These guys are super awesome. Nick went out of his way to get me amazing prices on parts and also discounted the labor. Communication from this place was amazing. Nick would call and let me know what's going on. If I had further questions about the car, he would say, "let me get my lead technician to talk to you directly" Then the lead technician would get on the phone. I've also been in the office while Nick called other customers and heard how he dealt with people. I have already been to most of the other car repair shops in the area before, that you are currently considering on Yelp. Save yourself the time, money, and come directly here. My Escalade has never been in better hands. (except when the wife drives it) read more

Very nice employees! Really honest with your vehicle needs without being pushy about getting more work done. Prices aren't bad either. They'll walk you through everything- great communication! Would recommend and will definitely return again! read more

Came here to patch up a few hidden nails in my tires. They were super friendly & helpful. Quick and affordable service. Highly recommend.

Great service!! Professional team and communicative. Nick is a great guy and keeps it real with you. Is transparent and honest about what you need and doesn't want you paying for things that aren't necessary. read more

I took my car to Mercedes Benz dealership for a service A on my Benz and they quoted me $299 for basic service when Ghassem's charged me a third of the cost and uses same parts. They got me in right away and were able to finish my car the same day. I'll definitely be coming back in the future and bringing my Tesla in for service as well! Ghassems does it all:) A shoutout to Nick, he is super reliable, honest, and fair. Explains everything in detail and made it super easy for me. Will be bringing my friends and family here as well! read more

Once again Ghassem's proves what it means to have integrity! Nick is a man of his word. In today's world of scam artists and price gouging it's refreshing to find an old school business that you can rely on read more

Nick is the best and the whole staff. Always kind and helpful!! I would recommend you come here for all your car needs!!!!!

Have been going here for over 20 years. Honest -- a reputation they have earned on their own. Because of this, they are pretty busy. However, they are still very communicative and always have the car ready on time. Nick was trained well by his dad and the nicest guy (like his pops). Ricardo is a great mechanic who has been here for quite a long time now. This place is our go to with all of our cars! read more

Great honest place to take your car! I strongly recommend this place! They service my 2010 Toyota and my 84 camper van. read more

New young nephew/Son doing a great job of running the show for the original dad and uncle Duo. Just as friendly and welcome mean as the original owners. Thank you for promptly getting me in my car in to do an oil change and have me out the door in 30 minutes at a completely fair oil change price. read more

Update to 2018 review. Ghassem's son Nick is now on board & he's generally the "face & PR man" of Ghassem's. Feel even more positive about this shop now. Honest & trustworthy when it comes to keeping our "wheels" running! read more

TRUST WORTHY mechanics. Friendly and reliable family run business who call you and keep you informed. Took my 14yr old pick up in because the A/C stopped working and a couple other things. I was expecting a giant estimate for the A/C. They could've hit me up for big $$, but they said it just needed service. CHEAP! Being able to trust a business to do a good job and not take all your money is what we all want. Nick, running the place today for his dad and uncle, told me many people come to the shop looking for 2nd opinions. Their corner shop is always busy and full but in 12 yrs they've never turned me away. The shop on Atherton & Clark is next to a small strip of shops that include a thrift store, liquor store, tea/ Boba shop, a deli, and a bar. read more

This is the best auto repair shop in the area. I have used them the last 23 years for all of our cars. They are extremely nice and knowledgeable and ALWAYS give a fair price. They can fix anything. We are very grateful to have them. read more

Updated Review after SIX years as a loyal costumer: I won't take my car anywhere else. Time and again they fit me in, their work is honest and top quality, and they are the nicest people. Such a gem to fine a great mechanic for my car and after all these years I still say they are the best. read more

Another fantastic experience at Ghassem's! I'm about to begin a job with a commute. Could my 27-year-old car/relic make it without us becoming a Sig alert? I took it in for a check up. Some regularly scheduled maintenance, some preventive maintenance, some very good advice, some clear explanations, and I'm good to go. The value is more than fair. It's the integrity, knowledge, and patience that keeps me coming back. I couldn't be more pleased, yet again! read more

These guys are family. Went not by birth but treat me like it. Not only have I trusted them with my Classic 1969 AMX, but they also service all our cars. The best thing they offer is they treat each car like it is their own. I have a Cadillac that has really been a nightmare. Most mechanics would have stopped long ago. But Abby , the owner and Nick his son has tried everything to help us out. This car shows there integrity as they could have dragged us over the repair coals, but didn't. I think they even feel for us as they apologize when one more thing is added. But I know they won't do anything that is not needed, or that won't help. When you go there, tell them big mike sent you. Thats me lol. read more

We have been loyal to Ghassem's for over 10 years, with all of our cars. Always top-tier service, we're treated like family and felt like we matter. Honest and dependable, you won't get sold a million other things when you take a car in for a simple oil change. Fast service, too, just as quick as the "other guys". read more

I had no appointment and needed someone to look at my vehicle cause it was making a strange noise. The service was exceptional and only waited 5 minutes for a mechanic to come out and analyze my vehicle. He immediately knew what the problem was and although they were busy they were able to get the repairs done the same day which I was very happy about. The pricing for the work I felt was fair considering the service and quality of technicians. I would go back again for future needs for my vehicle! read more

I took my 2000 4Runner to them to check the brakes, I wasn't sure how to check them. They were very honest and said I have plenty of brake pads left. read more

Came In bc my car was over heating. They told me they fixed the issue, but less than 24 hours, my car started to overheat. They then told me it was probably my head gaskets, which why didn't they tell me that in the first place? He then proceeded to tell me they couldn't even look at the issue for another 2 weeks! They wouldn't give me any of my money back. These guys are a scam, do not come here read more

