I have known Dr. Micky for many years. My kids were still little and I was so happy to have found a doctor who came from Germany as well. She is so great to work with as a doctor. She has a very open and fun personality which makes it easy yo talk to her. She explains everything very well and makes sure the kids feel heard as well. She knew what was in the charts, had the history of my kids straight and was very smart about dealing with the numerous issues my older daughter developed. I can not count the times I had to contact her to get advice or help with something. She would ALWAYS answer within less then 24 hours and would have an answer ready. She would not hesitate to give assistance even when it was a lot of work to write something. She was such a pillar to lean on while my by now teenaged daughter was struggling a lot with mental health and other issues. Dr. Micky has been a strong part of our network we've built to keep our kids healthy. Unfortunately our insurance situation changed so we can't keep her any longer. The kids are 17 and 19 by now but I wish we could stay even for the last few years. You can trust that Dr. Micky will make decisions with your kid's wellbeing in mind. First off I will say that my children have been under Dr. Micky, Dr. Bender, and the rest of the pediatricians' and PA's care for almost a decade and we could not be happier with every single medical provider at this office. They are caring and knowledgeable medical professionals. I've generally had no complaints up until recently. It seems they have switched medical groups and now it is nearly impossible to get through to the office. Trying to reach the office feels like calling the IRS. It feels like I'm on hold for hours every time I try to call in. I hope this is rectified soon because if I had a more pressing concern or even just to ask the staff a question, I am not sure it will happen in a timely manner. read more

We understand the concept of your portal disclaimer, but it actually took you 3 days to respond. Also the portal doesn't allow picture attachments, which is insane. Dr. Micky is the absolute best! She is a mother herself and personally knows the struggles and worries that parents have. She is awesome with my daughter and very understanding when she is uncomfortable in the exam room. The office is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the vaccines are quick! Like most good pediatrician offices, they fill up quick so routine exams need to be scheduled a few weeks in advanced. Other important factors to take into consideration: 1. Dr. Micky has privileges at Children's Hospital LA- if you take your child to this emergency hospital, Dr. Micky can view their medical notes at a follow up exam. 2. The entire medical staff is really incredible. If you need a same day appointment for an urgent matter all doctors are just as warm and friendly, I've seen Dr. Bender who was also very kind and informative. 3. The pediatricians in this office rotate an on-call line 24/7. Should you ever have an after hours emergency, you can call the line and a doctor will return your call within 30 minutes. 4. Dr. Micky begins her appointments by asking you, the parent, if you have questions and takes the time to answer them one by one. I have been going to the medical office for about 3 years when I had my first child. My children's pediatrician Dr. Bender recommended Dr. Micky whom corrected my newborns son tongue-tie. I am a breastfeeding mother and was grateful that she did the quick in office procedure. My lactation consultant was surprised the pediatricians supported this procedure as she had mentioned some will refuse. This really helped us and I continue to breastfeed to this day successfully my now older infant. I noticed recently on her business card she is an Assistant Professor at UCLA and a lactation consultant. Breast feeding moms take note! Having a pediatrician who is also a lactation consultant will be beyond helpful for nursing mothers. Not only do I love Dr. Micky but my kids love her just as much!! My daughter would get sad if we'd visit for my one year old sons appointments without her!! They both are comfortable in her office and are happy to have to go. She's so patient and takes her time with us every time!! She always sticks around and asks so many questions to make sure they're on track and wants to make sure all your questions are answered!! I saw some previous reviews about people complaining about the call centers. It's not the easiest to deal with after hours calling but whenever I've caught dr Micky on call she answers every time!! (They are a group and all different doctors on different days) That not being her fault that it could be difficult to get through to some of the other doctors on call. I can't say enough about "Dr Micky"... We were in need of a change of Peds for our son because the previous two were just not bonding with him nor us. Our Ped was out of the office and she was covering... As soon as she walked through the door she spoke to our son and immediately put us in a great mood. I was paired with Dr. Micky as a result of delivering at St.Joseph's Medical Center, due to my poor planning and unexpected early delivery. Much to my surprise, in walked this woman with a bubbly aura. She impressed me with her genuine approach to my child. She also impressed me with her obvious thoughtfulness because my husband was asleep when she came in to examine my baby. She went out of her way to tell me everything I needed to know in a low indoor voice to avoid waking him. After my release from the hospital, I was even more pleased with her and her office staff. Was a more comfortable visit than I have ever experienced with a pediatrician, and the ease of scheduling as well as the proactive approach to accommodate not only Dr. Micky's schedule, but my unbalanced schedule made me feel like I was in the right place at the right time. Dr. Micky also impressed me with her communication style. Not only does she come across as someone genuinely who enjoys their job, but she engages everyone in the exam room while she explains what is going on, including the baby. She is definitely a doctor that I would recommend to ANYONE, and hope to be able to move my other child to her practice as well. read more

