They lost my expensive and sentimental veil in the process. When I received my dress back, someone else's was in the box. They did their best to remedy the situation by replacing it, but overall my veil is missing forever. I wanted to leave a review simply because I am so heart broken over this whole thing. If you need things dry cleaned, that's fine, but I wouldn't trust this company for something like this again.

Horrible! This particular location is filthy inside. The floors are uneven tripping hazards, the…read morewalls are disgusting as well as the rafters where they store customer's clothing. There is poor ventilation and the overwhelming stench of the harsh cleaning solvents they use is revolting! They do not use the green friendly cleaning solvents, Colvin Cleaners is the only local place that does! I utilized their services a handful of times and I give them one star due to their abilities to remove spots and stains. However, even though the stains are removed, you are forced to launder the finished product once you get it home to remove the overwhelming stench from the chemicals they used to remove the spots. There seems to be a revolving door of delivery drivers, as these employees are expected to do their pick up and deliveries AND solicit new business at the same time. As a family owned and operated business it is not handled in the professional manner that corporate businesses are, it is common to see the family members giving inconsistent directions and actually arguing as if they are at their dinner table! I have personally witnessed employees being called demeaning names and have also been told how racial slurs have been used by employees against other employees, yet they remain gainfully employed! I find it extremely sad that this business has been around over sixty years and is in such a state of chaos, unprofessional behaviors, and rather questionable labor law practices IE: people being paid under the table, employee injuries on the job being encouraged to go through their own insurance rather than utilizing Workman's Compensation as the law dictates. One employee tripped over an exposed pipe on the floor and was told she was banned from ever going on that side of the building again, rather than the business owners fixing the real problem! Add to that the owners tend to gossip between the employees rather than directly going to the source of their alleged concerns/questions. Their prices continue to rise, but their quality of service remains the same. Sadly, there are some very talented employees there, yet they do not get the appreciation and respect they deserve. I was once told if (the former plant manager) was too stupid to send a repaired product down the line to be inspected that I had to be smart enough to catch it! Absolutely no respect and very unprofessional words coming directly from the owner! No wonder their turn over has always been so high, people are talked down to and flat out unappreciated and clearly not valued. In my opinion I would not be the least bit surprised to see this place fold. It is never good to see a business go under, but when a business conducts itself in such a manner it is bound to happen! Save your time and money and go to Colvin Cleaners, or purchase one of the easy to use do it yourself dry cleaning kits that can be found on the shelf at Wal Mart!

Remembering that Urban Valet provides cleaning services for the annual prom gown give away, we decided to try them out. The staff was very friendly and helpful as my wife explained exactly what was needed. In addition to the cleaning, her gown needed to be altered slightly. Staff explained the process and fully reviewed her requirements. The items were promised to be ready by the next Wednesday. On Wednesday we arrived and everything was ready as promised. Both gowns were beautifully prepared and well covered to ensure they could be easily transported. My daughter's gown had a jeweled waist which is not easy to clean but was perfect. I was more than pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay. For a wedding gown, an evening gown with alterations and a man's two piece suit with tie the cost was less than $100.00! I don't know about other locations but the Hamburg site has a very unique feature. In addition to walk in service they offer Drive Through service as well. I have never experienced such a service at a cleaners but intend to use it in the future. They had me try the dress on, carefully pinned and marked everything, and explained that it would be ready in about a week. When I picked it up, the alterations were beautifully done. After getting home, I realized there was one small thing I wanted to adjust about the way the bottom of the dress was laying. I called, and they immediately told me to bring it back whenever was convenient. They fixed it for me while I waited, and I was so impressed by how thorough they were. They had me try it on multiple times, making little tweaks until it fit absolutely perfectly. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and they didn't even charge me for the additional adjustment. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely wanted to make sure I left happy with the final result. The dress fits like it was made for me!
