My sister and I came here for pedicures knowing that it wouldn't be a well-kept or hygienic place. Tools were reused and there is no plastic cover in the foot basin, no hot towels are used either. They had to add nail polish remover to both of our polishes bc they were running out. The location is right next to the very sketchy, unsafe 7/11, so be aware of the characters you'll see. The woman giving me a pedicure was definitely past retirement age, and that made me sad :( Overall, affordable pedicure and within walking distance so I would probably be willing to come back. I came here last Friday on a whim for a gel manicure. One of my cousins recommended this particular salon because she really likes the technician Stacey who works there. I called ahead of time to see if they had availability. They informed me that they did and I drove right in. The salon was empty, that should have been my red flag number one but I decided to still give them a try since LA was going through a particularly nasty heat wave. While everyone there is very friendly, the salon is very underwhelming and a tad bit "dumpy". Especially if you're going to charge $27 for a gel manicure. I figured that since my cousin raves about this place that maybe it was a hidden gem or that maybe their wrk would speak for itself. Kimmy did my actual manicure, she was nice enough. Very quiet. I was the only customer in the salon so she just chatted with the other employees. She then passed me over to Lisa who did my nails. My left hand came out beautiful and opaque and lovely, my right hand was streaky. I chose a white color so I asked if she could do another layer. She did and everything looked fine but upon further inspection, there were bubbles so she used a nail clipper to literally CLIP them off and add another coat to hide them. The other thing is she started the polish so far from my cuticle that literally 3 days later, my mani looked grown out. I really wanted to love this place but personally, the amount they charge isn't equal to the quality of work. Also, parking is horrendous. It's right next to a laundry mat and the lot was full, I had to drive around several times and ended up parking in front of a nearby apartment. Side note.... someone smelled like booze. Not naming names but it just comes off as really unprofessional. $27 plus tip for TWO technicians ended up costing close to $40 and I'm just not in love. I personally wouldn't recommend this spot but it may work for someone else. read more

Horrible job! Gel manicure was so nasty I was embarrassed, the gel on my finger cuticles were so thick, it looked runny and the color to my toes didn't match. I told the lady it didn't look good to leave it alone, and she refused and said the alcohol will rub off the unwanted gel on my fingers. Which it wasn't true. The lady that did my pedicure kept using her sharp nail to clean out the excess nail polish off my nails. It hurts!!!!! The reason why I came here was because it was a emergency and needed a mani and pedi for that night... not to mention I was charged $43 for a shitty job.. Oh forgot to add, I had to sit there and listen to a annoying girl sitting next to me talk about the size of a diamond ring she wanted and just bragging to the poor nail lady, as if she cares what your boyfriend buys you or thinks!!!!! Had a mother/daughter mani pedi date with my sisters. Since there were four of us total, we basically took up everyone that was in the shop to treat us. I only got a manicure put Stacy did a fantastic job on my nails. I didn't feel restrained to ask her for suggestions. Not only that, but she ended up having to alternate between doing my and my sister's gel manicure. Regardless, she was efficient and I loved how my nails turned out! read more

Stacie did a fantastic job with my manicure and pedicure! She took her time to make sure they came out exactly how I wanted. The massage chair was nice too. The only reason why I'm giving this venue 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was hoping that there would be a larger selection of nail polishes and that the polishes were organized better. I have no words for the terrible job two technicians did on myself and my friend. We both asked for gel manis: I asked for square filed nails and ended up with short uneven, round nails with messy edges. My friend ended up with uneven nails that still had remaining gel from previous color and to spare herself she asked for clear polish. To make things worse, I asked my nail technician to help me clean the sides and she blamed my nail length for the terrible work. Please avoid this place. read more

My girls at Caressa up the street are closed on Tuesdays, and Tuesday was my only day off...so I set off to find another place close by for a pedi and a fill. This place---like so many nail salons---is in a nondescript strip mall, and the ambiance is nothing to write home about...but it was inexpensive and there was no wait, so I gave them a try. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, because they're definitely not quick. What they lack in speed they make up for in attention to detail, though...and it was my day off, so I was in no rush. They did an awesome job, and the ladies were super friendly. I will definitely return...as long as I've got a few hours to spare ;) read more

They did a really good thorough job! I came in for a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. My total came to $30 which broke out like this: $16 spa pedicure $5 callus removal $8 eyebrow wax $1 credit card fee The eyebrow wax was done perfectly and she shaped my brows nicely, and took the time to pluck the few strays that the wax didn't get. She ended it by adding some soothing lotion and gave me a small temple massage. As the other reviews mention, they really take their time with the pedicures so don't come here if you're in a hurry. I had a bunch of calluses that I had neglected for awhile and they put on the callus remover, wrapped my feet in plastic, let them sit awhile and then went to town scrubbing them. My feet are soft and smooth now! The rest of the pedicure followed the same meticulous detail and I'm really happy with how my toenails were done. The ladies are all very nice even put my shoes on for me at the end. This place is certainly not fancy but I feel relaxed and pampered after my visit. read more

