Let me start off to say that I have taken almost 500 classes via classpass and through other studios all over the country, and I have to say that the sculpt class taught by Katia was amazing. Plus: instructor's enthusiasm, overall energy, music, moves, and structure of the class was all cohesive and layed out very well. I was looking for a sculpting class that would build lean muscles instead of bulk me up and this class definitely did it's job. There was constant movement, so you also got a decent cardio burn as well during the class. Cons: Space. At times, it felt so hot in the room, so not sure if they had their aircon on. But hey that allowed me to sweat all my impurities out. As with all classes via classpass, I measure my overall satisfaction based on 2 things--did I walk out of the class or would i purchase a class (gasp now, outside of the classpass membership). For this studio and especially this sculpt class I would definitely purchase classes outside of class pass. Good job Katia, keep up the good work!

Every class I make progress. Tips from her are extremely helpful that in my weekend classes teacher can tell the difference. This is amazing!!! This place is highly recommend. And I'd like to add several points brought up by others: 1. 5th FL Yes, you need to walk all the way to 5F since there's no elevator. But 5 floors can't be a big deal to a dancer unless having injuries - If you are, better look for sth else till become strong enough to do ballet. 2. Neighborhood It's in a safe, pleasant neighborhood along Broadway St. Chinatown is large. Also as a common sense, not every place is dirty - There are a lot of "hidden treasures" around this area. Plus I have no problem walking along the street after class. 3. Classroom Having experienced a number of doom, slippery, compact rooms I really like this one: High ceilings, plenty of bare space, large mirrors, and wide windows with beautiful night view. Floor's nice, too, good for flat shoes, pointe shoes, and also socks. The best part is the atmosphere. Other than Tiekka is so enthusiastic and always selects the best music, everyone is friendly. From day one after trying it out via ClassPass- I was hooked. Although I kept my ClassPass membership to do other things (boxing, HITT, etc.) because I was nervous, I wouldn't stay in shape if I only did ballet. WELL, I WAS WRONG! I learned the more ballet you do, the more it works for you! I had an emergency surgery that required me to be off from all workouts for six weeks. When I was ready to exercise, my body was too fragile to take on anything that strained my body. My husband suggested only doing ballet for a month until I was back on my feet. Fast forward three months, and I'm only doing Everyday Ballet, and I'm in the BEST shape of my life. The best part is I love being there. I never have the tread of getting in the right mental place to go because it's so fun. Tiekka, the other instructors, they all have such a great passion for dance. You see it in their smiles and how they engage with the class. My only regret is I didn't become an unlimited ballet student sooner. GO! Get off Classpass and go 3-4 times a week, and you will be amazed by how you feel, physically, mentally, and spiritually. You get beautiful music to enjoy, a toned body, and ballet training from professional ballet dancers and a principal professional ballerina!!

The front desk staff weren't very welcoming either. I arrived early and just had a simple question, but was met with blank stares and a vibe like I was bothering them. The studio itself wasn't ideal for focus or rehearsal. You could hear everything happening in the adjacent studios!! There was no sound insulation whatsoever. so it was hard to stay in the zone during class. Overall, the energy felt off, and I definitely wouldn't book this space for my own classes or come back to rehearse.

They have a schedule updated monthly, with separate sign-up options for both member and non-members. As a non member, I paid for the drop-in class, which was $25. The class runs for an hour with around 10+ students, where an instructor first starts up with a quick warm-up and then jumps into teaching you a choreo to the song. The choreo is broken into several routines, so you learn them slowly in detail, and then piece them all together with the song incrementally. Dancing is as challenging for your brain as it is for your body, as you need to really exercise your memory and mind body coordination! The whole class went by super fast. Everyone who went seemed to be regulars and quite experienced, but you'd be too busy trying to master the dance to care. At the end, we are placed into two groups, where we are given a chance to perform and record ourselves. DivaDance emphasizes community as they have a whole FB group where you can see past dance classes and meet new members as well! I met some cool friendly people my first time and I'd totally attend more classes in the future!

I came to visit my daughter over the weekend and went to the actual studio twice. I was in heaven! I had two different instructors, Derek and Lauren. Both of them were excellent. Fantastic music!!!!! The studio is pretty big and has everything that you'll need to get a super workout. You must send in your vax info or you'll need to wear a mask. There is plenty of room between clients. You aren't packed in like SoulCycle sardines. One thing to note is that Tracy likes it hot and steamy. I use heat and humidity at home but in the studio setting, it's next level. On my phone it said 86 degrees. It was close to 75-80% humidity. If you aren't expecting this, you could be shocked. So here is your warning. I love it hot so bring it on!!!!!
