My family was looking for a place to try for breakfast and this popped up on Google so we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered the following with ratings and overall feel: Earl's Mess 8/10: The gravy on this was BOMB! The only downside of this dish was that there were bell pepper seeds everywhere in the food so I got alot of crunchies. I also would have loved like a slice of toast or a biscuit to really push this dish over the edge. Benedict Bowl 6/10: Portion is a little small and the hollandaise sauce was alright. 34916 7/10: The biscuit and fruit jam was the best part! Everything else was overall good but not knock your shoes off. Deserts chocolate chip whoopie pies, snickerdoodle coffee cake bites and a chocolate cupcake 10/10: This is the bread and butter of it all. Their deserts are amazing! The service was good. We were greeted right away and all our questions were answered quickly. We will definitely be back to try more items. read more

So disappointed today when we stopped for a cozy shutdown breakfast surrounded with yummy's only to find out we had to order and wait in our car for our food and then eat in our car. There were not many yummy's to choose from...the tables were gone and 1/2 the restaurant has candy and crude food in it. We just discovered Gilhams a while ago and have stopped every time we go by. Wish you luck on your new endeavor but we will pass as cozy is our priority. read more

The food here has always been great. I love the waffles and crepes, the potatoes that come with breakfast are well seasoned as well. Portions are good sized for the price. My husband got a breakfast burrito and it was great and so are the biscuits and gravy breakfast. We come here often for takeout since we don't live far. Food is always ready to go when I get there and it's hot and tasty. I've picked up various baked goods as well from cupcakes, to cookies and cornbread and I've never been disappointed. Came here a second time and it was better than the first. Consistency is always important and they didn't miss. The first time I had the cinnamon rolls I had them without the cream cheese frosting and they were delicious but they were even more mouth watering this time with the frosting. We didn't take pics of them because they went in our stomachs immediately! The biscuits and gravy breakfast and cornbeef hash and eggs were incredible. Service was still superb! Super cute new neighborhood business! Right off HW 507, the building is a dark green with welcoming banners in the parking lot. Inside is bright and you can smell the goodness before you open that front door! Walked in to see fudge, cupcakes, whoopie pies, cookies, bread slices, and they even have drinks and numerous breakfast options. I only got 3 drinks (hazelnut iced coffee, raspberry peach iced tea, and a mango lemonade) and three different flavored whoopie pies. The girl up front was super kind and helped me to my car with my drinks and the lady in the back which I could only assume is the owner was sweet as well. I'LL BE BAC K SOON! read more

Gilham Bakery & Breakfast has the BEST FOOD hands down in this city. They have made every birthday cake for our family the last two and a half years as well. We've challenged them with Italian Cream Cakes, Hummingbird Cakes, and custom Carrot Cakes. They've nailed every single cake and we will never go back to traditional vanilla birthday cakes in the future. There is few things that have me sad about moving back to Alabama and losing Gilham Bakery is one of them. They are worth twice as much as they charge. Their customer service is top notch and since they've expanded their shop it's so nice to sit and enjoy breakfast with them. This place is a GEM to this city and it's a MUST VISIT!! . read more

Great Thanksgiving Dinner. Everything had big portions and was delicious. They are marvelous cooks.

This place kept popping up in my Facebook feed. Since I am not one to miss out on some good food, I added this to a trip I was taking last week. My first impression of the place was that it didn't look very clean - it looks nothing the photo above. There were three women working, none of whom were wearing gloves, although the woman who made my food did put gloves on before she made the food. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a side of potatoes. The potatoes were very good, but seriously, I never met a potato I didn't like! The burrito, while fresh and hot, was nothing special. I asked (and paid for) bacon on the burrito, but was hard pressed to find it. I had also asked for "easy" on the cheese. Again, was hard pressed to find any cheese. Other bakery goods were not appetizing at all. I am not likely to stop here again. read more

Food is way overpriced for quality and quantity. We were charged $2 each for two waters when only one was ordered. The coffee was terrible. The gravy was water sauce. Truly nothing was great including the service. To top it off everything is served in to go containers after saying we wanted to dine in. 1/10. We won't visit there again. read more