Unfortunately I agree with the negative review below me. I had not had any type of visit with this doctor besides a check up. When something happened above that she was a 0 star doctor. My 2 year old son went for routine blood work and her medical assistant called me (very rude mind you) and said his thyroid came back elevated and we need to send him to an endocrinologist. I had done some research about reasons this might happen and found that biotin might cause it. MIND YOU she was the doctor who recommended him to take multivitamins since he's a picky eater. Is it not written that he's taking this supplement in his chart? Am I the doctor that I have to figure out biotin might be the reason it is elevated? Should she not ask if he's taking a supplement before being poked with a needle? I requested to do a repeat blood test before being sent to a hormone doctor to make sure it was that. I made sure he was off the vitamins for a few days before having to be poked again for no reason due to a lack of doctor attention. Of course, they came back completely normal thank God. I had no words. Also- I called while I was in quest for a technical issue they said he had too much blood drawn for the month I contacted the doctor office they said she's out for lunch they paged her no answer. In my opinion, a pediatrician should always be available. These are children and you're their primary doctor. The medical assistants have no clue about anything. When they called and told me the doctor will order a repeat blood test, I asked how long he should be off the biotin they said that is a supplement he can continue taking it. I was mind blown. I said isn't that the reason she ordered a repeat blood test?? And she talks like she's so sure! Lol they called me two days after and said he should be off for two days. Excuse my language - but no shit Sherlock. Needless to say... I will be changing this doctor office. You should do the same and don't bother with these positive reviews. They must not have had an experience beyond check ups. Sure, she takes her time and answers questions but a pediatrician is much more than that. She shouldn't have to urge you to constantly take your kid to urgent care or ER (which was another experience with my one year old daughter). read more

We choose Dr. Obradovic, after seeing positive reviews on Yelp, unfortunately we didn't experience the same. She seemed great in person however pass the office visit we didn't receive much assistance or guidance. The doctor never picks up the phone or calls back, all the communication is done through an assistant who works at the front desk. It is extremely frustrating to communicate with a middle men, there is too much of back and forth. They also have portal system which they use for communication. This portal doesn't allow to attach images or files. I had to log into a system and send a message only to find out that I need to email images and test results through an email which they do not share upfront. What is the point of portal? It only creates delays especially when you are waiting to get answers in regards to a newborn. Portal system also indicates that it takes up to three days to get a response. This was extremely alarming way of communication and care. I can only imagine all the things that can go wrong if you have an emergency, while there is no sense or urgency or promptness for this doctor. My obgyn doctor, who is extremely busy. Not only that she works in the office, runs to the hospital through out the day to deliver babies, works night shifts at the hospital and is easily accessible for any questions or concerns even when I was not pregnant. I have her email address as well as cell phone number for an emergency situations. Dr. Obradovic works with children and doesn't offer that type of accessibility, responsiveness or care. I am also including screenshots of the messages I sent through portal to show what I mentioned above. The message specifically indicated that test results were already sent, the response was "I will be on a look out". There is nothing to be on a look out for. It states results were sent, please review and get back to us. We never heard back. With everything mentioned above we had to choose a different pediatrician read more