I have been going here for over 25 years and have nothing but great things to say about Ghassem's. I have had minor to major work done here and had great results at reasonable prices. Abbey (father) and Nick (son) are outstanding and would highly recommended this place as your forever mechanic. Take all my 4 cars here! read more

Unprofessional. Not sure if Nick is the son of the previous manager but he does not compare. Seems like the shop is mis-managed and they are not able to provide service. read more

I hate having to find a new mechanic! However, my mechanic is by my work in Lawndale and it doesn't look like I'll be going to work anytime soon due to COVID. So, due to a recommendation on Nextdoor, I came to Ghassem's for an oil change, maintenance check, and tire check. I feel like I hit the jackpot. Ghassen's is amazing! Quick, thorough, honest, and reasonable...what else could you want!?! I have definitely found my new mechanic. I am looking forward to coming her for a long time to come. read more

Was originally referred to here by friends/neighbors. They are great and honest and does what is needed and not trying to upsell you on services that isn't needed like some of the others that I've been to. This is where I take my cars that I want done right and they don't disappoint. Been coming for years. Thanks for what you guys do! read more

Abbey and his son run a kind, efficient and fair shop. I'm grateful for people like this owning small businesses in LB. They set a high standard. read more

Ghassem's always treats me right. I took my car to ACA Automotive and they charged me double for the same service. Ghassem's doesn't gouge you like others. I have taken all 4 of my cars there and I am happy with their service. read more

Very courteous service. Very clean facilities. Did not lie to us and try to charge us for nothing. Checked the battery and charged it. Charged us very little. Definitely recommend read more

Believe me when I say, you will not need to go anywhere else for your automotive needs. I have taken all 4' of my cars here and their work is outstanding. I walk in with a problem and Ghassem's has the solution and it is effective. They get the job done right the first time, no matter what vehicle I have taken to them to diagnose. read more

These folks were exactly the right people to help me when my "low tire pressure" light came on. They found a nail in my tire, removed it, patched it up, and had me outta there within 10 minutes. All for $20. Thank you, Raul! read more

The most important thing about a mechanic is being able to trust them to get the job done, and that they stand by their work, and give the best value. I will recommend Ghassem's to anyone looking for car service, everyone there is incredibly professional and they can be trusted with your ride. I had an exhaust problem on my Chevy, and they fixed it better than I could've imagined and they did it quick. Any issue you have, I say go to Ghassem's! Thanks so much! read more

I've come here numerous times to have my car serviced and would not go anywhere else. Very personable and efficient service

Hands down one of the best auto shops around. Family owned and amazing customer service.

Have been taking my cars here for years and Nick and the rest of the team are reliable, quick, and good people. Thanks guys!

I've been taking my car to this auto shop for years, always great service and reasonable prices, I often stay around and talk with them and I even pass by to say hi. They feel like family now and I trust them with everything car related. read more

As a chick who felt like I should never take in my car without bringing someone who knows more about cars to have my back, I can honestly say now that I feel completely comfortable going to Ghassem's for my Mini services on MY OWN --- FINALLY! Luckily, a fellow Mini-friend of mine had highly recommended Ghassem's, saying they are "the most honest and fair people to work with". Friendly, timely, patient, super cool guys! Would trust them with any of my ridez in the future. read more

Our trusted family mechanic for years. Even though we moved away from the LBC, we still return for maintanance, because they do the job right the first time and the repair bills are reasonable. They are a class act, and I highly recommend them read more

My car had a freak out in a parking lot and I took it here. They held onto it, did a couple of tests and couldnt find the source of the problem. Dont know if it was a one time weird car thing, but I appreciated the guys taking a look at it and being honest with me (and not charge me an absurd amount for a problem that isnt even there) Very honest guys. I will be back! (well, if my car wants to come back) read more

I always come here for service! It is always hard to find mechanics that are honest and don't just want a sale. Nick is the best and the mechanics here are always great and HONEST! We love ghassems for all our car service needs. I can't recommend This enough! So good! read more

More than 13 yrs ago, when I was young and stupid, I actually called Abbey an a$$hole because I 'thought' he was giving me the run-around on something. At the time, his brother also worked there, so thankfully, THEY rose above my idiocy and didn't beat the crap out of me that day. Over a decade later, karma set in, and my long-time mechanic decided to break the law and go to jail. (probably beat up some douchey punk for calling him an a$$hole). To my dismay, as I searched Yelp, Ghassem's was the highest rated mechanic in my area. Since I was older (and much more handsome) than when I verbally assaulted him, I figured there was no way he would remembered me, so I took my crappy car in. Lo-and-behold, Abbey remembered me; saying I was the only person throughout all these years, that he ever had a confrontation with. He treated me like his old buddy, took care of my issue, charged me a VERY reasonable price, and provided tons of useful information for things to look out for on my car. Most of all, he taught me valuable life lessons of forgiveness, patience, and professionalism! It's no wonder that he's been in business at the same location since the 70's ... it's because he's very GOOD!!!! If you need a mechanic, I hope you make it there before he retires some day!!! read more

I'm about to let you in on a secret. So pay close attention. These guys are tremendous. I won't be taking my car anywhere else from now on. 1) You can drop by whenever you want. 2) They won't screw you over just to make a fast buck. 3) They always call you to review the damage before work is performed. 4) I wasn't treated any differently just because I'm a girl. 5) They are fair, honest, and skilled. 6) Even my mechanic friend recommends this place. read more