This business is located right down the road from me, across from the car dealership in Mckenna on 507. They have the best sandwiches and breakfasts. Yesterday I had a half of a Reuben and a cup of clam chowder (it was Friday) and it was under $10. The homemade baked good are displayed on large round tables and there are too many choices to list. They look absolutely delicious. A mom and her daughter run the restaurant and they have seating set up outside, as they don't have room in the building yet. It won't be long and this will become a favorite go to for locals. read more

The eggs Benedict was horrible. It was served on a biscuit and instead of hollondaise sauce used white gravy which had no flavor.

1. Overall weird vibe in this place. 2. Food was good; except biscuits are doughy. 3. Customer service could be improved and is the reason for my review. I ordered something that I wanted to trade one thing out for something slightly more expensive. Cashier must have not understood me when I inquired if I could pay the $1 difference between the 2 items. When I guestioned the bill, she had charged the full amount for the item I wanted to trade. I questioned that. She looked at her manager who gave her a slight "no" head shake, and I told her to just take it off all together. Manager then looks at other customers waiting beside me and gives them a look like I'm a problem. Very unprofessional on her part. We won't return or recommend. read more

We are always looking for new places in Yelm to try out, and since we've lived here for 20+ years, we have seen many business come and go out of this particular building. We read the reviews, and it was a HOT day, so the outdoor seating seemed like a good idea. Street entrance is the doorway they choose to utilize, so it's somewhat confusing if you don't pay attention to the signage from the parking lot. Right away the entrance to the front door largely displays a notice regarding the use of bathroom facilities restricted to employees ONLY. ( That seems to becoming the standard more often than not.) This wasn't necessarily an issue for me, but I found of odd that would be so prominently stated as a first impression. We proceeded to wind our way to the door, past three white plastic forks littering the edge of the walk way, and two large flower pots filled with garbage at the entrance. Still keeping hope, the greeting from behind the counter was prompt and pleasant. The menus extensive, the food displayed nicely enough. As it was such a hot day, I requested two cups of water, so that we could take our time perusing the menu while quenching our thirst. I'd offered to pay for the water prior to ordering our food, and I did not expect the response. The cashier politely rang up the amount. The total for two cups of TAP WATER FROM THEIR SINK = $4.36. This was NOT bottled water, nor was it in a reusable or refillable container. We are talking about two disposable cups, and water from the Roy municipal water supply. I'm not sure how the owner feels this is an acceptable price. We would have stayed, but I wasn't sure they weren't charging for forks and napkins too. read more

We ate in. I had the grilled cheese and bacon as a full meal which came with salad, soup, a biscuit and a bag of chips. My husband got the Philly with soup. Both of our sandwiches were amazing (although the Philly is more like a French dip with peppers and onions). The salad was fresh and they let you pick what kind of biscuit you get, I got the ham and cheese! So good! They don't have ranch available for the salad, they only had thousand island. My only complaint would be that noodles in the soup were super mushy. The soup tasted great it was just the texture! And OMG the cherry almond cupcake was the best! read more

Food was okay, but nothing to make a special trip for. They charged me more for a higher priced item, than what I had ordered, but actually gave me a lesser priced item, than what I ordered. Have receipt to prove it. Called them once I made it back home from picking up food. They wouldn't refund the over charge, but would give me a punch card with an extra punch. Totally unprofessional and unethical. Breakfast burritos all look the same and you can't tell what you have, until you take a bite. They use potatoes as a big filler in alot of their stuff. Not worth the price or gas to go get it. Stick with McDonalds. read more

Has potential but needs a fair amount of work. Got a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. Sandwich itself was fine, but it was overpriced in my opinion. They're new so there's a lot of work to be done on the inside. Not exactly an inviting atmosphere at the time of this review. Staff was not rude but seemed like they couldn't care less to have customers. Had to wait a while for the sandwich (even though we were the only ones there) which wouldn't normally be a big deal but there was nowhere to sit and not much to look at. read more
