When you make a lifestyle change to cut out most meat and dairy (like I have) it is difficult to get anything pretty much anywhere. Flew in from Oregon, meeting up with two sisters, wanting organic, simple good food and found it here. The owner and wait staff were so patient and kind with our group and we truly appreciated that. I've been going here since they opened. The food is fresh and delicious. Although I'm now vegan and I don't eat tuna. Her spicy tuna salad is bomb just the right spicy kick. I haven't even taken a bite and this place is 5 stars! I'm in town visiting my parents and I placed a pick up order. I had some complications with my mom and wasn't able to pick it up. When I called to pay for the order I spoke to the manager, Andrea, and explained why I couldn't come in. She was kind enough to call me back and offer to drop off the food at my house even though I'm not that close. Great cafe! Support small businesses! This was a fantastic find here in Lancaster. They have lots of great vegan options ranging from healthy (salads) to less healthy (beyond burgers). They also have omnivore options! I had the taco salad with the cilantro lime dressing. The dressing was delicious - lots of flavor and perfectly balanced (not too salty!!). My husband had the roast beef sandwich and enjoyed it a lot too. Special shout out for their vegan tomato bisque -- you can really taste the fire-roasted tomatoes in there. WOW! This place is amazing. My mom and I came here for lunch and left so satisfied. As someone with celiac disease, i'm always searching for great cafes that offer reputable gluten free food. We shared the Mediterranean salad and a vegan pizza. Both were delicious! But what topped everything was the incredible gluten free chocolate chip cookie! I snagged the last one and it was THE BEST chocolate cookie I have ever had. We got to talk to the owner on the way out and she was beyond sweet, even gave us a complimentary gf dessert on the house. We ate there this weekend after a lovely visit to the poppy fields. Fantastic service, tasty food and comfy atmosphere! Our group tried the spicy tuna on sourdough which was great, very flavorful. Also had a faux cheese pizza and a great squash soup, served scalding hot, so be careful! We also tried a few of the smoothies which were excellent. Our fave was the peach /strawberry /mango. Highly recommended. We ate at a weird time, so the place was empty which was nice for us, but hope more folks give this a shot! Our first time here and I can honestly say they have a loyal customer! Vegan options in the AV area are very limited so was happy to find this little gem. We ordered the eggless "egg" salad sandwich because of the reviews, the not tuna sandwich, two gluten free vegan "meatball" pizzas, strawberry smoothie and green smoothie! Everything tastes amazing, the veggies were crisp and the atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and had good recommendations. The only thing is I would change the vegan Tuna sandwich name lol, it tasted nothing like tuna thank goodness!! When I heard Tuna it wasn't appealing and I almost skipped out on it and I'm glad I didn't it was really really good creamy with a light crunch with the delicious fresh taste of basil. Not knowing much about Lancaster I was surprised to stumble upon this great cafe. With a mixture of vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and regular foods. I came for lunch and had the spicy tuna sandwich, which I was happy to find out was made with vegan mayonnaise. I had a cup of meat free tortilla soup which was some of the best I've ever had, with big pieces of vegetables, melted vegan cheese don't worry it tastes real and tortilla chips to scoop up the melty deliciousness. Yumm!!! I've seen this place several times, but didn't go in until I saw the Yelp reviews. This place is the perfect example of how much better fresh food tastes! The lettuce on the sandwich isn't just iceburg, it's a nice leafy mixture... so good! I used the menu on line and called in my order. My order was ready for pick up within minutes of my arrival, so service is great! Definitely customer service oriented. I had the T-day sandwich on wheat bread. So filling because they are generous with the turkey. And the wheat bread was the tasty multi-grain bread with seeds in it. I ordered the macaroni salad because of the reviews. It had an oniony flavor which was good, but next time I would get the carrots for health reasons. I also tried a cup of squash soup. Keep in mind I picked up and took it back to my office about 5 minutes away. Soup was plenty hot!!! Actually had to put it aside for a little bit to cool down. It is a chunky squash soup with what seems to be carrots and peppers or tomates. I enjoyed it. The only problem is that there was so much flavor, I ate too much. I would definitely go there again. My only suggestion would be to allow a combo with 1/2 a sandwich and cup of soup or small salad. read more
