I was driving home from work, on 64 just before the Mechanicville exit when I was unable to avoid a blown out piece of tire in my lane (had cars on either side of me, couldn't change lanes). The tire, I thought became lodged and was dragging under my car. I pulled over just to find that it had knocked something loose and I was dragging a piece of my car. I wasn't familiar with my surroundings and just Googled auto repair shops. This shop was a 1/2 mile away. I arrived, explained my situation and although they were very busy, they took my car in immediately, removed what happens to be a large plastic covering (not needed to drive but for undercarriage protection) explained the entire situation to me and then sent me on my way...but refused to take payment! They said it wasn't a big deal for them to remove and they just wanted me to be safe on the road! I really tried to pay, but they wouldn't take it. Both the gentleman that helped me were just amazing. They didn't try to get me to buy anything or sell me extra services, nothing. I will most definitely be back, they have earned my trust!

I will add (strictly from a pricing perspective), be sure to ask what the service rates and charges are up front. From my recent experience, if you are having new tires installed, you are much better off going to Walmart or Cosco for 1/4 to 1/3 the price. Walmart is $11/tire or $15/tire with lifetime rotations, whereas Elm Drive is $50+/tire. I had small 15" tires put on my Fiesta and it was over $200 (labor, shop material charges, and disposal) compared to $44-60 for the same service by Walmart.

Close to my overnight destination, I managed to 'limp' car there after a couple cycling stops for engine to cool. at 81 years old I became veryworries & anxious about what to do! Once i found & contacted Malcolm, he agreed to come out right away - in the dark, and in freezing temperature to help me out. And INDEED he did! I had it looked at by three different mechanics in Richmond area. All gave me a list of things that needs replaced. Each one's list was different things to be replaced. None of their suggestions sounded right to me. After looking on Yelp I found Mr. Kweleme. Mr. Kweleme replaced two of my vehicle's spark plugs and changed the engine oil and it fixed the issue. I also asked his opinion on the other things mentioned by the previous mechanics, and except one thing, everything else that was told by other mechanics was not necessary. Mr. Kweleme confirmed those parts are in good condition and explained why he thinks they need no replacement. I think Mr. Kweleme is also charges resonably. Thank you Mr. Kweleme!
