I told him I didn't want a free pastry that I wanted him to take notes of the food issue and the inappropriate behavior of his staff talking about their patrons in front of them. I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed that I ended up throwing it away. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but I left feeling that I was treated differently because of the color of my skin. That is how the experience made me feel, and I think customers deserve to be treated with respect regardless of their race or background. I will not be returning. This was a very disappointing and hurtful experience, especially for my first visit. I understand that you were out of the item I wanted, and I would have appreciated a simple apology and explanation at the time. What upset me was not simply that you were out of the item.