If I could give them 0 stars then I would. I came here a few months ago since it was across the street from where I was getting my car detailed. I was in a hurry that day as I had a big event in a few hours. I thought I would get a quick pedicure and save time rather than just sitting and waiting on my car to be detailed. First of all, there was no one there at the time they were supposed to open on a Saturday morning. The one person who opened the store (late) already had a client who had been waiting on her. So, I waited until someone else showed up to work. The person who did my nails cut my cuticles to the point that they were bleeding, and I later developed scabs from the healing process! The sad part was, I got no real apology. It was more like shock that I was upset about my cuticles bleeding. What the...!?! Later, this person takes out a drill to buff my feet. Uhm... I get pedicures on a REGULAR basis and do not have any build up of dead skin on my heels. It was as if this person was some robot just doing the exact same procedure on anybody stupid enough to sit down in that store. Of course and probably not surprisingly, they use cheap products. So, the lotion does not moisturize, and the nail polish looks like acetone has been added multiple times to make it stretch. Normally, I only think to write about my positive experiences on Yelp, especially since I am rarely on here. However, this experience was TOO AWFUL for me not to warn other people. If you are okay with this place, good for you. To anyone who knows they can find better salon (especially at an equivalent price) then please heed this review! After looking for a decent pedi-medi spa, I was referred to "Great Line Nails & Spa". This was the best shop I've Ever been to. Lisa was my tech and was so accommodating and kind, I didn't think I was in a nail shop. The prices were reasonable, again I thought I was in the wrong place. The atmosphere was comfortable, very calming. I'm really glad my son referred me to them. He has been going there regularly so yes the do men also. I was not the only pleased client. My experience at the salon was not too bad, aside from a slightly messy job on my french tips...However, the next day, my polish on all ten fingers chipped so much, that I had to remove it. This has never happened before, and I was not washing dishes or doing any activity that would make this "my fault." And the funny part? I came here since I was in the neighborhood and boy was I disappointed. And to the point that I signed in to write my first review. The woman who did my pedicure was fine, but it felt a bit rushed and there was nothing special. The woman with short hair who did my hands was awful. She made one of my fingers bleed then trimmed my thumb nail so short that it hurts to type this. Cuticles were overlooked and my nails were not that nice looking after. They even looked dirty after. It's disappointing, this place is just 4 blocks from my new condo that I just moved into and I was excited to try it last thrurs. I really needed a pedicure and called in to ask how much they charged for a pedicure just so I would not be surprised. I was comforted by the lady that answered the phone because she sounded Vietnamese which is typically a decent sign. She repeated my question back to me just to confirm and then told me pedicures were $10. A steal I thought which made me even more anxious to try this place out. I got there and even though the lady on the phone told me there was no wait and to come in, I ended up waiting to get into a chair. OK no problem. However then when they finally got me into a chair I realized it was broken. Which I should have assumed by how old and run down the place looked, but once again ok fine its 10 bucks I don't expect a spa. I just grabbed a pillow from the chair next to me to avoid the broken massage mechanism in the chair from digging into my back. Then came the 15 minute wait for one of the two ladies working to finally get to me, there was a male "manager" but he clearly was not there to do anything which it typical in these type of places. Then the lady that did get to me was still working on another customer so she kept going back and forth and was clearly more interested in servicing the other lady. Which I totally understand, she was getting the works and I was just in there for a simple pedicure, so of course the works lady is going to tip more. But then when it took her 35+ minutes to do a simple pedicure it started to get ridiculous. Then when I was finally done she told me it was $15. I told her I called in and was told pedicures were $10. They all started yelling at each other in Vietnamese for well over a minute. My ear drums got tired and I turned to the manager and told him, "look I called in over an hour ago now and was told by a lady on the phone that it was $10 and that there was no wait please come in". He then turned to the girls yelled in Vietnamese and walked away. I assumed that was the solution so I handed the girl a hundred dollar bill which created its own set of issues. All three of them were scrambling around to try and find change. Then the lady barked at me "you use credit card!" which I responded sure, but then she said there was a $1 charge so I then refused. Why should I be forced to pay a service fee even if it's $1 for something I didn't want to use in the first place? Then one of them finally got their purse out and they were able to make change. Of course when I counted the change they had only given me $85.... They charged me $15 after all that. I called in the following day to speak with a manager and while I was waiting I asked the lady what they charged for a pedicure. And guess what she said "only $10 you come in now no wait".... I just laughed and hung up. Here is the thing $15 dollars is not really expensive but don't bait and switch your customers! The lady ended up doing a decent job, not sure if it was her doing or the fact that my feet were soaking for 45 minutes. But I would have tried this place if the lady on the phone had said $10 or $15 or hell even $20.... It was 4 blocks away, and I hate to have to drive and park at these places. However now because they wanted to make an extra 5 bucks I will never return to this place. There are just too many good nail places on the west side to put up with this kind of service. I'll just walk the other direction or drive a little and I'm sure I'll get better places and service. read more

I came in here to try it since I frequent the restaurant next door... Anyway I had the gell nails in black and it was the most messiest nail job ever. It was melting on my way home. Disgusting it looked disgusting. I can upload a picture for proof. The lady that did my nails was a little rude and pushy. I told her the nail polish just must be old and she still insisted in painting my nails. I don't think I have ever really had bad experience in any nail shop before but this place. I will never come here every again. I came back the next day to get it re done and it didn't look much better than the previous night. I don't like being rushed when getting my nails done because of the reason of screwing it up. You guys needs to pay more attention to the art of your work. Try and be a little nicer next time too. Specially when you know you screwed up. Stop talking to each other in your language and apologize instead to the customer and give the upmost customer service. read more
