Please don't come here Dr Behzad Behmanesh was assigned to my newborn son so I I gave him a try. My 1 month old son had an eye infection so he prescribed him some eye drops that I used as directed and the eye infection didn't go away so I came back to see the Dr. once I was there I waited just for his front desk to tell me that my sons insurance has changed was not accepted by this doctor and that he won't be able to see him unless I pay a $100 co pay oh my other option was to take him to the emergency room ?!?! Also your front desk receptionist the older lady lacks empathy and compassion. read more

Dr Behmanesh is the best pediatric doctor. His office is never crowded, we're in and out. They office staff friendly and caring. He is an awesome respectful honorable man. My gynecologist introduced me to him the day my son was born. My son is 18 yrs old as of 12-30-2022. 6-4 and healthy. I was so happy to know that my son can still be seen by him or a close colleague after he turned 18 yrs old, I simply love Dr Behmanesh's personality and his receptionist. Unethical doctor who saw our daughter when she was born. He has a contract with my insurance company, refused to take my insurance when I was in the hospital, insisted on cash and overcharged me beyond the contracted rate with my insurance. This is a violation of the contract he has with my insurance. I called 10x times to ask for a correction and he refused to call me back and his reception refused to solve it. Horrible service! The front staff do not know what they are doing, extremely rude. Had to call 3 times to confirm the time of my appointment and every time they would say a different time. The day of my appointment I called once again and I was told there was "an emergency" and that they had to cancel my appointment. No call or anything ?? Once I showed up for my rescheduled appointment I waited in the lobby for an hour and a half. I was not aware it was a pediatricians office as well. A lot of sick kids coughing all over the place and very little waiting room space. The front staff was once again very rude. The doctor did not address any of my concerns. I wanted a referral to a specialist and she said she didn't think my issue was urgent (she did not even do a physical examination). I have been to the ER because of this twice and she still didn't think it was urgent? Denied a referral for a skin problem and only told me to use a different soap? Horrible staffing. I have been waiting for a referral to take my daughter to see the ophthalmologist for 3 weeks, I have been calling and calling to make sure the referral was done and nobody answer the phone, I finally get a hold of them and got told he forgot to put the referral, I call back a week after to get an update and the front desk told me he forgot again. I'm someone who doesn't like to make complaints at all because I understand the schedule might be busy but this time I'm really mad and frustrated because how come he forgot twice when I've been calling to ask for the same referral over and over, is either the front desk who is not delivering the messages to him or something else is happening because this is really unacceptable, not to mention he also FORGOT to place another referral a year ago and it took him more than a month to finally put the referral in. read more

Very happy with Dr.B... He's very knowledgeable and that mattered more to me than bedside manner. Even though I've never had an issue with that either. His staff is also amazing. Every time I've had a question or called in they've had the answer and if they weren't sure I was able to go in that same day without wait, which was very important to me. Dr. B doesn't jump to medication either, I've noticed he offers a safer alternative first and if that doesn't work then. Worse experience I have ever had! All thr time when we have an appointment with doctor Behzad, he rushes us. He doesnt check baby well, dont like to answer our questions. In our last visit, I asked him to check babys leg, there was white points. He didnt wanted to check them, and said its okay, it will happen in newborn babies. Just put vasiline. How he can tell it without seeing babys legs?! We came to the doctor to show these white points, to make sure is there everything okay. After his rude answer: " no needs to check, its okay" I decided to change my pediatrician. To be honest, he totally dont care about ur baby and his job! He all the time rushes you, answers questions very short. Example: give this medicine. Okay how to give, when to give, for what it helps. He might check ur baby in 5 minutes, no longerBy the way, 2 girls who are working at the reception were very nice and helpful! Also, he did not told us that we have to get certain vaccines for the baby. Our new pediatrician checked the baby and told we have to get some vaccines till baby become 2 months. The dr is lovely. The office staff is terrible. Waiting on a referal for obgyn for 2 weeks now. I get a call from a persom named anna and when i try to call back the man that answers says he cannot transfer me or let me speak to amna at all. When i call my imsirance amd ask why the referal is taking so long they say the dr office didnt fax over all the correct complete forms. Btw im 16 weeks pregnant amd havent been able to see an obgyn cus of this. Overall good dr but incompetent staff who doesnt seem to wamt to help anna calls from private and doesnt leave a callback number then they refuse to transfer me to her. I will say calling and getting ahold of someone is a crap shoot for non emergency matters. BUT Doctor is amazing, my daughter and myself feel very comfortable with him and the staff. They are all extremely friendly and he answers any questions and concerns. He also personally checks the messages and will call you after hours if there is an actual emergency that needs attention. The office is sometimes busy, but very clean and friendly. We hope to keep bringing our children to him. The building that he is in does charge for parking, however we have been fortunate to always find street parking. read more

