I used this shop several times in the past and never had a problem until recently. In July 2018, i did a complete rebuild of the rear suspension on my car. As is standard procedure on a job of this type, I noted the position of the alignment cam bolts, and took photos of them before starting to disassemble the suspension. I then returned those adjustment bolts to the same position after reassembling everything. I then scheduled an alignment at Gerry's to complete the project. When the alignment was finished, the bolts were adjusted to a significantly different position than where I had noted them. I thought this was odd but I figured the alignment geometry had changed due to the new and tighter bushings I had installed. Several months later in November it was time to swap my summer tires for the winter tires. i was very upset to discover that my tires were completely ruined because they were obviously not aligned correctly! I brought this concern to the owner (who was in no hurry to look into it. Couldn't get me in for several days). When they did finally get the car back on the alignment rack, I was told that everything was in spec and adjusted to where it should be. When I got home I checked the alignment bolts again, and somehow they had mysteriously moved back to approximately where they were back in July before starting my project. It was very clear to me that my car had been terribly misaligned and my tires ruined because of it. It was also very clear to me that the technician who worked on my car and/or the owner were trying to cover up their mistake. Once again I brought all of this to the attention of the owner. He told me he would work with me and give me a deal on some new tires. A couple months later, I stopped in at Gerry's once again to see about ordering my new tires. The "deal" was about $60 dollars higher than full price at one of the other local tires retailers. The owner said he couldn't help me because it would be money out of his pocket. Well what about the money out of my pocket? He made some comments about the questionable condition of the damaged tires trying to justify the situation by saying they were almost worn out anyway. Those tires had 9/32 tread on them before they were damaged and had plenty of life left! He finally offered me a free alignment next time. The more I thought about it the $112 free alignment doesn't make up for my $300 tires that they ruined! I get that mistakes happen. A good shop will do the right thing and eat the cost of their mistake to make things right with the customer. As far as I'm concerned, Gerry's owes me $300! I won't be returning, and I will be telling everyone about my experience with this unprofessional shop! read more

I removed two leaking tires, still on the rim, threw them in the back of my truck, and brought them to Gerry's in Sept. 14. I foolishly didn't ask for an estimate before leaving, and when I returned 1 hour later they told me 1 tire had a rim seal leak and the other a bad stem They did not remove the tires from the rim, and the stem they said they replaced sure look as worn as the other three, so I thinks it was 2 rim leaks. They broke the tire down, and inflated them again. They charged me $36. I've been taking tires in for repair for decades and when you remove the tire from the vehicle yourself and bring it to them, it's usually between 7 and 12 dollars; that's if they have to PLUG THEM! These guys just resealed the rim! I've taken my car here before (4 years ago) for an oil change and rotate, so I wasn't a stranger. They knew me, and they knew I give them business, and they still gouged me. read more

My husband has used Gerry's for years for his cars at the recommendation of his mechanic. I took my car in for a second opinion on a problem tire. A chain tire dealer had misdiagnosed the problem and suggested I needed new tires. The guys at Gerry's fixed the problem and told me I wouldn't need new tires until the fall. I will definitely be back for those! The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that the waiting area needs some spiffing up (but I suppose you can always go next door to Tim Horton's). read more

I had a flat tire and went to Gerry's. They didn't have in the tire I needed but gave me enough air to get me through to the next morning. I came in the next morning and they had the tire as promised. They did a good job and the price was very reasonable. They didn't try to oversell me on anything. read more
