Wildly popular breakfast spot in the Rancho Cucamonga area. I've been wanting to go for a while now and I always see a line or people waiting outside whenever I drive-by during breakfast/ brunch hours. Finally made it a point to come here. The vibe here is like a fun busy diner. You got families mostly and there's a bar area for smaller groups or just people dining by themselves. The menu varies from diner Classics to some Mexican dishes. I went with the Caballeros steak and eggs with eggs over medium and a coffee. Came on Thursday night for dinner and it was empty! Brunch wait is over and hour so if you are ok with a dinner menu, come in the evenings. They have dinner Thur-Sat. Ordered the Oaxacan latte again. Still excellent! I had their blackened salmon rice. All flavors were delicious. The salmon is not as blackened as I imagined but all tasted good. Husband ordered tri-tip. Flavors also en-pointe. We went early for breakfast, around 8 am, and the place was practically empty- there was a couple outside and a couple inside. We went in and a waitress was setting a table, she saw us and said "I guess I'll seat you" like maybe someone else, like a hostess, was supposed to be doing the seating. She chose a table for us but we asked for the back corner table, she said no because they were waiting for 20 person group, so we sat by the window. The "group" did not show up while were there. The first waitress that came to us was sweet and helpful. She noticed we were looking for Splenda for our coffee, and brought us some. We are looking over the menu when another waitress came to take our order. She was younger and seemed less friendly. When taking our order, I asked for the Traditional Breakfast Combo with Waffle, I asked for sourdough toast but was told that my combo doesn't come with toast, even though it clearly shows it comes with toast. When I questioned her she said no because I picked the waffle, so then toast is extra. Huh? That didn't make sense. We are paying extra for the waffle so why would the toast be extra as well? Was a bit put off by that answer. My husband ordered the Breakfast Enchiladas with Chicken. The seasoning on the chicken was incredible! It was juicy and delicious. The breakfast enchiladas were in a spicy green sauce and were so creamy and fresh. My breakfast was good. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned. The bacon was undercooked as was the sausage. Eggs were fine and the waffle was OK. As we were eating, my husband asked if they had WiFi and was told no because it interfered with their devices. When he checked, there were 3 different listing for WiFi so he was a bit confused. Overall our experience was uncomfortable and we did feel welcomed. Decent wait time for a Sunday afternoon. The hose was great at communicating the wait time . Mari was our server and she was very nice. The food didn't take long. I was excited to try this place because of all the hype, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The food looked great, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were on the dry side and lacked the flavor I was expecting. Overall, everything felt pretty basic and average. Nothing stood out as memorable, and I didn't feel the quality matched the reputation. Presentation is nice, but taste and food quality are a much bigger deal to me, especially when dining out for a special occasion. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't choose this place for a celebration or special event. There are other spots in the area that offer more flavor and a better overall dining experience. Drinks were also alright. Servers was really nice though, they were all super sweet and helpful. It's been a year or two since we've been, but it's just as delicious as before! Prices are higher, naturally, but it's worth it for an occasional special occasion. My husband loves the eggs benedict, and I love the Gina's omelette. Our four young kids shared the French toast kids meal and the smiley face pancake kids meal, and those 2 meals were big enough to share with all 4 (plus they tasted great!) These past few times we've been here... EPIC FAIL. Service- one of the check in host can be RUDE. Food service is usually decent and quick. FOOD- sadly this place for me has gone through the "hype up, lower standards" that usually happens when a place gets too popular/ busy . Examples: cold coffee. It's not ok to serve your customers cold coffee and pretend no one knows. Soggy French toast: ew. They used to be my favorite and now they're just soggy pieces of egg flavored bread- no thank you. I guess it took me 2 years to get back to Gina's. The wait here is still forever. Foetunately we came in at 2pm and were seated right away (as they close at 3pm). There was still a lot of people here when we arrived. They got our orders quickly. And the food came out very fast. We had their chai tea latte (hot) and a cold honey lavander matcha. The matcha drink wasent the greatest. Ive had better. The chai drink was soothing. They served both drinks with a biscoff cookie, which was nice. I ordered their omelette with house potatoes and my wife got their chicken and waffles. The chicken isnt what you would think for the chicken and waffles. More like a big chicken patty. But it was crispy. And the waffle was fluffy and amazing. The omelette was very good. And I so do love their potatoes. Everything tasted great. The place clearly has a strong local following because customers kept coming in nonstop the entire time we were there. Even with the high volume, the service stayed friendly and efficient, which was impressive. Tried the huevos rancheros and it was really satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. Portions here are huge overall, so come hungry. One thing that surprisingly stood out the most was the potatoes. They were unbelievably soft, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to the point we were jokingly wondering if they were somehow engineered in a lab because they tasted that good. They told us the wait would be about 15-20 minutes, but we were seated in about 5 minutes, which was a nice surprise. I love this place. My Boy's and I have been twice this month. We dined for dinner. I always See the parking lot full and I loathe crowds so I never had a chance to experience it before. I did not know there were other businesses near it so that is another reason the parking lot is always full. Gina's always is going to THROW DOWN. The food is always HOT and fresh. Portions are big and definitely shareable, but event if you don't want to you can take it home. Thoroughly impressed with this experience! The wait was about 30 mins but WORTH it. Let me start by saying our waiter, Mari was phenomenal. She was so informative in the best way and very genuine and kind. She checked on us throughout our visit but so did everyone in the restaurant! Everyone was so friendly. We ordered the Birria omelette and the pancakes. The birria was so flavorful and tender *drool* and it comes with practically a whole sliced avocado but we got it on the side.
