I do not do test drives. If I am at a dealership, chances are I have already driven one with a friend or family member. The salesman said the he wouldn't sell me anything. Then just very rudely and I quote "Bye". It was dehumanizing. I got in my car and drove to another dealership in Dothan. Put down 37,000 on a car I did not drive. Did it that very same day. Went to the dealership and purchased a used 2021 LTZ. On the way home a part blew off the truck. When I got home and realized what happened I called dealership. Didn't get a call back so called again on Monday was told the manager would call and he never did. I purchased the new part myself just to get the problem over with. After owning the truck for 5 weeks it is now in the shop getting the transmission worked on. I would not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. !!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

The thermostat in my Acadia went out and I was stuck without a vehicle. I called Matt in the service department, explained the issue and he was able to trouble shoot the problem on the phone! Since it was stuck open I was able to bring it to the dealership. He had an opening and got the vehicle right in and fixed without an issue! The worst customer service experience in the service center from a dealership ! I went to get a warranty repair and I was not greeted upon arriving at all ! When I inquired about a oil change the representative had no knowledge of the price and was just very unprofessional! When my car was finally finished they had left old rags on the seat ! I was told by the service manager that maybe we had a personality conflict and I could always take my business elsewhere! Upon his request I will be doing that! My Step-daughter had transmission problems with her Blazer. The vehicle is still under warranty and the Service manager Matt said nothing was wrong and sent her to another dealer for help. She left crying and went to another dealer as advised. The next dealer found the problem and treated her kindly. People at Gilland obviously don't care about their customers. I've purchased quite a few vehicles over the years and understand pretty well how the process works (gimmicks, pitches, proclamations, etc.). I expect a little bit of it here and there (as it goes), but do not treat a buyer/potential buyer like they lack knowledge or understanding of trade values, overheads, book values etc. Do not undercut a buyer and attempt to school them with "sales" jargon and the expectation that they don't know any better about "how it works" in the business. When you have an "end of year inventory sell-off to make room for the coming year inventory, so it all needs to go" and declare that fact plainly as you approach us (walking in the car lot), do not turn around later and contradict that fact by telling a customer that "we don't want to let go of a vehicle to auction" because of some apparent perceived value you have with that vehicle. To anyone uninformed about end of year vehicle inventories, understand that MSRP no longer applies or counts, as that MSRP was the original value of the vehicle when it first rolled off the line. Now that the vehicle is being replaced by a newer model; it is not worth anywhere close to the MSRP that they advertise, thus making their "sales discounts" seem so tantalizing and appealing. The "steep discounts" you are seeing are not the result of dealer/sales discounts, but are actually the result of vehicle depreciation. When someone has the sack to tell you that no one can beat their prices and that if they can, that "other dealer" is deceiving you...walk away from that said individual; as they are currently deceiving you and undermining your intelligence. That was a little bonus tip for all of you out there, just in case you were unaware. As for Gilland Chevrolet...I don't think for a second that every sales representative at your dealership is this way, but 1 poor experience is all it takes. It is a competitive market, you do not stand alone, and there are other places that business can be taken. To whomever reads this, Gilland Chevrolet has good individuals working there, but some of them need to scratch up a little with their bedside manner, or at least remember that not all who walk in are unaware of how things work. This is specifically geared toward the SALES DEPARTMENT and does not reflect the quality of any other department at Gilland Chevrolet of Ozark, AL. I will NOT drop names on sales associates because that would prevent them from having an opportunity to improve upon these errors, though I have provided my name for their benefit. I modified my rating to 2-stars from 1-star as I do not believe that Gilland deserves all of the credit as a whole. read more

I went there to buy a car and used their online inventory to shop. When I arrived the salesman told us that one was on a week or more long demo and the other one was on loan to a "loyal" customer. Very friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. My husband brought his car in for service and a check engine light. They fixed the check engine with a warranty so it didn't cost a thing. They even fixed the shifter which was sticking for free. read more

I've been keeping my vehicles, 6 of them, maintained here ever since they hired on my favorite service advisor, Matthew Chalker, from another dealership as their new service manager. The experience, service, and professionalism has been nothing short of perfection. Although Matthew was my main reason for coming here exclusively now, I've managed to meet some of the other team members of the service department. Tammy will take time from her super busy schedule to assist me whenever Matthew is unavailable. Ed does most the work on our vehicles I believe, according to the receipts, and one guy named Earl always greets me and talks to me because of all my vehicles I bring in. No matter the issue with my vehicles, Whether it's something simple or something major, my vehicles are always good to go when they leave. I never have to come back to get anything fixed or buttoned up or nothing. Work is always completed correctly the first time. ANNND even though I've since moved away, over an hour drive, I still make the drive by two different GMC dealerships to come back here to this one. read more
