We recently took the Ghosts & Gravestones tour in St. Augustine and had a really fun time overall. Even before the tour started, the waiting area set the mood perfectly--it had a slightly creepy vibe with all the displays, which got us excited (and a little on edge) for what was coming. Our tour guide was fantastic--engaging, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of theatrical. The driver was also a character and added some extra personality to the experience. The stops were interesting, especially the wax museum and the old jail. My wife got a bit freaked out at those parts, but nothing was over-the-top scary. If you're looking for something entertaining with a spooky twist--but not too intense--this is definitely worth doing. We're glad we went and would recommend it to anyone visiting St. Augustine! read more

What we thought was just a small gift shop turned into one of the most memorable parts of our evening. My sisters and I initially stopped in because my sister was cold and needed a sweater. While browsing, we noticed something in the back of the store about tours and were a bit confused, so we asked about it. That's when we discovered the Ghosts & Gravestones tour--and immediately decided to sign up for it after dinner. After our meal, we returned for the tour and spent over an hour riding around the city in a trolley guided by Shamus and Slick, who were fantastic hosts. They were entertaining, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel immersive and fun. The tour took us to several fascinating spots, including the Old Jail and Potter's Wax Museum, which was especially exciting because I had already wanted to visit those places. Along the way, we heard eerie ghost stories, learned some local history, and even visited a cemetery, which added to the whole atmosphere of the night. It ended up being such a unique and memorable experience--definitely not what we expected when we walked into what we thought was just a gift shop. We took this tour yesterday , I was mixed experience the locations were neat, but the story telling was poor. The bus was overly packed , people were complaining about seating. However my part of experience were the story tellers in the historic locations. Neat experience , but a location in Savannah, GA set the bar extremely high. read more

All the tour trucks were parked by the jail house but that is not where you go to start the tour. That was confusing. Also, the price for the tour just does not seem worth it. You are basically paying to ride around in an open air bus and hear ghost stories. We did take three stops on the tour to get out and see stuff but again, it mostly just stories being told. The people that did the tour stayed in character and did a great job telling the stories but it just doesn't seem worth the price overall. read more

This tour was amazing and such a fun way to experience St. Augustine at night. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The trolley takes you to several spooky and historic stops, including the Wax Museum, the Old Jail, and other haunted areas around the city, which made it feel immersive and interactive instead of just sitting and listening. The guides were entertaining and did a great job keeping things fun, especially if you're willing to be a good sport. We just completed the 1 hour and 20 minute tour and it was a great time. The staff being in character made the tour. They were all excellent and knew their material and played their roles excellently. But there is one that was a cut above all of them! Chuckles, the escaped convict trolley driver. This guy was spot on. Perfectly in character and legitimately had my teenage daughter nervous. It didn't help that I told him her name, but... Great time! read more

I absolutely loved it. I love horror movies. Creepy documentaries. I cannot do haunted houses and actual jump scares. This was a great tour of the dark creepy history of the town. Lot of the stories we heard prompted us to look up and read up on later. We did it the nights of lights premier day, we got to see the lights too! Dana was our ghost host and Chuckles and C4 our drivers, they all did great! I was creeped out and intrigued. I will say I didn't go into the jail as she warned it's dark and hard for some people. My husband did go on up and he said it was creepy but interesting. read more

My family and I had a great time on this night time tour of Old St. Augustines darker history with a twist, spooky but with some laughs too. I recommend touring with Violet, she is a really great story teller and host. She really gets into character making you feel you have been transported back in time. The Executioner was convincing at the wax museum and the other actors at the jail house made it fun but shivered my timbers also. Chuckles was the bus driver and he made sure we watched our step in a spooky way. I would recommend it from teens to adults. read more

More ghost stories than anything else. The staff working this tour did an incredible job with their stories, descriptions and acting. The tour begins at the welcome center next to Ripley's. We chose the 8:40 tour and I am glad since the tour would not have been as enjoyable during daylight. Once checked in, you are moved to a room that had some really interesting items. Unfortunately, because the tour is so packed and the room so small, looking at everything was impossible. Once our tour guide, Luna, arrived, the tour began. We departed for the tour shuttle and headed into town. Our first stop was the cemetery outside of Potter's Wax Museum, then time in the museum (both in the old drugstore section and back into the wax museum). We also spent a lot of time inside the Old Jail. I think many of us were expecting something more from this experience, so it was a little disappointing. read more

It was cute. I mean, if you're wanting to get scared, this probably isn't the tour for you. If you're tired of walking all day, then maybe. It was like a drive by crash course of information. We got down 2 times. One, at a graveyard, but only on the platform, by a restaurant we ate at earlier that day. Haha sooooo, besides the leaf that fell fast on me as I was taking a pic ... no scares there. Haha And then, a stop at the wax museum. But it was just the entrance room, a dark hallway, and a story room. The scariest was the hallway, because my friends are crazy. Mystery taps.
