They told us to come in and one would be helped first then the other once finished. The time we spent at the nail salon was approx. two hours (for both of us) but basically an hour each. I got gel mani ($35) + pedicure ($60, for B. Service- which included scrubbing). My sister in law got acrylic nails 65? ( i think) and gel pedicure (60) We both enjoyed their friendly service and how quick they were able to get it done even though when we entered it was really busy! I have had my nails done in different countries and states and D is by far, THE BEST nail technician I have ever encountered. He takes his time doing nails, masters the curved nails I love and takes good care of the actual nail when needed. Michelle is my preference for pedicures but that's just how it's been since I started going there. She gives the best foot massages. The lady who did my nails was lovely and patient as I struggled to commit to a color. They only take cash and only have gel but the price is great with an acrylic fill at I believe $50. Again, my lady was great and she literally spent like an hour perfecting the new shape until they were flawless. Buyer beware.. I went in for an emergency walk-in and when it was time to pay, they refused to accept credit cards, Venmo, PayPal or any form of digital payment. I had to go across the street to an ATM. Basic gel mani pedi was $75 plus tip. If they charge that much they should at least offer customers the ability to pay with a credit card. read more

I LOVE this place! I don't understand what people are talking about when they say poor customer service or give them less than four or five stars. I have been going here for a few years and have never walked away unhappy. I agree that some things can be a little pricey but the prices are posted. There is also a sign that says cash only. If I were going to downgrade them at all that would be the only reason but they are worth it. I see Dee and do pay a little more but it is absolutely worth it. His acrylics don't lift and the gels don't chip. He is amazing and creative at nail art and worth every penny. I just give him cash and say this is how much I have and you can do whatever you would like. And he does an amazing job. But I love trying new things so that works for me. Dee and Tiffany are amazing and I have never seen them give anything other than excellent customer service. I see Michelle for my pedicures and I'm always more than satisfied. In fact I have never been dissatisfied when I have found it necessary to see another one of their technicians. Someone else did my toes today and he was great! having said all of this I should point out that I never write reviews this long but seeing people complain really irritated me considering how sweet and genuine these folks are. This is certainly a No-Frills Salon. Believe you me. I needed an emergency gel mani and pedicure since I was leaving town and my regular manicurist cancelled on me. I called DEET and he was able to pencil me in the next day. Color Me Happy. The only problem is I had a hair appointment at the same time so we agreed that I would come in at 10:15 a.m. I was on time. Unfortunately they weren't. I had to wait until 10:45 until someone could even start working on my manicure and 11:05 before anyone would even start working on my pedicure. Seriously??? This was not cool. The person that did my nails didn't even speak English so anything I said had to be translated. That concerns me since how did she get her license here if she doesn't even speak English. I never saw any licenses posted anywhere. I have previously read another review about this place not sterilizing there tools so I was concerned. I was extremely concerned about this because my manicurist cut all along the sides of my cuticles. I've been getting my nails for 30 yrs and never once has anyone ever done this to me. She even cut the skin underneath my nails. Again, I've never had this done before. Now I'm so worried I'm going to have an infection. One of my nails look ridiculously swollen today and I'm currently out of town and unable to do anything about this. I I really hope that the owner is reading these Yelp reviews because this shouldn't be okay anywhere, no matter an affordable joint Lesson learned. Where do I even start?! The setting: Small, compact, and not a friendly or comfortable vibe. They don't have a lot of room so you might feel a little claustrophobic while waiting. Cleanliness on a scale of 1-10 I'd say 6. Customer service: This is one of the main reasons I'm giving them 1 star. I feel like you don't have to be great at what you do (although that would be a plus) nor does the place have to be sheek and shabby (although with prices like theirs, it should be), however if the customer service is great, I can excuse all of that. