I have had the please of having Dr. Gerro and her staff take great care of my children for over 10 years. She is compassionate, knowledgeable and a committed physician. She is the "Marcus Welby" in a time when most practices run under strict RFUs. It's so nice not to be rushed or feel like a number. She is the best! read more

Dr. Gerro is experienced and listens to your concerns and takes her time to thoroughly address them. Her team is very caring and knowledgeable as well. They are always available to answer my questions. I have called the office with medical questions and Dr. Gerro has always called me back within the hour to address my issues. Taking my daughter to the doctor is always hassle free, we have never waited longer than a few minutes to go in or for the doctor to come see us. I would highly recommend Dr. Gerro and her team! read more

My teen daughter and I couldn't be happier to have switched to Dr. Gerro's practice. We can tell she deeply cares about her patients. I like that she takes her time to answer our questions, without rushing us. She is also very knowledgeable and thorough. In our case, we needed some last minute intervention and she was very understanding, patient and cooperative, all the way. Ladies at the front desk were kind and accommodating. My daughter loves Dr Gerro and felt very comfortable with her! read more

She is a very sweet and nice doctor that always made the time to see my younger son. Her staff is incredible and I care for them dearly,. My son has been to her office since he was 4 and I moved to California. She is a really caring doctor that take a very good approach with her patients. I am very sad that my son is turning 18 soon so I will need to search for a doctor. Big shoes to fill. read more

Dr. Gerro is very knowledgeable, caring doctor. She is always answering our questions and my kids love her.

Dr. Gerro is the most wonderful pediatrician! Very caring, kind, knowledgeable. She took excellent care of my son Max until he was 5 years old. Max is now 18 and we no longer live in Burbank. Miss her!! read more

I was so thankful for Dr Gerro today (and always). After the office closed at 12 in observance of MLK day, she took my call and she came back in to her office at 3 in the afternoon to see my daughter, who had been running a fever all night and all day. While she waited to hear the news of her new niece being born, she sat with us after her initial examination and showed us video of her grand daughters birthday party where Elsa and Anna appeared. She didn't have to do that, but after my husband and I casually mentioned Elsa to my daughter she was thrilled to show her the video. And, Dr Gerro was my pediatrician 25 years ago. My mom loved her for many years and so will I. I can't say enough about her AND her staff who always take the time to answer my questions and concerns I have as a new mother. read more

Dr Gerro was our kids doctor from birth till they were 18. We were fortunate to have her watch over them for so many years.

All 3 of my boys are now her patients and the experience could not have been better. Dr. Gerro is attentive, warm, and obviously very experienced. Plus, she has great office support staff. The encounters are focused and efficient. Win-win! read more

Dr. Gerro is a very kind and patient pediatrician and she genuinely cares for the well being of our twin babies. She addresses all of our concerns and gives us peace of mind. Also, as new parents, we have had several instances where we had to reach out to Dr. Gerro, after hours, and she has always been quick to call back and help us. Her staff is also great and very friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Gerro to any parent who is looking for a great pediatrician. read more

I have been taking my two boys to Dr. Gerro for ten years now, through the routine checkups , illnesses and a very dangerous asthma attack where my son had to be hospitalized. Dr. Gerro called me personally and called the attending pediatrician at the hospital to check on his condition during is stay. She really cares about her patients and has a very mild and pleasant manner. I like that Amy and Sonia in the office know me and my kids by name and are always very accommodating, even during busy times. read more

Awesome people! I called at the end of the day and they scheduled an appointment for tomorrow's morning! Good service, kind crew. Thanks!

I work in the medical field & vet/research MDs daily. I was sad when I changed insurance & had to leave Dr. Hammar's office & find a new MD for my 6mo old, but I am SO SO happy with Dr. Gerro's office. Her credentials and office staff checked out perfectly in my book! PROS Staff answers calls ASAP (I was on hold for 10min+ when I called HealthCare Partners & Facey Medical Group)...imagine if I called after hours! Helpful, kind, professional, and patient staff Dr. Gerro writes personal "take-home" notes for me after each appt Free Parking lot in back...only a few steps from the office Dr. Gerro takes after hours calls & returns calls within 30min! CON umm....I can't think of any....????? BEFORE we chose Dr Gerro: 1. Her office staff called my insurance to confirm she was in-network 2. I received new patient paperwork so I could fill it out ahead of time & wouldn't have to fumble around with it & a wiggly 6mo old in my hands on the day of appt 3. I was scared about only 1 MD being on staff, but now I LOVE the intimacy of dealing with a small staff & them knowing/remembering us NOW that we have Dr Gerro: 1. My mom had to take my son to the MD while I was at work & Dr Gerro gave her a handwritten note to catch me up/fill me in on the appt & what to expect 2. I feel comfortable knowing I can call with the tiniest questions at any time of day! 3. I feel like I have a CONCIERGE MD! read more

We chose Dr. Gerro as our pediatrician for our newborn daughter, and would highly recommend her! My husband and I are both in the medical field, so we were very selective while searching for a pediatrician. From the first meeting with her before our daughter was born she has been extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. She came to the hospital the same day our daughter was born for her first checkup (it was even a Sunday), and she followed up in person the next day as well. It is always convenient to call her office, as there are no long recordings or hold times, and we have been able to get in for last minute appointments with no problems. Her office staff has always been friendly, and professional. Thanks Dr. Gerro and staff! read more

Dr. Gerro has been my kids pediatrician for the past 14 years. She is such a wonderful doctor. She has helped us through so many obstacles and always goes above and beyond to help wherever she can. She has given us so many referrals that have been so beneficial to us and, she works well with other doctors in coordinating the best care for my kids. We cannot thank her and her staff enough. They are all so wonderful read more

