The staff greeted me right away, explained my options clearly, and didn't pressure me into unnecessary services. The oil change was quick and also had my brakes done front and back to my 2016 Nissan and they stay over after 6 pm to complete the job. The assistant Manager was so kind and compassionate. I've been going to this Jiffy Lube for years and they've always been very nice. Took the car there today to check on a "maintenance" light that came on and was helped by Sam who was very nice and personable. He checked the oil and it was fine so he told me it was just a light issue. I had another light on as well that was a sensor issue so he reset both of them, then topped off our water. All for free and without ulterior motive or trying to sell me anything. We had a nice conversation, and in a world where everyone is trying to nickel and dime, I appreciated the friendly and genuine customer service that felt like I was truly being helped! I went into Jiffy Lube at 5630 7th ave. in Long Beach on June 9th to get a serpentine belt change (as listed on their website as a service they provide "starting at $169.99" depending on vehicle.) After calling and being advised they would need to get the 'belt' from a nearby auto parts store but they could do it. I then suggested I buy the part myself and just have them install it which was agreed upon. A mechanic friend of mine had told me it was a pretty simple process and I could "google" how to do it, which I did, but decided to have a professional install it to be safe. When I arrived a couple hours later they told the Mechanic that knew how to do it was out and they were not sure when he was coming back. They then suggested I come back the next day before lunch when he will be there for sure. They also suggested I pay in advance which was fine so I could get in and out faster. I agreed until they said "That will be $245.00" , and I said "for what?, I have the part, and your website says $169.99". They then proceeded to say it was for "predicted labor costs, this service may take 2 hours" and I then said "I watched 5 YouTube videos and they all took around 20 min at the most". The technician then once again spoke with his 'manager' after my protesting this outrageous cost and came back and said it would now be $175.00. Well, still a bit frustrated with this entire process and having to get this done, I said ,screw it, I'll agree to that if the mechanic will be here. I did get it done and I timed the repair and it did take about 20 min. I just found this incredibly disingenuous and dishonest and felt like I was being ripped off and taken advantage of. I needed to write this experience to people do their own research if possible on what repairs cost. This Jiffy Lube will, it seems, will try and charge as much as they can to unsuspecting clients.... read more

A few years ago, I was in a car accident and took my vehicle to a body shop for repairs. Unfortunately, they did a poor job--specifically with the left wheel. The control arm had been improperly installed, making the wheel dangerously loose. I had no idea anything was wrong until Sam, the manager at Jiffy Lube, took the time to personally inspect my car. He discovered the issue and explained how serious it could have been--especially if the wheel had failed while I was driving on the freeway. Sam went above and beyond to make sure I was safe. He had me call the dealer to see if it was under warranty so I wouldn't have to pay if it was. I am sad to see all the negative reviews. We've always had a great experience with this Jiffy Lube. We bring our car here for oil changes and we get in and out so quickly and always have great service. Just recently, we had our brakes and rotors changed out here as well and we were very satisfied with the fast and high quality work that the brake technician did for us. Always very respectful. We never feel like they are trying to upsell us or being shady in any way. We just pay for the oil change and move on without feeling guilty for not getting something more. We get 20% coupons in our email all the time too, which really cuts down the cost even further. The bathrooms and waiting area are clean and you can make yourself a coffee from the Keriug while you wait. One last bonus for us is that we can walk over to the Blue Burro or Afters Ice Cream while we wait for the work to get done. Highly recommend this location for your regular maintenance. This has been our life hack for getting around paying through the nose and getting hustled at the dealership. This Jiffy Lube has always come through for us. read more

Went in for a routine oil change, but service technician found that my brakes were basically metal-to-metal so they actually showed me that the brake pads I had were dangerously thin. They were not pushy like some repair places are. Sam test drove the car to make sure it was all good before I left. I've heard mixed reviews in the past regarding Jiffy Lube in general, so my expectations were low..however, I'm happy to say, I'm impressed! Highlights of my quick trip: 1. Straight forward and pleasant customer service. For once, I didn't feel too pressured to do any other service. 2. Fast service. I got there at 8:30am and was done by 9:00am 3. Deals: Upon check-in via Yelp, I was able to redeem a $20 off coupon for my oil change. My oil change was a little under $100 after discount was applied. Of note, coupon is also available online. 4. Indoor waiting area with several seats and coffee. And the cherry on top? They vacuumed and cleaned my windows. What a nice gesture to add to any service. read more

