw Jack in the Box here because I had seen so many commercials for it but never knew exactly where one was (kinda like Sonic). This place mainly appealed to me because you can order breakfast from the drive-thru all day. Who doesn't like breakfast all day?! Unfortunately for me though, I have never had nastier food than the food I had here at Jack in the Box. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (on an english muffin), hash browns, and some orange strawberry smoothie. The smoothie was fantastic, too bad the food tastes like death. Let's just say that this was the first place that we stopped after arriving at LAX and driving down to San Diego for our week-long trip and it was the last time I was able to eat a full meal. As soon as I finished eating it, I was nauseous...and I was nauseous for the rest of the damn trip. I guess I was able to save money though since I couldn't eat anymore? still gagging. ordered a jumbo jack from jack n the box in Laguna beach on pch sunday 3/25. there were 3 girls working. there was one with over sized eye lashes at the register. not a people person. the lady cooking was not wearing gloves & handling all the food w long acrylic nails gloveless. she grabbed a tomato slice & threw it on the burger w no gloves & long acrylics. Stopped here at 1:45 am for a quick bite after the movies. Drive thru was open and ordered 2 value meal chicken sandwiches. Very friendly customer service and food was great and was less than $6 for the whole meal. Highly recommended stopping by for a quick bite. read more

This is the busiest Jack n the Box I have ever seen. We went there twice and the order was correct and good.

Hours are wrong. On Oct 3rd, the drive thru was not open at 6:45am despite the hours listed as being 5:30am.

Well since this establishment says they are open till 1am. But they in fact are not. Not only that I was in line for ten mins just to get to the intercom and for the woman to tell me they are closed and rudely turn me away. Insane. I've been working down the street from this place for two years and I get off work at 1130pm and they've never been closed. You're telling me the store closes at 930pm. I don't buy that. Someone from corporate needs to clean house at this location and hire people who do their job as this manager does not appear to understand the meaning of customer service let alone motivated to keep the store open during its normal hours of operation. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a review about this fast food venue as I don't eat meat burgers . I ordered their breakfast platter for $5. It was great , with hash browns , bacon , pancakes & eggs. I thought some raw onions would add some zestiness and flavor to the platter , but it was not included. As a fluke I would ask about the additional item . So I did ,, the cashier said , "wait ." So I did ,, & then beheld a lady from the back kitchen pops up at the window with a bag of raw onions especially for me . I was so surprised & grateful! The day before I spent about $40 for a one-person breakfast at the Sapphire . Of course it was good too , but I saved a bundle here at the fast food and got very nice special service too . read more

these lazy cowards decided to close their dining room 15 minutes early before the closing time. I arrive 15 minutes early before the closing time thinking I had 15 minutes to spare, and i try to open the door and they signal me to not come in, and the drive-through is only open. these lazy workers just decided they didn't feel like serving any more before 10 o'clock when they close at 10 o'clock. There was a harassment. I have a video on YouTube where an employee flipped me off. Only because my fiancé was stuck inside and I was ordering outside trying to let her out. The only way I could have them open the door was to order food so they could let her out. First of all, I really do like Jack in the Box! I come here for lunch about 4 days a week and order the same thing. The girls who work the drive though are really nice & I appreciate their friendliness. This week 2 out of 4 days I went though drive through, they did mess up my order. The first time, I wasn't to upset - mistakes happen and since I'm on my lunch break I don't have time to come back and wait again for my food to be made again. The second time, I noticed they messed up my order I called them 3 times yet nobody answered. There phone rings for about 2 minutes and hangs up on me, there is no option to leave a message. I went into the store instead of drive though today and explained the situation nicely to the manger, and he got really upset and said they would never make a mistake on a small order. . And claims they answer there phone . (I have proof I called them on my phone) It's not about the money on the food they messed up twice but that I AM on a time limit and once I get my food I don't have time to go else where and end up not being able to eat lunch. :( For now on, I will be going a little further to the Dana Point Jack in the Box. I have not experienced any issues with the Dana Point location and their mangers are very professional. : read more

Let me just say that Mario is hands down the nicest worker I have ever met. My friends and I have been here a few times this summer and we have had such an amazing experience each time. Mario really went out of his way to make us feel welcomed while giving us five star service. If you didn't get chicken in your burger read this.... I ordered two chicken sandwiches to be delivered. I normally don't order Jack o da box but I saw the the picture of the chickie sandwich on the online menu and I wanted to consume. When it arrived, I was too excited, to my dismay, of both chicken sandwiches neither had chicken in either of them.. literally the chicken patty was missing. Stay away from this place. Ordered in the drive-thru tonight and while waiting for our food, watched an employee standing in the middle of the kitchen coughing several times without a mask on! We're in the middle of a global pandemic and a mask is required! I told the guy in the drive-thru what I saw behind him and he looked at me like there was no issue. I arrived at midnight at the staff ignored myself and another car full of people behind in the drive thru station. The hours clearly state 1:00am closing time. I parked and walked up to the door to double check hours (they were as posted online) and a young man and woman were inside working and blatantly ignored me (she made eye contact then walked away) as I waved at them. as I walked back to my car they turned the parking lot lights off (classy). well, I work nights and that was one of my few lunch options.
