Best food I've had in the city in a while! So yummy and the menu is incredible. The ribs are the best ribs I've ever had in my life

I've been looking forward to try this place as soon as I heard it was opening seeing how it's big sister Elena is one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal. We had reservations for three on a Saturday evening and when we arrived the place was already vibing. The location in St Henri next to the Home Depot, at the end of the cul de sac, doesn't exactly scream elegance but we quickly changed our minds as we walked up the white building. The beautiful decor and long bar by the entrance, the comfortable seating and the low lighting made this cold industrial space in the old RCA building cozy and inviting. The food was amazing! I always love unpretentious delicious simple cuisine and Gia knocked it out of the ballpark. The fried polenta and eggplant topped with Quebec sourced cheese are the two things I can't stop talking about, and the grilled shrimp are what I can't stop dreaming about..The pasta was on everybody's table so we also ordered to try and although the duck ragout was delicious, the pasta was a little too al dente for my taste. I am excited to go back and try the rest if the menu including their desserts! The wine list was great and you have very descent choices by the glass as well. The service was great. The waiters were on their toes and constantly filling water glasses and changing our settings between services. Our waiter was very patient helping us finally find the perfect wine and attentive throughout the service albeit the line outside for the second seating . Definitely looking forward to my next visit even if it's just for apéro at the marble bar with some arrosticini..

Before I get into it, this place is cute and trendy. I liked that aspect before it turned bad. I…read morewent for an event with my university, mostly just tapas style and it pretty good. The service was the bad part. They skipped over a lot of people and were kinda rude. They told a few people that "just so you know so you aren't like your friend, tipping isn't included"... They were being rude because they didn't tip when it's always optional. The people who didn't tip weren't really served and didn't eat... I don't know, not an ideal situation for the group mixed with the service. The lady that serviced us was super nice but the two men who helped with the party were not. It would probably be better as just a sit down casual spot and not for an event.

There were full tables, but not too loud or squished. Cozy, I would say. Luckily there was a table for the two of us. We came for a post-dinner wine so we didn't order any food items off their menu soir. I got a rose and my friend got one of the cocktails, the tea punch. The cocktail menu is limited but they have a decent selection of a variety of wines. There was already a small bowl of lemon and pepper popcorn, that I couldn't help snacking on, hah! Wine and cocktail was good. I liked that we could easily converse without loud music. My friend ended up getting a dessert, the chocolate and maple crumble. I had a bite - pretty good! Definitely very maple-y. Staff spoke English and French fluently. Quite nice and efficient. I also really liked that there is a bus stop directly outside and the bus takes you to the MTL metro station, which was awesome because it was snowing and I was not looking forward to walking 20 mins in the snow.
