Oh yeah, this place is dummy good ! I'm gonna start with dessert. We had the churro and I'm telling you the churro is the bomb.com so crispy and the sauces they serve with it is just phenomenal. Now we live down close to Portland, Oregon and yes, we do have some gluten-free options there however, this place was on our list to visit for a very long time in Seattle . My daughter ordered the fish and chips. The fish was tender. The breading was phenomenal and their coleslaw was fantastic too. Now my son ordered the mac & cheese. He had them put crumbled bacon on top. I mean it's nature's candy. You can't go wrong there. We also got some of their chili and put it on our fries that we had ordered with the chicken strips and everything just Tantalized our taste buds. My son's favorite thing was the onion rings because he hadn't had an onion ring in like 10 years and the batter was just perfect and nothing like dipping into some fantastic barbecue sauce. I really enjoyed having a taster of one of their gluten-free beers. I'm not a big beer drinker, but what I tried was really fruity and refreshing. On the way out the door I noticed the gentleman that had been walking around talking to everybody. I figured he was the owner and of course he was. Went with family for one gluten allergic member. I tried two tacos which were okay but very fall-apart. The place was packed but fortunately we got a table for six right away. It has another stuff mixed in, nothing stand out about it. Onion ring on other hand was good, thick batter and stay crispy. The truffle fries were crispy and not too salty. It was busy Sunday night but service was still good. There were pretty of tables inside and did not have to wait long to be seated. It is 100% gluten free that includes the beer. This is the third time I have been here. I was so excepted the first and second time since I can't get this in California and it's all Gluten free. First time the fish and chips were super greasy but I really liked them. Second time was Monday this week , pleasant wait staff dinner was good. Third time bad attitude grumpy waiter. Place smelled disgusting but I drove 15 min to get there. I have had cinnamon roll it was good. Will I come back ? Up for debate , I think I am good. The BEST fish and chips I've ever had: 3 huge thick pieces of tender fish in mouthwatering, crispy fried batter! It was pure umami deliciousness. I went in starving and could only finish 2 pieces. I still think about Ghostfish and Chips. Their Chili Mac n Cheese is also generous and homey. They serve excellent alcohol (although I'd love to see beer slushies for hot Seattle summer days) in a casual and nice atmosphere with attentive service. I researched best spots through my find me gluten free app and this spot was at the very top. Nick our server was amazing!! He accommodated our large party size that just kept growing. He was super helpful with ordering, especially beer. I am not a huge beer fan but when visiting a gluten free brewery one MUST try and he agreed. The meteor one was my favorite although I still prefer the root beer and wine over an actual beer. Everything we ordered was amazing. I love that it is a gluten free restaurant and the ambiance was nice., however the food was mediocre. The chicken in the chicken sandwich was dry. None of the sauces had much flavor except the barbecue sauce. The blackberry ginger beer was extremely bitter and undrinkable. Even the coleslaw was just off-tasting. Fries were good. I came across this gluten-free gem of a restaurant and brewery while visiting Seattle. We were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and a drink before meeting up with friends. My gluten-free partner was so excited that she could drink the beer here. We arrived right when Ghostfish opened and sat at the bar. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. They even have gluten-free desserts that they make in-house! We tried the carrot cake, which was so moist you wouldn't even know it was gluten-free! Everything is Gluten free, we LOVE it After being diagnosed with thyroid disease I never thought I would be able to drink beer again until I had one of their beers at a ski resort in Montana. We are now hooked. We did not know they had food, it all looks amazing and we heard it was delicious. We arrived Friday afternoon to be greeted by fabulously nice staff. The place was busy. I drove purposely from Boise, Idaho to Seattle just to get a flat of beer. Being a full celiac is hard to find good food, yet alone beer. They make the best gluten free beer around, from their lagers to the IPAs. The staff is very friendly and has common knowledge of not gluten free beers to compare said beers to! Topped it off with a gluten-free beer. Everything was so good! I cannot remember the last time I actually had a pretzel bun. It tasted like the real thing. I would have loved to try the gluten-free onion rings, but was too full. I could not do it. I had been wanting to try the restaurant as I really like their GF beer. So stopped by before a Mariners game and wow, the food (and beer of course) was fantastic. It was excellent by any standards, not the "pretty good for gluten free" that is usually the best you can hope for. Place was very casual, people very nice, we sat outside so left from there. There was too much food and obviously since we were not going home we couldn't take it with us. I hope they didn't think we didn't like it because that was absolutely not the case. Did you know that Beer can be Gluten Free?! I sure didn't know.... Well, Ghostfish Brewing has many options for those who are Gluten Intolerant. Within the last year, I found out that gluten has been the culprit for MANY of My stomach issues... Been doing My best at avoiding gluten as much as possible... Yet, that is certainly NOT easy. One of the items I gave up, was beer.... Yet, I hate the taste of Hard Alcohol. My Favorite type of Beer, is Hefeweizen. When visiting Ghostfish for the first time, I got to try their style of a Hefeweizen that was gluten free. AND IT WAS AMAZING!! Strange and disappointing experience. Came in to this place last night and was excited about it because of the gluten free beer and food selections. I ended up getting into a deep conversation with my friend about some past trauma while we sat at the bar. We both shed some tears. At one point she stood up and gave me a hug to comfort me. Soon afterwards, the manager, Brenna, came over and curtly told us that "we needed to be done." "Done, with what?" I asked. "You need to leave, this is a family establishment." "I don't know if you're intoxicated, or what, but you need to go." This is when the disbelief rushed in. We were halfway through one beer, and had ordered some tacos. We were not behaving in an inappropriate way, not displaying anything that would resemble too much affection, not being loud, etc. Some people in the restaurant had complained. About what? I wondered. Apparently, you can get kicked out of Ghostfish if you're sad, or if you have an emotional moment, or if you indicate in any way whatsoever that you're having a bad day. You won't be greeted with empathy or understanding, you'll actually be asked to leave. I went to Ghostfish to have a beer with my friend, to talk, to feel better and hopefully start having a better day. Instead, the opposite happened. I won't be going back. Which is a shame, cause they have really good beer, and I didn't get a chance to try the fish tacos that we had ordered. In summary, all I can say is, don't go to this establishment if you're feeling emotional, or if you feel like you might quietly shed some tears. You'll be asked to leave. An entire brewing company, not just restaurant, that is 100% gluten free! I wish my stomach had unlimited capacity because I wanted to try everything. All the classic comfort foods that I can't normally have, I could! And beer! Lots of beer! ALL GLUTEN FREE! I don't even really like beer, but I could have it, so I did! My husband who isn't gluten free, but is often forced to eat gluten free with me, even loved everything. I had a tasting flight and would happily order three of the four beers that I tasted. The Pale Ale won gold at the 2023 GABF. All are low in carbonation and most people would never know that the beer is GF. The food was also excellent. I had crispy and perfectly fried Fish&Chips, served with the extra crispy fries that I requested. The entire restaurant is gluten free. What a treat to order straight off the menu.
