This was my 2nd visit to Bakery Square and I'm glad I finally got an opportunity to eat at GGs café. The café is run by two sisters-Meredith and Christine who also operate a custom bake shop in Homewood called SugarxButter. Everything here is made from scratch. I was asking about their chicken dishes which is their signature item and at their suggestion got their daily special-Alabama chicken with hot sauce. My son who was with me got their jackfruit cakes-being vegan along with a side of fried green beans, and Brussel Sprouts. Being part of Galley Bakery Square you need to grab your table before you order so you can give them your table number. You can also scan the menu with the barcode located on the table menu. When paying by credit card the credit card fee is passed onto you. This fee is not done by the individual concept but rather the Galley itself. Expect to pay more since these people are chefs. Once seated we got our food with minimal wait. My chicken was so good and had the right amount of spicy kick to it without being overbearing. My son loved his jackfruit cakes and shared some of his fried green beans and Brussel Sprouts with me. Meredith had prepared a special green dipping sauce for the green beans. They were very good and of course being fried, very filling. The Brussel Sprouts were good as well. I wanted to end my meal with one of their homemade chocolate chip cookies which I had before but alas, they had sold out of them. They promised to reserve one for me on my next visit. Having had that cookie before I must say it was delicious and with the added touch of them putting whipped cream on it and a cherry makes it a dessert delicacy over just another cookie. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at Galley Bakery Square. The South Parking garage offers you two hours of free parking when you come during a certain timeframe. Definitely a great meal with homemade goodness!

6 tough ribs and a side of Mac and cheese for $22. Not a fan.

Really disappointed. Place my order and they never asked for a table number so I had to stand around and wait. The guy walked by me several times with other orders and never thought to mention I could go sit at a table ( my wife had a table at the other end of the room). Then when my order came out it sat on the counter for a good five minutes until he finally came up to me and asked what I ordered ( there was only 1 or 2 people who ordered in-between). There was another guy waiting next to me who seemed to be having the same issue. More disappointment ensued when I got my food. The rib "special" was terrible. The ribs were drenched in bbq sauce but were super tough and flavorless. At least the Mac and cheese was good. The service hopefully gets better over time, but not sure I'll be back if the food doesn't improve.

Yuuuum! I've been to Galley multiple times, but this was my first time trying GG's. I highly recommend! The chicken was very juicy! I was impressed! The drinks (mango lemonade and berry lemonade) were delicious as well!!! My friend had the salmon salad and the salmon smelled and looked amazing! It was cooked perfectly! Will definitely be back! Plenty of parking available!

Located in Galley Bakery Square. We ordered the loaded fries and they were so delicious! Topped with buffalo chicken and blue cheese, perfect appetizer to share with friends!

I ordered the salmon salad which was ok - there was nothing spectacular or negative about it. I did however ask for the french fries to be on the side. instead I got a side order of fries for $6 and fries still on my salad

The food is amazing. I've been here twice ! Love that they are in Bakery galley ! I've had their salmon & macaroni. The cabbage was so yummy (I don't even really like cabbage) it was sensed perfect ! The best part is that it's Black owned !

Salmon, Brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, and strawberry lemonade.

The Food is good but a bit expensive for Café. I would not recommend. The Security was excellent.

Had an awesome experience during my first visit to Pizza Parma Shadyside! The young woman working…read morethe counter was friendly and very helpful. She answered all of our questions and showed us pictures of some menu items we had questions on. We ordered the Pepperoni Boat, two gyros as they were BOGO on the day we went, and the Buffalo fries. She said it would be about 10 to 15 minutes, and that was accurate. The food was all excellent! The gyros are a great size, and adding feta to them really elevates the tastes. They are good without the add on though, as we had one with and one without. The Buffalo fries were crispy and great paired with the ranch. The Pepperoni Boat was my personal favorite. It is similar to a pizza but no red sauce on the boat, it is on the side. We had plenty of leftovers, also! The shop is small but there is one table for dine-in. We chose to eat in, but if you go the table might already be occupied, just FYI! Not to our order, but we witnessed a customer who got an item mixed up in their order. The staff was very nice and expedited their correct item, having it out within minutes of the customer returning. A woman came out to personally apologize for the mistake. It showed great care by the staff for the customers and the product they sell. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu, and an actual pizza from here. Everything was great, staff was wonderful, and it was overall an awesome experience.

This is definitely a local gem. The location I visited was off Fifth Ave not too far from Carlow University, which is where we were dropping our kid off at college. I heard the chicken and catfish were really good and you get your money worth. There was free parking. No place to eat inside just seats for waiting. Cash only!! There is an ATM inside the restaurant. Staff was friendly. I kept adding on to my large order. Gotta fed the kids. Lol! They cook to order so nice hot, fresh food! Fries were seasoned and delicious. Catfish and oysters were really good. Catfish had just right amount crisp to the nuggets. Oysters good as well. My dad said the shrimp were good. I haven't been able to eat shrimp lately. My son said the chicken wings were really good. Cole slaw was decent and I normally do not eat that out but it was. The staff was nice. The location had ample parking. Nice portion size for money paid. Food was really good. The only downside which I think is universal was fries not good in microwave layer. Wish I had my airfryer to bring them back to life. Anyway, check out Hook in Pittsburgh!!