I was optimistic about choosing Dr. Behmanesh as my primary care doctor but the lack of professionalism from her and her staff has been unacceptable and I'm currently looking for new options. The first red flag was the office staff who tried to charge me over $100 for a yearly physical appointment. I had to call my insurance while at the office and hand the staff the phone to make sure they understood that a yearly physical appointment does not have a co-payment when you have PPO insurance. I told Dr. Behmanesh about a mass on my head which is concerning and the Doctor recommended that I get a skull X-Ray. I went to get the skull X-ray the next morning and it took her office months to review the images. I had to consistently follow up and email her to get someone to review the images to decide next steps. The Doctor recommended a telehealth appointment to review the images with me and she NEVER showed up to the appointment. Please save yourself some time and do not select this doctor. read more

Dr. Bardowell recommended me Dr. Behmanesh when I was pregnant of my son. You know at first since I was a new mom I loved everything about his office because it's not like those usual doctor's offices that are packed and the waiting time is like hours. But the mother my son was growing I was growing as a mom and started noticing things. Well when my son was born his left eye would cry out of nowhere and the tear drop would leave a white mark on his cheek. I told the doctor about it and he said we will just monitor. There would be times that his eye wouldn't cry like maybe months but for some reason it would always come back. My son was also born with his bottom lashes inside instead of out but he told me that within a year they would come out which it did but the eye crying never stopped. When my son was 2 years and a half I told doctor behmanesh that his eye was still crying and he then sent me to Dr. Kim who is an excellent Ophthalmologist at Children's Hospital. Anyways since I have Medi-cal you know approvals take longer and all that. Once I got the approval and notes plus any x-rays from Dr. Behmanesh to be sent to Dr. Kim I was able to make the appointment. The day I called was September of 2017 and the appointment was made for March of 2018. Months passed and at the end of December 2017 I started noticing something on my son's left eye. Like a glare. A small white circle. I went to the children's hospital to get an appointment sooner at the beginning of Jan. 2018 and they did give it to me for Jan. 23 a week before his appointment I went to Dr. Behmanesh and told him what was going on with my son's eye. At this point the circle was noticible like you could see it from far away. Well he barely looked at him and I don't even think he noticed the white circle but he just said we will monitor him. Well I told him that I had made the appointment sooner with the Ophthalmologist which he responded ok just wait for that and bye. Turns out my son had eye cancer and he had it for at least 6 months. He had lost his vision completely from his left eye. January 25 two days after his first visit with Dr. Kim he had to removed his eye after going in into the surgery room for a couple of procedures to see how bad was the cancer. Dr. kim couldn't save it anymore he told me he had to do it at the moment since my son was under anesthesia or a week later because the tumor was going to start causing headaches, pressure amd other things. The cancer was too advanced and chemo wouldn't have been able to destroy the cancer. My son still had to go through chemo for 6 months after his surgery and thankfully he is alive now. Cancer free. Moral of the story mom's out there alwags go with your gut no matter if at the end you were wrong but at least you don't stay with the what if. I'm glad I went with my gut. I'm glad I got an appointment sooner. I'm glad I told the doctor again for the 5th time that his eye was crying. Don't ever let doctor behmanesh or any other doctor you go to that they are just going to monitor your kid or you to do it. Make them do test and look into it. That's why they are doctors to help us out with our health and our kids health not just to received a fat check. Yes they can not make miracles and they are not God but if they got in this career is to help out others. read more

Dr. behmanesh is a great doctor to my daughter. i am a first time mom and is always helpful and i always get my appointment at the same time i want them very nice staff always a clean office he is caring an very informative on what my daughter needs. I read all these very bad reviews on him and i dont seem to understand why. maybe some impatient parents and that they are so picky and demanding! im glad im not like that as a first time mom. i really like him i had him for 2 years now. and i will keep coming here. very nice building and always clean in the parking lot and outside. read more

