The trainers appear to be well trained in kinesiology and exercise science. They execute the weight lifting, toning, and dance moves with safety and injury prevention in mind. The scope and sequence of the on demand classes and live classes are top notch. I truly look forward to each class because of the upbeat personalities of the trainers and motivating music. Contemporary music as well as nostalgic favorites are offered on a regular basis. I appreciate the fact that the choreography is complex and ever changing. This challenges my mind as well as various muscle groups. I recently read that learning new choreography on a regular basis can prevent dementia. Pattern recognition, movement, and music stimulate the brain. HIIT Dance is also offered as well. Studies show that HIIT and weight training balance the hormones, strengthen bones, and build muscle as we age. At 51, I am interested in activities that promote longevity, mobility, strength, and stress reduction. Dance Body offers this to me at a reasonable price. Dance is the only physical activity that has motivated me to stay fit. Jazzercise in the 90's and now Dancebody!

What initially started out as lessons for our first dance, quickly turned into our favorite date nights. The studio atmosphere is fun, clean, and spacious, and we genuinely have a blast every time we go. Our first dance was by far the best choreograph we've ever seen, and that's all thanks to our amazing instructor. We got married 3 months ago and people are still talking about it! We're still going to dance lessons post-wedding as it's turned into our favorite dance nights. We've formed an amazing connection with our instructor and look forward to our lessons every time. Shoutout to the full team at Fred Astaire and our incredible instructor Liza!!!!!

Our guests were blown away by our dance, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our wedding. Highly recommend Liza to anyone looking for a wedding dance that feels truly special!

As a long-time dancer, I always seek for very professional ballet class. It's a gift to meet Tiekka…read moreand joined her class every Wednesday night. I'm a perfectionist, so it's a nature of mine to be very picky when it comes to ballet class (I've tried so many in Manhattan but...). After the first one with her I can tell, she's so wonderful and professional and make the class well-organized. She put her heart into it, and it worth the time and paying. Every class I make progress. Tips from her are extremely helpful that in my weekend classes teacher can tell the difference. This is amazing!!! This place is highly recommend. And I'd like to add several points brought up by others: 1. 5th FL Yes, you need to walk all the way to 5F since there's no elevator. But 5 floors can't be a big deal to a dancer unless having injuries - If you are, better look for sth else till become strong enough to do ballet. 2. Neighborhood It's in a safe, pleasant neighborhood along Broadway St. Chinatown is large. Also as a common sense, not every place is dirty - There are a lot of "hidden treasures" around this area. Plus I have no problem walking along the street after class. 3. Classroom Having experienced a number of doom, slippery, compact rooms I really like this one: High ceilings, plenty of bare space, large mirrors, and wide windows with beautiful night view. Floor's nice, too, good for flat shoes, pointe shoes, and also socks. The best part is the atmosphere. Other than Tiekka is so enthusiastic and always selects the best music, everyone is friendly. Nobody will judge you, and everybody gets corrected during each session. You will love this place

From day one after trying it out via ClassPass- I was hooked. Although I kept my ClassPass membership to do other things (boxing, HITT, etc.) because I was nervous, I wouldn't stay in shape if I only did ballet. WELL, I WAS WRONG! I learned the more ballet you do, the more it works for you! I had an emergency surgery that required me to be off from all workouts for six weeks. When I was ready to exercise, my body was too fragile to take on anything that strained my body. My husband suggested only doing ballet for a month until I was back on my feet. Fast forward three months, and I'm only doing Everyday Ballet, and I'm in the BEST shape of my life. The best part is I love being there. I never have the tread of getting in the right mental place to go because it's so fun. Tiekka, the other instructors, they all have such a great passion for dance. You see it in their smiles and how they engage with the class. My only regret is I didn't become an unlimited ballet student sooner. GO! Get off Classpass and go 3-4 times a week, and you will be amazed by how you feel, physically, mentally, and spiritually. You get beautiful music to enjoy, a toned body, and ballet training from professional ballet dancers and a principal professional ballerina!!

The front desk staff weren't very welcoming either. I arrived early and just had a simple question, but was met with blank stares and a vibe like I was bothering them. There was no sound insulation whatsoever. so it was hard to stay in the zone during class. They have a schedule updated monthly, with separate sign-up options for both member and non-members. As a non member, I paid for the drop-in class, which was $25. The class runs for an hour with around 10+ students, where an instructor first starts up with a quick warm-up and then jumps into teaching you a choreo to the song. The choreo is broken into several routines, so you learn them slowly in detail, and then piece them all together with the song incrementally. Dancing is as challenging for your brain as it is for your body, as you need to really exercise your memory and mind body coordination! The whole class went by super fast. Everyone who went seemed to be regulars and quite experienced, but you'd be too busy trying to master the dance to care. At the end, we are placed into two groups, where we are given a chance to perform and record ourselves. DivaDance emphasizes community as they have a whole FB group where you can see past dance classes and meet new members as well!