Lupe provided us with excellent service. So did our technician. We used a coupon and he made sure Lupe knew we had it. It was hot the last few days and he told us he had bought drinks for all the guys working there. My favorite part was that they DIDNT check my breaks but were happy to when I asked. Big shout out the the workers who ran out to the street yesterday 6/22/23 at approx 0845-0900 hrs, to help a vehicle that looked like the driver was in distress. I drove by the car that was stopped in the middle of the road inching along. The guys ran out opened the passenger door as well as the drivers door, probably thinking as I was, that maybe a Medical emergency was going on. Was my 2nd time going to the 7th St. location a few wks ago - early Saturday a.m. You can sit in your car, wait in lobby or hang out at Target across the street. I waited in lobby. While they did my oil change - they also vacuumed my car mats & cleaned my windows as a courtesy. Not sure if all Jiffy Lubes do that, but is an awesome thing to do & was greatly appreciated. Went in for an oil change and one hour later my car wouldn't start and all these lights were flashing. Had to call AAA and they told me the battery was completely dead and needed to be replaced. When one hour prior the employee at jiffy lube told me my battery was in good condition. When I called back to discuss the service my car was provided the employee was rude and short. I've been coming to this jiffy lube for almost 3 years now and I have to say I have never been disappointed! The lady who works behind the desk is always super nice and makes sure that you have everything that you need done. I typically come here for oil changes and they are always super quick with it. The longest I've waited in the past was about 30-40 minutes. I have never had any issues with them either. Depending on what you need I would say the pricing is reasonable. When you get an oil change they also clean your windows, vacuum the floor, and they also check other fluids as well! read more

I have been taking my car to Jiffy Lube's all across this country and I have heard stories here and there of them doing something wrong and damaging a vehicle. I never had any problems personally until my last oil change. Finally my time had come. They failed to replace my oil filter correctly during my oil change. Something that has never happened in all the oil changes I have had on my 23-year-old vehicle. As a result of their error, I ended up with a massive oil leak. It didn't happen right away but gradually over time and by the time I took it to a shop to have it diagnosed, the technician said the filter just fell off in his hand when he touched it. That is not normal. I called Jiffy Lube and asked them to cover the charges for the new oil filter, the oil that had to be replaced, and the diagnostic fee. Not surprisingly, they gave me push back, refused to own their mistake and proceeded to offer me a free oil change as consolation. They refused reimbursement for the other charges because they said I should have brought it back to them. Like I'm supposed to know that they screwed up and didn't place my filter correctly. I was freaking out that I was going to have a massive repair bill. When the shop told me it was a just a minor fix due to a loose oil filter, they weren't going to just let me have my diagnostic fee back. I had to pay that diagnostic fee because I had a massive oil leak caused by the technician at this Jiffy Lube store. I told the manager, Danny, that it was extremely disappointing that they don't stand by quality of their work. Apparently the owner also didn't want to stand by the quality of his work either. So I highly recommend you go somewhere else. Corporate will be hearing from me too. They should be embarrassed. To show you what they refused to reimburse, it was a $140 diagnostic fee, $5 oil filter, and $12 of new engine oil to replace what leaked out. For that, they have lost a life-long customer. They had a golden opportunity to make it right and they screwed it up. For perspective, each oil change costs me almost $90. They would have made that up in 2 visits. Goodbye Jiffy Lube, I have other choices and so do you. read more

I pulled up and waited to be directed into a bay. Dude waved me forward and as I started pulling forward he came to the side of my car so stopped and rolled my window down. He said where are you going? I said I thought you were waving me forward (I am not even in the bay, I stopped as soon as he came to my window). He rolled his eyes and said whatchu want? I've never had an issue at this Jiffy Lube. I've been going here for years and they are always very friendly and super duper fast. I've tried a few other Jiffy Lube's in the area and waited at least double the time - they're always so quick here. I was reading some of the other reviews that mentioned that people felt like they were being upsold or told they couldn't have the cheapest oil - I've never had this issue. I've easily been able to say no to certain services or offers and it's never been a big deal for me. I've also come here during COVID and it was extremely clean and everyone was wearing masks. Anywho, Adrienne was honest, knowledgeable (gave me feedback on what needed to be done in the future but outside of their scope = tire replacement), and very COURTEOUS. God knows how many times I was called ma'am haha! That's who you want to represent your establishment on the first customer interaction. It sets the tone. A true professional and had a positive attitude that radiates regardless of being called "Ma'am or Sir." Not to forget the rest of the guys who were so nice and made me feel at ease leaving my car in their hands for 10-15 mins. Maybe the team culture here is pretty solid. We live right down the street from this Jiffy Lube location. My husband has gone for an oil change a few times in the past, with no issues. However, when I, a female with my 18 mo old son, took the car in for a service, they tried to up-sell me. I told them to look at all the previous oil changes, and they told me that the previous mechanics all made a mistake. They literally refused to put in the regular oil, and I walked away. Today my husband went back to see what they would say, and he was given the regular oil. Take away from this story what you will. read more