So when I gave birth to my first daughter she was assigned to him and we just kind of stayed with him ever since... Now I have Medi-cal for my kids, so keep that in mind so that this review may be complete and you have all the information, so I feel I can leave a good and helpful review... So when my second daughter was born she was having some difficulties with her eyes. As a parent this is something that I feel is important to me so my daughter being a patient it should have been important to not only the doctor but to his staff as well! But it seems that they could truely care less not only about your feeling as the parent but for the child who is there patient! In my last encounter with the receptionist she basically accused my daughters opthomologist of scamming the insurance system by charging for procedures that were never preformed! Being that the optimoligst is the only one trying to do anything for my daughter I think that the problem doesn't lye in the outside it Lyes in the fact that the staff in this office just don't care about there patients!! Just that fact that your concern as basically the face of the office is not to help me as a parent but to talk bad about another doctors office should make you sick!!! So I would never say to not go to this office... Trust me it took me 7 years to figure out that this type of treatment shouldn't be tolerated.... I would say if your looking for Doctor who doesn't care enough to hire decent staff to care for the most precious gift in the world, this is your guy! Dr. Behmanesh is a great doctor. I never once had the feeling that he was trying to hurry me along. My daughter was born on Tuesday and she had some complications. He was doing everything possible to ensure his patient was going to be ok. He did want my daughter to stay longer because he didn't like how slow some results were coming back but I went against his wishes to do what I thought was best for my family. He pushed formula but my daughter had lost a lot of weight so again, he was looking out for his patient. She had her follow up today at his office and his staff was friendly and sweet. The office was clean and the receptionist made sure there wasn't anyone sick in the waiting room as to protect my newborn. I didn't get any attitude or see rudeness to other patients. Dr. Behmanesh spent a good amount of time with my baby today and he gave me several opportunities to ask questions and he made sure I understood what was being said. This started off a great place to take my infant . They were super friendly always attentive . Than all of a sudden they stop answering there phones . I left multiple voicemails , they never called me back . My baby is now a month late on her shots because they don't return phone calls . Dr. Bemanesh is the only pediatrician both my kids ages 3 1/2 years and 15 months old have ever seen. He is a sweet, caring doctor and has a gentle way with babies. He is always smiling and very friendly. What I like most about him is the fact that he doesn't jump to putting kids on antibiotics for every little thing and is not inlined to prescribe them as a precautionary measure. In fact, he discourages it, which as far as I'm concerned, is looking out for their long term overall health. He recommends following a strict CDC vaccination schedule. So, if you have issues with that, he is not for you. At all of our appointments he asks several questions about each child and has certain information he is looking to ascertain. I have doubts about those saying he asks nothing. That just doesn't make any sense at all. I think that parents need to realize that a check up is just a check up. If all is fine and well, great! It isn't always necessary to sit and chew the fat. When I hear that everything is fine and well with my kids, I'm out the door, grateful for healthy babies and don't really want to spend extra time hanging around in a place where people bring sick kids. Um, Germs? Maybe that's just me. Some parents could just sit there and go on and on and on about their kids and can't understand that maybe others have needs that may be a little more urgent. I'm on a tangent now but as a newish parent I'm finding that some parents can be some of the most annoying, self serving, self important people that expect others to just be in just as much awe of their little angels as they are. It cracks me up! Im saying this because some of these reviews seem unfair. As far as his staff goes, this is about him not them. They certainly could be friendlier. But I think they are very busy. We sometimes have seen Dr. Jila, his partner when he is unavailable and she is also a great doctor. It's nice to have her perspective as well. I have only one issue with Dr. Bemanesh and that is he recommends breast feeding for only one year. I don't agree with it and I also don't understand when it's been widely accepted and encouraged by both World Health Organization (WHO) and American Medical Association (AMA) to nurse for at least two years. Lastly, don't expect a fancy office. It could use a makeover. I have noticed a few minor upgrades. But we go for Dr. Bemanesh. read more

I have not been able to get a hold of this doctor for almost 3 weeks! My daughters appointment for her shots were on June 1. I showed up for the appointment and the doors were locked. Nobody answered the door or phone. Mind you, I called Thursday May 28 to/and confirm the date of her appointment. I've been calling everyday to reschedule the appointment and nobody answers or responds to my voicemail! The only reason why I'm still actively calling is because I need a copy of my daughters immunization records!! This is so frustrating.