This is a long over due post. I have known Dr Micky and staff for over 6 years.. she has been a great mentor to me as a parent, nurse, and friend! We originally met in the hospital when I delivered my son.. off the bat she was warm and knowledgeable. And it carried on to all of our office visits. I loved her so much and fully believed in her practice that I decided to work with her as their pediatric LVN. Being a parent of her patient and a staff member of Dr Micky was such an honor because of the care she gave and the amazing feedback I received from patients. All very genuine all very true. I have moved in the last few years but still make the trek to see her because I honestly don't trust any other pediatrician. Sure.. getting through the phone lines is not fun as we are always "in a hurry" but you have to remember that good patient care is not rushed.. when you are placed on hold or as you are waiting for a call back it is only because there are other parents in need just like you.. just like me. Dr. Micky is wonderful. Both my wife and I trust her implicitly and she is a joyous, calming presence - even around us anxious, first time parents. We delivered at St. Joseph's across the street and while the hospital staff was great we weren't super happy with the OBGYN that our ACA insurance provided. We weren't sure that we'd like this pediatrician they assigned us but the second we met Dr. Micky - we knew we'd won the lottery. Dr. Micky (who seems to be quite the Star Trek fan) is bubbly and kind and also very re-assuring about most everything. She speaks English with a slight German accent, but that is never an issue. Dr. Micky is happy to answer questions while we are there and her office has an efficient email question system. We switched to a new health insurance system and the first and only doctor I wanted to be sure we still had access to was Dr. Micky. Our baby loves her and we do too. It Took me a Year and a half to finally get an appointment with Dr Micky who was my son's assigned Doctor! Before then, I was seeing PA's and other Doctors. My son was showing some major signs of regression and significant delays post his MMR vaccines that were administered at a Pediatricians office in Buffalo, NY. When I expressed my concerns for delays, the PA or MD that I was seeing told me that all of his delays would be corrected by just going to Head Start. I contacted the school district and got him assessed. He now has an IEP for special education under an (informal) Autism diagnosis. Informal because Regional Center would be the ones to fully assess and diagnose. From then we were referred to Regional Center who told us immediately following his assessment that he displayed Autistic characteristics. As a former preschool teacher and Mom who now does lots of research, I already knew that ASD was likely a possibility. When we finally scheduled with Dr Micky for a check up, we were told that he was due for more vaccines. We informed her that we chose not to vaccinate any further and are taking on a holistic approach. We also told her that we will not be vaccinating our unborn baby girl. We were told that their office refuses children who do not vaccinate because of their potential of spreading measles to other children. Not feeling it necessary to run down the list of why that statement was SO WRONG, I understood that this company was far too concerned about losing their big pharma checks than losing little patients. Ultimately denying Healthcare unless we shot our kids up with heavy metals, toxins and aborted fetal matter just to name a few. We've since found a doctor who gladly accepts our child(ren) and offers a list of holistic resolutions before offering prescriptions. Shame on you guys. All children deserve Healthcare no matter what and all parents deserve the right to choose. read more

It was my first visit a few days ago. I loved Dr. Micky however the office staff-reception and nurse were horrible. They were uninformed, rude and cold. Normally nurses make the experience for children fun and many times kids come in nervous as they know they will be getting vaccines. I was completely disappointed with how the nurse treated my daughter and how both receptionist treated me. If it wasn't for Dr. Micky being so awesome I would honestly not come back. read more

After delivering at St. Josephs in Burbank we didn't have a pediatrician for our baby picked out yet. When in the hospital walked in to our room was Dr. Micky she was the sweetest thing and super bubbly. When she did the exam on our baby she explained every little detail and answered all questions without making us feel like we were asking TO MANY question (like do most doctors do). Dr. Petra is an amazing doctor. You can tell she does care about her patients. I like that she takes her time to answer my questions and never rushes me. Office is clean and it's never crowded. I've known Dr. Micky for years, both professionally and personally, and she was my first pick for a pediatrician when I had my baby (and I know a lot of pediatricians). She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and very approachable. She has been very patient with all of my "first-time-mom questions" and always manages to put me at ease. She's also a certified lactation consultant, which was very helpful in the beginning when I was trying to figure out breast feeding and then when I made the decision to go to formula full time. As if having an amazing doctor for your kids is not enough, her office staff is great too. They've all been very welcoming and responsive. Making appointments and getting in to see the doctor has been easy, and we always feel well taken care of. Just love her. My Son is 2. We started with Dr. Boxstein who I also love, but we changed our insurance and wasn't covered with him anymore. I did some research and it looked like Dr. Bender was our next best bet. We liked him as well, but on our last visit he wasn't available so we got Dr. Micky. She was so sweet with my son, you could tell she really liked kids. Seems more like a team effort doing what's best with my son than just telling me what to do. Had some concerns about my son so I called this morning to the nurse, Dr. Micky called back and spoke with me and made an appointment for us on Friday just in case I needed it because Fridays book up quick. We can't say enough great things about "Dr. Micky". When our son was born, he had high Bilirubin levels (aka Jaundice) but the hospital where he was born released him so that we could take him home but asked us to follow up with a Pediatrician. Dr. Micky was recommended to us by my Obstetrician. After meeting Dr. Micky, she was concerned after doing a new blood test on our LO and that he was slow to eat and immediately had us take him to the emergency room so that he could be given direct UV lighting and get well hydrated. He was taken such great care of at St. Joseph's and it was all to Dr. Micky's quick action and care. He was back to normal in three days. Another thing that impressed us was that our baby developed bad eczema after two months and Dr. Micky suggested I cut out dairy as I was breastfeeding instead of prescribing medication and it did the trick!
