Wildly popular breakfast spot in the Rancho Cucamonga area. I've been wanting to go for a while now and I always see a line or people waiting outside whenever I drive-by during breakfast/ brunch hours. Finally made it a point to come here. The vibe here is like a fun busy diner. You got families mostly and there's a bar area for smaller groups or just people dining by themselves. The menu varies from diner Classics to some Mexican dishes. I went with the Caballeros steak and eggs with eggs over medium and a coffee. Decent wait time for a Sunday afternoon. The hose was great at communicating the wait time . Mari was our server and she was very nice. The food didn't take long. I was excited to try this place because of all the hype, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The food looked great, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were on the dry side and lacked the flavor I was expecting. Overall, everything felt pretty basic and average. Nothing stood out as memorable, and I didn't feel the quality matched the reputation. Presentation is nice, but taste and food quality are a much bigger deal to me, especially when dining out for a special occasion. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't choose this place for a celebration or special event. There are other spots in the area that offer more flavor and a better overall dining experience. Drinks were also alright. Servers was really nice though, they were all super sweet and helpful. It's been a year or two since we've been, but it's just as delicious as before! Prices are higher, naturally, but it's worth it for an occasional special occasion. These past few times we've been here... EPIC FAIL. Service- one of the check in host can be RUDE. Food service is usually decent and quick. FOOD- sadly this place for me has gone through the "hype up, lower standards" that usually happens when a place gets too popular/ busy . Examples: cold coffee. It's not ok to serve your customers cold coffee and pretend no one knows. Soggy French toast: ew. They used to be my favorite and now they're just soggy pieces of egg flavored bread- no thank you. Usually when I come here there's no issues because I usually get the same thing & I love their potatoes. Though this time I ordered a new thing to try, a chicken salad bagel sandwich. Why would they say it's a bagel sandwich if they don't give it on a bagel? It came on regular sandwich bread. Plus they skimped on the chicken salad. For a $20 sandwich, I really expected more. We order a side of bacon for my dog an it was 6 crispy pieces!! Very fast and friendly service, food was authentic! Everything tastes soo good! I guess it took me 2 years to get back to Gina's. The wait here is still forever. Foetunately we came in at 2pm and were seated right away (as they close at 3pm). There was still a lot of people here when we arrived. They got our orders quickly. And the food came out very fast. We had their chai tea latte (hot) and a cold honey lavander matcha. The matcha drink wasent the greatest. Ive had better. The chai drink was soothing. They served both drinks with a biscoff cookie, which was nice. I ordered their omelette with house potatoes and my wife got their chicken and waffles. The chicken isnt what you would think for the chicken and waffles. More like a big chicken patty. But it was crispy. And the waffle was fluffy and amazing. The omelette was very good. And I so do love their potatoes. Everything tasted great. The place clearly has a strong local following because customers kept coming in nonstop the entire time we were there. Even with the high volume, the service stayed friendly and efficient, which was impressive. Tried the huevos rancheros and it was really satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. Portions here are huge overall, so come hungry. One thing that surprisingly stood out the most was the potatoes. They were unbelievably soft, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to the point we were jokingly wondering if they were somehow engineered in a lab because they tasted that good. I went on a Sunday at around 9:30am, waited less than 30 minutes to be seated. The host and waitress were super nice. The food was very delicious I love how they cook their potatoes here. Big portion sizes to fill you up and the lattes are absolutely delicious. I like how you're able to order a latte to go. The reason I took off a star is because this restaurant needs a bigger location. The outside seating feels very crammed and it's so small you have people waiting to be seating and in line staring at you while you eat creating an awkward moment. The inside feels crammed as well with a small space for customers to get in line while others inside try to leave. Our first time here and it didn't disappoint. There was a short wait due to what seems like holiday parties. Lucky there were only three of us and we were early enlightenment to beat the rush. Located in a plaza, so plenty of parking. There is outdoor and indoor seating. It's a cute and clean place. The servers were friendly and attentive to our needs, even though they were busy. The food was delicious and huge portions. We all went home with leftovers. The potatoes with my omelet was tasty, and I'm not a potato person. It was flavorful and soft. They told us the wait would be about 15-20 minutes, but we were seated in about 5 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Thoroughly impressed with this experience! The wait was about 30 mins but WORTH it. Let me start by saying our waiter, Mari was phenomenal. She was so informative in the best way and very genuine and kind. She checked on us throughout our visit but so did everyone in the restaurant! Everyone was so friendly. We ordered the Birria omelette and the pancakes. The birria was so flavorful and tender *drool* and it comes with practically a whole sliced avocado but we got it on the side. Gotta admit, I'm pretty bummed out about my experience. I was trying to find a good breakfast spot, and got a good vibe from pics and reviews. I got there and it was packed with a 55 minute wait. That told me, okay, worth it, just do it. I enjoyed the music, although it was slightly too loud. The restaurant is like being in an amphitheater, lots of echos. There was a ton of staff too. (Well, let's be clear... only ONE server was energetic and outgoing. lol) But then my green chilaquiles came and boy they were dry as hell. Sort of flavorless. I ordered a side of green salsa to help it out, but that's when I saw that the salsa was WAY too watery to do anything. The beans were also mid. I definitely would not come back for breakfast, but I would come back to get a coffee, sit outside, and perhaps try a French toast if the wait wasn't so ridiculous. I ordered over medium eggs and got sunny side up, which was good bc the salsa on the tortillas was DRY. The green salsa tastes better than the red. My husband ordered the sopes, which were fine, but he did get a CLUMP OF DIRT from his potatoes. The red chilaquiles were cold and tasted like tomato sauce. For $25 a plate I'm expecting something really good and I am once again completely let down. Please please put in the same effort you had 2 years ago when we found this place. Food came out hot and fresh. I guess you can claim farm to table even if food seems to be cooked in advanced and reheated. We all work really hard for the little coins we have, please put in the effort to make high quality food that suits your prices. I'll return when I am in need of a latte and French toast.