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, which sucked. I was just given the stare so therefore I just kindly seated myself in their little waiting area (about 4-5 chairs). Finally one of the techs stared at me for so long I said something "I just need a fill and pedicure please." When it was done, I was charged $77 but I remembered I asked for two butterflies so I asked her if that included the design and she said "no. You want?" And I replied "yes, I still want them." So she replied "okay $25 more." So I proceeded to pull my debit card out and she said "we only accept cash" and started pushing my debit card away. As if there was some big sign that I shoulda noticed before I sat down to receive their services. I asked where there was an atm and she pointed to the wall. I was unsure what she meant so I said "outside?" Because there was no atm where she pointed. Then she responded "yes!" I said "okay, outside or next door?" I didn't remember seeing one where she pointed when I walked in. And she said "yes!" Whatever that meant. She reached for my phone to leave it behind as if I was about to walk out and not pay. So I grabbed it back and left my keys. She could have asked if I could leave something instead of trying to take it herself. I walked outside and saw there was no ATM so I walked into the store next to the salon. I went back inside the nail salon and paid her. Then she asked me to sit and wait for one of the only two nail techs in there to do my butterflies. While patiently waiting, I started looking at my nails and noticed some unevenness in the French tip design as well as a black spot on my nails. So I brought this to my nail techs attention and she said "it's underneath". Clearly. So I asked, "there's no way to remove it?!" Which we all know there is, however she didn't wanna do what it took to remove it which was file the gel down and recoat the acrylic. So at that point I didn't even want to point anything else out as she already had an uninviting attitude. While I waited, I started talking to another customer who was in the middle of getting her nails done. I asked if she came here often, she said "yes." Then I asked her if she only goes to the nail tech who was doing her nails. She said "yah. Him or the guy over there" and pointed to the guy I had been waiting for to do my butterflies. (15mins later). In the middle of us talking, her nail tech says "I don't want u talking to other customers" to her in what may have been a joking manner, however, I don't know him or her so it was uncalled for an made me feel uncomfortable. After that, I walked out and won't be returning. I would have tipped but $77 for a fill with French tip and a gel pedicure is already enough for work that isn't all that great. It's not even about the price but the services have to match otherwise what is the point. I can pay $77 at Laque for the same services, a better atmosphere, and better customer service with a free drink. I won't be going back here nor will I be referring anyone here. It's sad that these nail salons don't have set prices, don't have good customer service, and usually only have one good nail tech on shift. They're taking up space in our neighborhoods just to take our money and carry on with life. Meanwhile we have to get stuck with their mediocre services. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I only post reviews when its something truly horrible. Today I took my diabetic grandmother to get a pedicure (being diabetic she always maintains her feet nice and clean for over 20 years getting pedicures) and the lady was being rough so I mentioned that shes diabetic and to please be more gentle. Let me back track, first of all my grandmother just had surgery about a month ago so she has to sit down carefully and the pedi lady was pushing my grandmother to sit down faster and I told her to give her time she can sit down without help she just does it slowly to not hurt her back. So I didn't like the fact that she was trying to rush my grandma to sit down that was strike one. Back to the pedi, after I mentioned to them to be more gentle, the lady finished the pedicure in like 10 minutes!! She did barely a wash on her feet and then I saw her painting her nails right away after drying. In other places they take their time with the scrub and massage especially paying $20!!!! Keep in mind that it was regular nail polish NOT gel and it was still expensive for the 10 min pedicure. I could've done that at home myself. I complained to the younger man that works there I think hes in charge but I'm not sure. His excuse was that because my grandma is diabetic the procedure is different and they have to be more "gentle". I went on to tell him that she always gets pedis so she knows what to expect. They barely washed her feet. Not even sure if they did the scrub they usually do with pedis. This was the last chance I give this place! The last time I went to get a full set for myself and they put a what seemed to be new hire because one of the other employees was giving her directions on what to do next. That wasn't the issue but what my issue was that when she took off her gloves to being my manicure the skin on her hands were peeling as if she had fungas all over her hands!!! It was so disturbing but I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I held it in. I just don't understand how they can allow that. It is so unsanitary! Everytime I've been here (if you're not one of their regulars) they give you the minimal treatment. I'm good at tipping because I know what it's like to work hard for it but when you get treated like this place treats you I'm sorry but I am not tipping! Today's experience was horrible. No apologies from anyone in there. It was basically "oh you didn't like it? Welp that's how we work here" $20 bucks wasted. I rather pay the extra $10 and take her to a good place in Marina del Rey. Don't waste your money or time here. They'll treat you good if it looks like you have money only though. read more

The second time I got a pedicure and the technical cut the sides of my toenails down below the nail and I was bleeding. Then he put my feet in the water - ok.
