I used to love this place.
The coffee was excellent. The employees were excellent. The conversations were excellent. I would enter, consume caffeine, and leave feeling powerful enough to challenge Thanos.
Then ownership changed.
A big man defeated the small men.
This is not always bad. Sometimes the big man is stronger. Sometimes the big man has a plan. Sometimes the big man does not immediately throw all the small men into space.
This big man did not choose that path.
The original employees disappeared. The people who built this place, remembered customers, and knew the difference between a latte and hot bean water were cast aside. I do not know where they went. The ownership changed. The original employees were cast aside like weak warriors after battle. The new rulers took the throne, but not the wisdom. Perhaps they have joined the Guardians.
Now I walk in and nobody knows my order. Nobody knows my name. Nobody knows why Gamora.
The coffee tastes like it was developed by a committee whose only experience with coffee was seeing a picture of it.
The new owners have successfully answered a question nobody asked:
"What if we took everyone's favorite coffee shop and removed the favorite parts?"
Congratulations. A difficult achievement.
Now the coffee tastes confused. The atmosphere feels empty. The faces I trusted are gone. This place has all the appearance of the coffee shop I loved, but its spirit has been destroyed.
I once drove past three other coffee stands to come here. Now I drive past this one too.
Like many battles, the structure remains standing, but the soul has been destroyed.
I would give two stars because the building is still located in the same place. But that is not enough.
One star. I cannot recommend this place. I would rather drink coffee brewed by Rocket while he is actively insulting me.
The destroyer is disappointed.
Nothing goes over my head. Except the logic behind these management decisions. My reflexes are too fast to catch that. read more