I could give 10 stars to Dr. Gerro and her staff. They always accommodate us when our boys are sick. Dr. Gerro very quickly diagnosed my then 2-year-old with a chronic illness that is often misdiagnosed and we were able to get to CHLA and start treatment for him within the hour thanks to her knowledge and experience. She has been available to us in the middle of the night has offered to meet us at the ER, recently has come into her office to diagnose the flu on a Sunday, and more. The staff are so caring and thoughtful and always help us figure out insurance issues, work with pharmacies, etc. I don't want my kids to grow up so they can keep seeing her :) read more

I had been going to Dr. Gerro for over 4 years now. She had always being professional and a great doctor. Her front staff is great. BUT my surprise was that today I call to bring my daughter who is sick and Amy did an appointment for her. Minutes after making the appointment the accountant call me to let me know that they had problems with the insurance (which they NEVER notified). Last year I provide all the information from the insurance and told her that if she had any problems please contact me ASAP. Never happened, even today she accepted that she was fighting with the insurance but never told me since she was trying to take care of it without bothering me. Well she told me that the doctor cant see my daughter unless I pay for an unknown balance (of what she is fighting with the insurance) or pay the visit as private. This billing issue had not came out if my daughter did not happen to get sick. Every time that I take both my kids there I always pay my copay of 20-30 dollars for 10 minutes of her time. Is a shame that because she did not notify me before I have to take my daughter to a ER. I guess that they forgot about the Hipocratic Oath that they made when she became a doctor and prefer that I write down this rather than do what they swear to do protect the sick and this is a kid that we are talking about AND we never refused to pay anything if we have known about the insurance issues LONG time ago we had taken care of. I am still in shock that a doctor PEDIATRICIAN (our doctor for 4 years) prefer that something happen to your child rather than see them and solve any issue later.... read more

This review is of Sonia Arakelian - Dr. Gerro's longtime medical assistant. I have the highest respect for Dr. Gerro, but parents beware of the abrasive and aggressive treatment of Sonia Arakelian. I took my son to get the nasal flu mist vaccination to Dr. Gerro on Sept. 26th, 2014. I was told the by Dr. Gerro the MIST was a much more pleasant alternate to the standard needle vaccination. Sonia Arakelian, Dr. Gerro's assistant, was the one to administer the vaccine. She first grabbed the needle, I told her he wasn't having the shot, he was getting the mist. When she got the mister ready, she JAMMED it up his nose fiercely. He immediately jerked back and started crying. I got up to go over to him and she grabbed his head and shoved it up the same nostril again causing him to bleed profusely and hyperventilate. I didn't even have time to stop her before she jammed it up a second time. It was gut wrenching. I held him as he was bleeding and hyperventilating and called for Dr. Gerro. Sonia immediately ran out in the hallway and blamed it on my son, saying that he 'jerked' his head. That is NOT what happened. She was extremely aggressive and unapologetic. It took me and Dr. Gerro almost 1/2 hour to calm my son down and stop the bleeding. It was a lot of blood. She has consistently been abrasive and rough in her duties with my son, but this was just beyond acceptable. I told Dr. Gerro I would never let her in the room with my son again, and she agreed to that. It doesn't change the fact that Sonia Arakelian is unfit to do her job. read more

Dr. Gerro is an amazing doctor. We were new to the area when we first began seeing her and just felt really comfortable with her, she truly knows her stuff. We moved out of the area about 30-45 mind away and still continued to see her just because that's how great of a doctor she is. HOWEVER her front office staff is very RUDE. They are not helpful at all and when I call to make an appt I feel like I'm disrupting the lady from doing whatever she's doing. She's not very nice at all always sounds very bothered with the fact that she has to do her job. I just don't understand it and at this point am ready to switch doctors to someone closer to our area because the attitude plus the commute is starting to be a bit much. It's always the same lady too I really wish I got her name but it's truly unfortunate. read more

Dr. Gerro has been my daughter's doctor since birth.....going on 13 years with them. They are the best! There have been many times my girls needed to be seen quickly because of an emergency and their office has always accommodated us. Dr. Gerro takes her time and truly listens. I love the fact she has "old school" bedside manner. I will continue taking my girls to them till they age out of the practice. read more

Since I've met Dr. Gerro she's been very attentive. My daughter gets sick frequently. (She's in day care about 4-5 days a week with 12 other kids) I was commuting all the way from Burbank to Thousand Oaks, CA because my mom loved the Dr over there but that's such a far commute I decided there HAS to be someone closer. I did my research, went on my Cigna app/ Yelp/ Google read reviews and decided to give Dr. Gerro a shot. BEST DECISION I've made. She's so great! Very attentive. She calls to follow up. She squeezes you in when you MUST see her. I highly recommend going to Dr. Gerro. She's not just any Dr. She legitimately cares for your child. Very nice knowledgable over all always a great experience. I don't see us switching Dr. Anytime soon, unless I move away of course. THANK YOU DR. Gerro! read more

I have been taking my three children to Dr. Gerro for over 10 years, and have only good things to say about her and her office staff! I love that when I call and am greeted by the familiar voices that always answer the phone, they know who I am and also know my children. It is really comforting to feel like you are recognized by the person that you are talking to. Recently I had a yucky bug working its way through my family, when I called for a last minute appointment they got my daughter right in the same day. Then when my other daughter had four days of fever and woke up with a bloody nose (that just happened to fall on a Saturday), I was ready to take her to urgent care, but first I thought maybe I should call Dr. Gerro. She was paged and called me right back. She made me feel much better, and even told me not to go to urgent care that she could see my daughter! I would recommend this office to anyone, and I have many times! Thank you Dr. Gerro! read more
