The waiting area is modern and comfortable with light pop music playing. There's coffee and water available which is probably more for parents bringing their kid patients here. Speaking of waiting- I've never waited more than 5 minutes. Appointments run on time and I appreciate that. All the staff is super helpful and friendly. I appreciate they take the time to ensure I am comfortable and i always learn something new about teeth whenever I visit from the kind dental assistants. Dr. Lu is quick and efficient as well. He's a soft talker so sometimes I miss hearing his requests to open or shut or whatever. Additionally I would really prefer if he sat me up in the chair before giving me the lowdown on how things are going. The receptionists are great at finding appointments that fit with my schedule. They send an immediate email with the appointment information. And a couple days before I receive a text message reminder too. Overall I am pleased with the care I am receiving. My teeth are looking better than ever and I appreciate this clean and efficient orthodontic practice.

I have been going to Alexandria Braces for almost five years now (three sets of braces, two…read moreexpanders, two kids) and have noticed a very kind environment and staff. So far everything has gone smoothly! My oldest daughter is now on her second set of braces after having an expander and her teeth are looking great! My youngest currently has braces and has recently gotten her expander out. We've done both metal and ceramic braces and even though ceramic are more pricy, we have had significantly less problems and my child reports that they are much more comfortable! The decision to switch to ceramic for my daughter's second round was tricky at first, but definitely worth it! If you're considering getting ceramic instead of metal and it's not wildly out of your price range, I would definitely say go for it! Alexandria Braces has done a great job with everything, and even though we've had a few hiccups, over all an amazing experience!

As mentioned in my first review I really liked Dr. Lee and was confident that he knew what he was doing. I understand the stress of relocating/opening a new location. In regard to the business aspect that I mentioned in the previous post everything has done a 360. I get a call and e-mail days before my actual appointment. I also like the fact that they have Saturday appointments available, that totally helps if you have a 9-5. I've had my braces on now for over a month and I absolutely love them. At my appointment to have the braces put on Dr. Lee told me that he used a new type of wire which helped with the pain. He said the first day I'd be alright but to brace myself for the second and third day. I honestly felt no pain, like none at all!!! I remember getting braces the first time (in 2006) and I couldn't eat for like a week. Granted, my teeth were a little jacked up, so that may have had something to do with the pain lol. I really appreciate the fact that Dr. Lee called me personally to check on me a couple of days after the braces were put on. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee and his staff to anyone

He's never had a cavity and there's been no up selling ever. I trust Dr. McDonald and her crew to give us honest, compassionate care. Office staff is efficient and sweet. As far as I can tell they haven't sold out to a big dental corp. Hope they never do.

He has not closely followed the protocol for Invisalign, but Dr. Mina has been an absolute gem: giving gentle encouragement or matter-of-fact redirection as needed. I received excellent and reasonably priced treatment for realigning my upper and lower teeth to not hit (and prevent damage!) - and it was always such a nice experience. Good people who really care and really know their stuff. Whether you wind up primarily seeing the fabulous Dr. Mina or Dr. Bob (what a card!), you can't go wrong. Also loved that they can make their own "Invisilign," which is a more approachable option and works all the same. My son just got his braces yesterday and he has Autism and ADHD and her staff were kind and patient with his questions and made sure that he felt comfortable. My granddaughter was very scared (bad prior dental experience). Dr. Mensah explained every step to her in a way she could understand (i.e. sugar bugs are not good for your teeth, we are going to put them to sleep, then washing them away and covering up the tooth so they can't come back). Dr. Mensah's patience, empathy and singing (she made up songs about the sugar bugs) was amazing and got through the whole procedure in a very efficient manner. My granddaughter was Hi-Fiving with her by the time we were done. My granddaughter wants to go back to the dentist again. I am very grateful to Dr. Mensah for completely changing my granddaughter's feelings about going to the dentist, she can't wait to go back now. Thank you!
