This is a pretty good spot to stop off at on your way out of Gettysburg. I had the signature sandwich, it was OK (standard bar food), but the waffle fries were fantastic and the ranch.....whoa. I'm from the south, and we love our ranch. Most places fall short on the ranch, but this place has a five-star ranch. I get that my review is mostly about the ranch, but yeah. thank you, Eric, for responding, I guess you could say I am not used to taking photos of my food. I know tons of people do that. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was a tiny bit on the dry side, but still tasted good, and the fries were delicious. Most of my dining experiences have been good, and coming to your restaurant was a welcome difference to a recent experience in Harper's Ferry where the food was served to us cold and the waitstaff practically ignored us until I had to yell out to the waitress to remind her we weren't invisible. Our waitress, Amanda H, was do kind, attentive, she really did a fantastic job. The main floor was crowded, so we were taken to the upper level. After climbing to the top of the PA memorial temple building on the battlefield, climbing a bunch of steps wasn't what I wanted to do, but once there it was a nice big room, and I liked looking out the window at the street view. I think the town is very quaint. I look forward to coming back on a future visit and look forward to dining in Gettysburg Eddie again. Thank you and your staff read more

We were in town to play the vintage baseball tourney so it was proper we visit a baseball (&Civil War of course) themed tavern. Drinks were pretty good & farily priced and our sweet & lovely Julianne Moore looking barmaid/waitress (name? urgh) couldn`t have been more on point in the upstairs room even with our table of 10 hungry guys and other patrons. The food was `ok` (but waaaay better than the trainwreck nearby of Appalachian brewing). Most of our crew seemed to enjoy the food (I had what was basically a french dip w/roast pepps & onions pretty good).The onion soup could use some help. The app of `mozz sticks` was obviously factory. This was surprising b/c a proper kitchen should be able to throw locally breaded mozz in the fryer.Owners-It`s not applebees maybe tweak some things?.Heard they had a new owner (no tshirts??? we wouldv`e bought 12-15 shirts right there and someone else a table nearby asked abt them). Stopped in today, they were quite busy. Was told about a 35 minute wait. No problem, nice weather out so we shopped at the souvenir store next door and sat on a bench to wait. Restaurant inside appearance was nice, sat at a table 1/2 booth, with 2 chairs. Background music was at the right level. You didn't need to talk over the noise. Waitress was attentive. Ordered french onion soup, which was very good! I ordered a cheesesteak and enjoyed it! My daughter had a club sandwich and it was huge- she took 1/2 of it home. Fantistic little place in town with no wait and a huge parking lot outback. We went to other restaurants but parking is a nightmare or you have to wait 30-45 min to be seated. We walked right in and were seated immediately. Our table had a delicious crab cake sandwich to die for, french dip and chef salad. All really good. The baseball theme was kinda cool. My wife and I wanted to like this place based on reviews from both Yelp and Trip Advisor. However, our experience wasn't that great. It's an average bar that serves below average food with below average service. The menu is extensive, too extensive. When you're a small bar/restaurant with a large menu, it's probably hard to be more than mediocre. You have to keep a lot of product on hand. Anyway, after our server showed up, our drinks were brought promptly and the food came out quickly after we ordered it. All in all it was below average, not terrible though. Incidentally, the server did forget to bring out the apple fritter that my wife had ordered and to his credit offered to get it brought out right away. She declined. Hopefully, if you go, you'll have a better experience than we did. read more
